Background The thirteen-valent pneumococcal conjugate vaccine(PCV13)is not included in the national immu-nization program and is administered voluntarily with informed consent in *** preparation for assessing the impact of pilot introduction in Hainan Province,we conducted a carriage study among children under 5 years of age from four locations in Hainan Province,*** From March to June 2022,nasopharyngeal(NP)swabs,collected from healthy children aged younger than 59 months who lived in the 4 different locations(Haikou,Wanning,Baisha and Qiongzhong)in Hainan Province,were tested for pneumococcus using conventional *** isolates were serotyped using the Quel-lung *** factors associated with pneumococcal colonization were assessed using univariate analysis and multivariable logistic regression adjusting for age,daycare attendance and other *** Pneumococcus was isolated in 710(30.4%)of the 2333 children *** 737 pneumococci,29 serotypes were identifed;60.9%were PCV13 serotypes;the most common vaccine serotypes were 6B(20.4%),19F(13.0%),6A(11.9%)and 23F(6.1%);and the most common nonvaccine serotypes were 23A(12.9%),34(6.1%)and nontypeable(NT)pneumococci(5.6%).Children vaccinated with PCV13 had lower carriage(17.7%vs 32.5%;P=0.0001)and fewer PCV13 serotypes(41.9%vs 62.7%;P=0.0017)compared to unimmunized *** adjustment,NP carriage Was higher among children attending daycare(aOR=2.3,95%CI:1.7-3.2),living in rural areas(aOR=1.4,95%CI:1.1-1.8),living with siblings(aOR=1.3,95%CI:1.0-1.6)and whose mothers had completed senior high/technical sec-ondary school(aOR=1.5,95%CI:1.1-2.0).In contrast,completion of 3-4 doses of PCV13 were associated with a lower carriage rate(aOR=0.6,95%CI:0.4-0.9).Conclusions We established the baseline of pneumococcal carriage,serotype distribution and PCV13 immuni-zation rates among healthy children under 5 years of age in Hainan Province,prior to the introduction of PCV13 into th

Dynamic Recrystallization Behavior of Bimodal Size SiCpReinforced Mg Matrix Composite during Hot Deformation

The（submicron＋micron） bimodal size Si Cp-reinforced Mg matrix composite was compressed at the temperature of 270–420 °C and strain rate of 0.001–1 s^-1. Then, dynamic recrystallization（DRX） behavior of the composite was investigated by thermodynamic method and verified by microstructure analysis. Results illustrated that the composite possess the lower critical strain and higher DRX ratio as compared to monolithic Mg alloys during hot deformation process. The predicted DRX ratio increased with the proceeding of compression, which was well consistent with the experimental value. Results from thermodynamic calculation suggested that the occurrence of DRX could be promoted by Si Cp, which would be further proved by microstructure analysis. Formation of particle deformation zone around micron Si Cp played a significant role in promoting DRX nucleation. Nevertheless, the distribution of submicron Si Cp was increasingly uniform with the proceeding of compression, which could fully restrain grain growth. Therefore, the corporate effects of micron and submicron Si Cp on DRX contributed to the improvement of DRXed ratio and the refinement of grain size for the composite during compression process.

Bioleaching of two different types of chalcopyrite by Acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans

Two different types of chalcopyrite （pyritic chalcopyrite and porphyry chalcopyrite） were bioleached with AcidithiobaciUus ferrooxidans ATF6. The bioleaching of the pyritic chalcopyrite and porphyry chalcopyrite is quite different. The copper extraction reaches 46.96% for the pyritic chalcopyrite after 48-d leaching, but it is only 14.50% for the porphyry chalcopyrite. Proper amounts of initial ferrous ions can improve the efficiency of copper extraction for the two different types of chalcopyrite. The optimum dosage of ferrous ions for the pyritic chalcopyrite and porphyry chalcopyrite is different. The adsorption of ATF6 on the pyritic chalcopyrite and porphyry chalcopyrite was also studied in this paper. It is found that ATF6 is selectively adsorbed by the two different types of chalcopyrite; the higher adsorption onto the pyritic chalcopyrite than the porphyry chalcopyrite leads to the higher copper dissolution rate of the pyritic chalcopyrite. In addition, the zeta-potential of chalcopyrite before and after bioleaching further confirms that ATF6 is more easily adsorbed onto the pyritic chalcopyrite.

Association between non-culprit healed plaque and plaque progression in acute coronary syndrome patients:an optical coherence tomography study

This study aimed to explore the protective effects of the traditional Chinese Medicine formula Shenkang Ⅶ recipe(SK-7)on renal fibrosis and the *** fibrosis was induced by unilateral ureteral obstruction(UUO)in *** rats were then divided into 5 groups:control group(Sham operation),UUO model group,UUO model plus low to high doses of SK-7(0.5,1.0,or 2.0 g/kg/day,for 14 days)*** animals were sacrificed on the 7th or 14th day.K idney tissues were collected for histopathological exarminations(hematoxylin and cosin and Masson's trichrome staining).Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression of collagen type II(Col II),fibronectin(FN),α-smooth muscle actin(a-SMA),TIMP metallopeptidase inhibitor 2(TIMP2),matrix metallopeptidase 2(MMP2),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-1β(IL-1β)and monocyte chemotactic protein-1(MCP-1).The TGF-β1/Smad,NF-κB and Sonic hedgehog signaling proteins were detected by Western *** results showed that SK-7 prevented UUO-induced renal injury and accumulation of collagen *** fbrosis biomarkers Col Ⅲ,FN,α-SMA and TMP2 were increased in the rats after UUO and decreased by SK-7,while MMP2 was upregulated after ***-7 also suppressed the levels of TNF-α,IL-1βand MCP-1 in UUO *** addition,SK-7 inhibited activation of the TGF-B/Smad,NF-κB and sonic hedgehog signaling(SHH)*** together,these findings suggest that SK-7 may regulate the synthesis and degradation of extracellular matrix,reduce inflammation and suppress the proliferation of fibroblasts,by blocking the TGF-β1/Smad,NF-κB and SHH signaling pathways to exert its anti-renal fbrosis effect in UUO rats.

Treatment of severely calcified coronary artery disease by intravascular lithotripsy primary outcomes and 180-day followup from the Chinese SOLSTICE Trial

Facet effects on bimetallic ZnSn hydroxide microcrystals for selective electrochemical CO2 reduction

Employing crystal facets to regulate the catalytic properties in electrocatalytic carbon dioxide reduction reaction（eCO2RR） has been well demonstrated on electrocatalysts containing single metals but rarely explored for bimetallic systems. Here, we synthesize Zn Sn（OH）6（ZSO）microcrystals（MCs） with distinct facets and investigate the facet effects in eCO2RR. Electrochemical studies and in situ Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy（in situ-FTIR） reveal that ZSO MCs produce mainly C1 products of HCOOH and CO. The {111} facet of the ZSO MCS exhibits higher selectivity and faradaic efficiency（FE） than that of the {100} facet over a wide range of potentials（-0.9 V ～-1.3 V versus RHE）. Density Functional Theory（DFT） calculations elucidate that the {111} facet is favorable to the adsorption/activation of CO2molecules,the formation of intermediate in the rate-determining step, and the desorption of C1 products of CO and HCOOH molecules.

Spherical Confinement Generates Entropic Force to Accelerate Polymer Chain Detachment

To understand the dynamic process of polymer detachment, it is necessary to determine the mean detachment time of a single breakable link, which is modeled as a spring. Normally, this time can be viewed as the escape of a Brownian particle from the potential well of the spring. However, as the free dangling length of the polymer chain increases, the conformational entropy of the chain is affected by geometric confinement. It means that the wall exerts a repulsive force on the chain, resulting in accelerated link detachment from a macroscopic perspective. In this work, we investigate the effect of entropy on the detachment rate in the case where the substrate is spherical. We demonstrate that spherical confinement accelerates chain detachment both inside and outside the sphere. An analytical expression for the mean detachment time of breakable links is given, which includes an additional pre-factor that is related to the partition function. Additionally, we analyze the expressions for entropic forces inside the sphere, outside the sphere, and on a flat wall, comparing their magnitudes to explain the difference in mean detachment time.

Woven coronary artery (WCA) is a rare and underdiagnosed anomaly characterized by epicardial coronary artery dividing into multiple twisted single channels then anastomosing at distal segment. The malformation is usually believed as a benign condition without traces of thrombosis or dissection flaps, and merely diagnosed incidentally. However, coincidence of WCA with atherosclerosis or tachycardia may incur myocardium ischemia,[1] and even caused acute coronary syndrome (ACS) or sudden cardiac death (SCD) in reported cases.[2–4] Since the absence of evidence, the guideline for management of the coronary malformation is still lacking. Notably, as an intravascular image modality with high resolution,[5] optical coherence tomography (OCT) may shed lights on diagnosis and management of WCA.[2] Herein, we reported three cases of optimizing WCA management through performing OCT.

Coronary subclavian steal syndrome (CSSS) has been recognized lately as an unusual clinical entity,giving rise to angina but rarely causing an acute coronary syndrome (ACS). The prerequisites for the appearance of CSSS are both a patent left internal mammary artery (LIMA) graft and severe stenosis of the left subclavian artery (LSA). However,LSA is often overlooked in the diagnostic evaluation of patients with angina,who have underwent coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG). We report an unusual case of non-ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI) caused by subtotal occlusion of proximal LSA.
