Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)and type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)are two disease conditions for which obesity is a risk factor.^(1)Due to the close relationship between the three pathologies,researchers frequently use the same mouse models to identify the underlying processes of obesity,NAFLD,and *** instance,leptin(Lep)-null(ob/ob)and leptin receptor(Lepr)-deficient(db/db)mice spontaneously develop NAFLD and show different phenotypes of extreme obesity and diabetes,respectively.

Electric vehicles(EVs)are one of the more emerging and significant areas,representing the future of ***,the increased demand for EVs brings greater attention toward the development of the charging ***,this paper addresses the multifunctional charging system integrated with the grid,EV battery and household *** presents an improved idea about the charging system with grid connection and its connection to the varying local nonlinear *** consists of a voltage source converter(VSC)tied to the grid and bidirectional converter,which charges/discharges the battery and also regulates the constant voltage across the DC bus,where all the vehicles are connected for *** also shows the operations of charging/discharging the battery of EVs and the voltage and current profile across the battery as per the state of charge(SOC)***,the sparse constrained proportionate normalized least mean fourth(SCP-NLMF)based method is used to control the charging system by estimating the active component of load *** derived mean square error(MSE)of load current is improved due to low convergence rates in later *** adaptation process becomes more accurate by mitigating the MSE error of load current to converge faster and the dynamic response is further *** simulated and tested results validate the accuracy and efficacy of the SCPNLMF technique and charging system.

Due to challenges with relentless scaling of conventional bulk complementary metal-oxide- semiconductor （CMOS） devices, non-conventional CMOS devices have been of great interest to scale metaboxide-semiconductor field effect transistors （MOSFETs） to the 32nm gate length and below effectively. Among non-conventional CMOS devices, quadruple-gate （QG） MOSFETs have been gaining interest because they are sup- posed to provide excellent electrostatic controllability for ultra-large-scale integration （ULSI） applications. A number of attempts have been made to analyze QG MOSFETs analytically with a great amount of success. Sharma et al. have presented an an- alytical threshold voltage model for QG MOSFETs using an isomorphic polynomial function for solv- ing the 3D Poisson equation. Chiang has presented a number of models of scaling length,threshold voltage and subthreshold current for QG MOS- FETs adopting a concept of the so-called equivalent number of gates （ENGs）.

Bone metastases occur in patients with advanced-stage prostate cancer(PCa). The cell-cell interaction between PCa and the bone microenvironment forms a vicious cycle that modulates the bone microenvironment, increases bone deformities, and drives tumor growth in the bone. However, the molecular mechanisms of PCa-mediated modulation of the bone microenvironment are complex and remain poorly defined. Here, we evaluated growth differentiation factor-15(GDF15) function using in vivo preclinical PCa-bone metastasis mouse models and an in vitro bone cell coculture system. Our results suggest that PCa-secreted GDF15 promotes bone metastases and induces bone microarchitectural alterations in a preclinical xenograft model. Mechanistic studies revealed that GDF15 increases osteoblast function and facilitates the growth of PCa in bone by activating osteoclastogenesis through osteoblastic production of CCL2 and RANKL and recruitment of osteomacs. Altogether, our findings demonstrate the critical role of GDF15 in the modulation of the bone microenvironment and subsequent development of PCa bone metastasis.
