Alzheimer’s disease is one of the most debilitating neurodegenerative diseases affecting the aging population. One of the neuropathological hallmarks of AD is an aggregation of the tau protein into neurofibrillary tangles(NFTs) in neurons and glial cells of the brain. Tau is a microtubuleassociated protein expressed mainly in neurons of the central nervous system[1].

A Zn Cl2-modified ion exchange resin as the catalyst for bisphenol-A synthesis was prepared by the ion exchange method. Scanning electron microscope（SEM）, Fourier transform infrared spectrophotometer（FT-IR）, thermo gravimetric analyzer（TGA） and pyridine adsorbed IR were employed to characterize the catalyst. As a result, the modified catalyst showed high acidity and good thermal stability. Zn2＋coordinated with a sulfonic acid group to form a stable active site, which effectively decreased the deactivation caused by the degradation of sulfonic acid. Thus the prepared catalyst exhibited excellent catalytic activity, selectivity and stability compared to the unmodified counterpart.

BACKGROUND Circular RNAs(circRNAs)are a newly discovered class of endogenous noncoding RNAs that may have roles in cancer genesis and *** the recent literature,dysregulated circRNAs have been extensively investigated in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Whether or not circRNAs are of clinical value for the management of HCC has not been *** To meta-analyze the diagnostic and prognostic value of abnormally expressed circRNAs in *** Eligible studies were sourced from PubMed,EMBASE,and CNKI online *** on patients’clinical characteristics,including diagnostic efficacy and overall survival,were *** diagnostic and prognostic parameters were respectively synthesized using the bivariate meta-analysis model and multivariate Cox hazard regression analysis based on Stata *** trim and fill method was adopted to assess the possible effects from publication *** A total of 21 eligible studies were *** pooled sensitivity,specificity,and area under the curve of abnormally expressed circRNAs in distinguishing HCC from non-cancer controls were 0.78(95%CI:0.69–0.85),0.80(95%CI:0.74–0.86),and 0.86,*** analyses showed that the downregulated circRNA expression signature correlated perfectly with HCC survival[hazard ratio(HR)=0.42,95%CI:0.19–0.91,P=0.028;I2=92.7%,P=0.000],whereas the HCC cases with high circRNA levels had significantly poorer prognoses than those of patients with low circRNA levels(HR=2.22,95%CI:1.50–3.30,P=0.000;I2=91%,P=0.000).Moreover,abnormally expressed circRNAs were intimately associated with tumor size,differentiation grade,microvascular invasion,metastasis,TNM stage,and serum alpha fetal protein level in patients with *** analysis based on sample type,control source,and expression status also yielded robust *** Abnormally expressed circRNA signatures show immense potential as novel non-invasive biomarker(s)for HCC diagnosis and prognosis.

We propose a new scheme to study the exact solutions of a class of hyperbolic potential *** first apply different forms of function transformation and variable substitution to transform the Schrodinger equation into a confluent Heun differential equation and then construct a Wronskian determinant by finding two linearly dependent solutions for the same *** then in terms of the energy spectrum equation which is obtained from the Wronskian determinant,we are able to graphically decide the quantum number with respect to each eigenstate and the total number of bound states for a given potential *** a procedure allows us to calculate the eigenvalues for different quantum states via Maple and then substitute them into the wave function to obtain the expected analytical eigenfunction expressed by the confluent Heun *** linearly dependent relation between two eigenfunctions is also studied.

Three-point head fixation was constructed to provide mechanical stability for single unit recording(SUR)on vestibular sensory system in living chinchilla ***,it is no more qualified to this work when the stimulation intensity becomes large because of frequent unit losing and neuron damage,which strongly implies that the mechanical stability has been broken during the ***,we constructed a novel hea0 fixation(skull cap assistant head fixation)provided by skull cap on the basis of three-point head fixation in order to improve the mechanical stability for SUR under the stimulation with large *** large area bone connection is the feature and advantage of this improved method,which directly fixes the tested local nervous tissue and microelectrode in an intact stable system through skull cap except two ear bars and a tube face *** data exhibited that skull cap assistant head fixation could significantly improve the success rate of neural response activity recording in the population of semicircular canal neurons under the stimulation with large intensity(amplitudd 00 deg/s).Based on the analysis of neural response activity and noise base-line during stimulation,our data further indicated that this method could significantly improve the mechanical stability for SUR during high-speed motion stimulation on vestibular system in living *** cap assistant head fixation extends the application of SUR on vestibular neuron in linear response range and provides a solid foundation for electrophysiological research on vestibular sensory system in fhrther studies.

Ore-proportioning optimization technique with high proportion of Yandi ore in sintering

The basic sintering characteristics of Yandi ore from Australia, including assimilation ability, liquid phase fluidity, self-strength of bonding phase, forming ability of silico ferrite of calcium and aluminum （SFCA）, and so on, were investigated in detail. Besides, the high temperature behavior and function of sintering were obtained. As a result, the techniques for ore-proportioning in sintering were obtained. The results show that Yandi ore possessing higher assimilation ability, better liquid phase fluidity, lower self-strength of bonding phase, and better forming ability of SFCA, should be mixed with iron ores whose properties are opposite to those of Yandi ore. In the optimization of sintering ore-proportioning, Yandi ore, whose price is relatively low, can be mixed as high as 40wt%.

Among the transition metal oxide catalysts,manganese oxides have great potential for formaldehyde(HCHO)oxidation at ambient temperature because of their high activity,nontoxicity,low cost,and polybasic *** this work,a MnO_(2)-based catalyst(M-MnO_(2))with an interconnected network structure was successfully synthesized by a one-step hydrothermal *** M-MnO_(2) catalyst was composed of the main catalytic agent,δ-MnO_(2) nanosheets,dispersed in a nonactive framework material of γ-MnOOH *** catalytic activity of M-MnO_(2) for HCHO oxidation at room temperature was much higher than that of the pure δ-MnO_(2) *** is attributed to the special interconnected network *** special interconnected network structure has high dispersion and specific surface area,which can provide more surface active oxygen species and higher surface hydroxyl groups to realize rapid decomposition of HCHO.

The time-interleaved analog-to-digital conversion(TIADC)technique is an effective method for increasing the sampling rate in a waveform digitization *** this study,a 20-Gsps TIADC system was designed.A wide-bandwidth performance was achieved by optimizing the analog circuits,and a sufficient effective number of bits(ENOB)performance guaranteed using the perfect reconstruction algorithm for mismatch error *** proposed system was verified by tests,and the results indicated that a-3 dB bandwidth of 6 GHz and the ENOB performance of 8.7 bits at 1 GHz and 7.6 bits at6 GHz were successfully achieved.

In vivo Anti-tumor Effect of siRNA Against STAT3 on Transplanted Lewis Lung Cancer in Mice

This study aims at determining the therapeutic effect of knockdown of signal transducers and activators of transcription3（STAT3） gene expression by short interference RNA（siRNA） on transplanted Lewis lung cancer in mice in vivo. pSilencer 2.1-U6 STAT3 siRNA against STAT3（STAT3 siRNA） was synthesized. Lewis lung cancer cells were inoculated subcutaneously into C57BL/6 mice. Seven days after inoculation, the tumor-bearing mice were randomly divided into 3 groups and received intratumoral injection of （1） vehicle（PBS solution）, （2） vector（negative control）, and （3） STAT3 siRNA. Tumor volume and weight were calculated. Tumors and the lungs were excised for 21 days after inoculation. Expressions of STAT3, vascular endothelial growth factor（VEGF）, and matrix metalloproteinase-2（MMP2） were analyzed by RT-PCR, Western blot, and immunohistochemical staining. HE staining and TUNEL assay were used to confirm the apoptosis of tumors. The synthetic STAT3 siRNA effectively suppressed tumor growth, prevented tumor from pulmonary metastasis, and induced tumor apoptosis in vivo compared with vehicle and vectore in controls. It significantly inhibited STAT3 expression to contribute to downregulation of VEGF and MMP2 expression within tumors in vivo. This study demonstrates that STAT3 siRNA can effectively inhibit the expression of STAT3 gene within tumors, leading to suppression of tumor growth, prevention of cancer from pulmonary metastasis, and enhancing apoptosis of the transplanted Lewis lung cancer in mice in vivo.
