Photons that are entangled or correlated in orbital angular momentum have been extensively used for remote sensing,object identification and *** has recently been demonstrated that intensity fluctuations give rise to the formation of correlations in the orbital angular momentum components and angular positions of random *** we demonstrate that the spatial signatures and phase information of an object with rotational symmetries can be identified using classical orbital angular momentum correlations in random *** Fourier components imprinted in the digital spiral spectrum of the object,as measured through intensity correlations,unveil its spatial and phase *** similarities with conventional compressive sensing protocols that exploit sparsity to reduce the number of measurements required to reconstruct a signal,our technique allows sensing of an object with fewer measurements than other schemes that use pixel-by-pixel *** remarkable advantage of our technique is that it does not require the preparation of fragile quantum states of light and operates at both low-and high-light *** addition,our technique is robust against environmental noise,a fundamental feature of any realistic scheme for remote sensing.

The transverse structure of light is recognized as a resource that can be used to encode information onto photons and has been shown to be useful to enhance communication capacity as well as resolve point sources in superresolution imaging. The Laguerre-Gaussian(LG) modes form a complete and orthonormal basis and are described by a radial index p and an orbital angular momentum(OAM) index l. Earlier works have shown how to build a sorter for either the radial index p or the OAM index l of LG modes, but simultaneous determination of p and l is not straightforward and has not yet been realized. Here we propose and experimentally demonstrate a scheme to accomplish complete LG mode sorting, which consists of a novel, robust radial mode sorter, an l-dependent phase shifter and an OAM mode sorter. Our scheme is efficient, scalable, and intrinsically crosstalkfree, and therefore has potential for applications in optical communications, quantum information technology, superresolution imaging, and fiber optics.

Mechanistic simulation of fracture effects on miscible CO_(2)injection

Miscible injection of carbon dioxide(CO_(2))into oil reservoirs as an Enhanced Oil Recovery(EOR)method has proved to be highly *** to the volume of the world's recoverable oil resides inside the fractured reservoirs,investigation of the controlling parameters in the efficient injection of miscible CO_(2) is of paramount importance,mainly owing to the intricacies and complexities associated with this *** complexity in fractured reservoirs arises due to the presence of two distinct media for fluid transfer(i.e.,matrix and fracture network)and the corresponding differences in fluid ***,performance of miscible carbon dioxide injection in these reservoirs was investigated through mechanistic simulation model in the form of dual-porosity(DP),and dual porosity-dual permeability(DPP).Moreover,due to limited supply and high injection costs of this gas in its pure form,performance of the miscible CO_(2) injection combined with C_(1),N_(2),and H_(2)S was also surveyed and compared to pure gas injection case.A sensitivity analysis was also performed based on fracture porosity,fracture horizontal and vertical permeability,matrix horizontal permeability,block height shape factor,matrix capillary pressure,and impure injected components in DP and DPP models,showing that matrix horizontal permeability and capillary pressure have the greatest,and porosity has the lowest impact on miscibility performance and oil recovery in these *** the end,after investigating the effect of different injection cases on miscibility performance and oil recovery,it was concluded that the highest oil recovery in miscible gas injection obtained through optimization of a gas composition having the lowest minimum miscibility pressure(MMP)and the lowest density.

Background: Oral mucositis(OM) is one of the most common complications of mucotoxic cancer *** induces clinically significant pain, increases the risk of infections and affects the patients’ quality of ***: This study investigated the effects of an herbal preparation from Plantago ovata hydrocolloid in the prevention and treatment of OM, in breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy with a regimen including ***, setting, participants, and interventions: This research was a double-blind, randomized, controlled crossover trial. The herbal compound consisted of a mixture of 500 mg of P. ovate husk in 30 m L water plus three drops of vinegar per dose, which was used as a mouthwash. Phytochemical and physicochemical tests of the compound were also performed. Twenty-eight patients who developed mucositis during the chemotherapy screening cycle were randomized to the herbal compound(n = 14) and placebo(n = 14) groups. They received herbal compound or placebo three times per day during their next chemotherapy cycle(cycle 1 of treatment). Patients were crossed over during cycle 2 of treatment and received the alternative therapy. An oral care protocol was prescribed to all patients in cycles 1 and 2 of the *** outcome measures: The patients were visited at baseline, the end of the first and second weeks of the screening cycle, and the end of the first and second weeks of each of two treatment cycles. The degree of mucositis was used as the main treatment outcome. Other indexes, such as the severity of pain, xerostomia grade and the quality of life were also ***: Compared with the placebo, the herbal compound significantly reduced the degree of mucositis,the severity of pain and the xerostomia grade;it also improved the patients’ quality of life(P < 0.05).Comparison between the screening cycle and placebo treatment group showed that the oral care protocol had a significant effect in the reduction of OM(P < 0.0

本文提出了一种可视化燃烧室,用于对3种尺寸的随机堆积结构开展过滤燃烧实验,该结构分别由直径为5,10,15 mm的氧化铝颗粒堆积而成。通过搭建燃烧平台,研究了不同颗粒直径堆积床中火焰的燃烧波高度、火焰传播速度、火焰温度及排放特性。结果表明:在可燃工况下,颗粒直径5 mm堆积床中火焰最高温度随火焰传播过程减小,火焰传播速度变快;而在颗粒直径10和15 mm堆积床中火焰最高温度随火焰传播过程增大,火焰传播速度变慢。

Facies Analysis, Sedimentary Environment and Sequence Stratigraphy of the Carboniferous Deposits of Gachal Formation, Eastern Central Iran (Rahdar Section)

Early carboniferous deposits of the Kalmard block, with various characteristics in different outcrops, are recognized by Gachal Formation. Generally speaking, this formation comprises of four different members (A, B, C and D), consisting of carbonate and evaporative rocks. Gachal Formation is composed chiefly of 55 meters sandstone and limestone interbedded with shale. According to the lithological and microscopic studies, Gachal Formation is deposited in beach, semi-restricted and open lagoon, shoal and open marine environments. Vertical changes of microfacies and the curve of its depth changes account for the high thickness of the facies of shoal and bar sub-environments and the low thickness of the facies of lagoon and open marine sub-environment as well. Gachal Formation rocks in Rahdar section are deposited in a low-angle?homoclinal ramp?located in southern Paleothysis Ocean. The carbonate-sandstone sequence in?Gachal Formation in Rahdar section is composed of a depositional sequence separated from each other by type 1 sequence boundaries. Deposits of this formation are separated from lower deposits by type 2 sequence boundary and from?Khan Group by unconformity. The sedimentary sequence identified in this formation points to the age of late Visean, conforming to Kaskaskia IV. The erosional boundary between Gachal and Khan Formations is relatively compatible with drop in sea level at Late Kaskaskia global scale.

HER-2,P53 and Hormonal Receptors Protein Expression as Predictive Factors in Breast Cancer Prognosis

OBJECTIVE Breast cancer is a heterogeneous disease with vari-able biological and clinical *** conducted a studyto evaluate P53,HER-2/neu and hormonal receptor expression aspredictors of prognosis in breast *** In a prospective study,we recruited 81 consecutivepatients with primary operable breast cancer who were treatedwith mastectomy followed by locoregional radiotherapy or che-motherapy and studied the presence of P53,HER-2/neu andhormonal receptors (ER/PR) expression in tumor tissues by im-munohistochemical *** between these markersexpression and clinical outcomes,including local and regionalrecurrence and metastasis were *** analysis wasperformed with the SPSS *** The mean time of follow-up was (47.3±4.6) *** of P53,HER-2/neu,Estrogen receptors and progester-one receptors were observed in 31.1%,38.5%,31.8% and 51.7% ofthe patients,respectively.P53,HER-2/neu and Negative ER statuswere potent predictors of local-regional recurrence (P=0.034,0.038,0.044,respectively).Also HER-2/neu,Negative ER and NegativePR status were strong predictors of metastasis (P=0.001,0.042,0.054,respectively).CONCLUSION P53 and HER-2/neu expression and also steroidreceptors status (ER/PR status) have an important role in predict-ing the outcome of breast cancer and thus may be of value in se-lecting suitable therapeutic strategy and determining prognosis inthese patients.

Facies Analysis, Depositional Environment of the Lower Permian Deposits of Chili Formation in Kalmard Block, Eastern Central Iran (Darin Section)

Early Permian deposits in north of Kalmard region recognize with formal group of Khan;they have various features in the different place. This group includes four different formations from lower to the upper part: Chili, Sartakht and Hermez. These formations consist of carbonate rocks. Chili Formation has 104 m, thickness in Darin section and consists of limestone with intermediates of shale and marland sandstone. Lower boundary of this formation is disconformable with Gachal formation. The upper boundary is separated by unconformity from the upper part Sartakht formation according to the lithological characters and microscopic studies, cause identifications of beach, intertidal, open and semi-restricted lagoon, shoals and bar and open marine sub-environ- ments for the Chili Formation. Vertical changes of microfacies and depth changes curve show much more thickness of shoals and bar microfacies, and little thickness of open and semi-re- stricted lagoon and open marine microfacies. Deposits of Chili Formation in Darin section deposited in the gentle gradient Homoclinal ramp in the south of Paleotethys Ocean. Two depositional sequences have been identified in this formation, based on recognized Fusulinid, show age of Sakmarian, which has adaptation with Lower Absaroka III.

Introduction: Congenital hearing loss is the most common sensory deficit in the world and mutations in GJB2 gene are the most common cause of deafness in many populations. Frequency of GJB2 mutations is estimated about 16% in Iran and varies among different provinces with a decreasing trend from north to south. The aim of this study was to investigate the frequency of GJB2 mutations in Mazandaran province, north of Iran, among non-syndromic hearing loss patients. Methods: 262 patients from 204 families participated in this study. After genomic DNA extraction, GJB2 gene analysis was carried out using DNA sequencing of both coding and non-coding regions by ABI 3130XL genetic analyzer. Results: 30.15% of all subjects showed mutations in GJB2 gene. Four mutations, including c.35delG (Gly12Valfs*), IVSI-1 + 1G > A, c.95G > A (Arg32His) and c.224 G > A (Arg75Gln) comprises 69.89% of all mutations in this study c.35delG and IVSI-1 were the most common mutations among patients respectively. Codon 75 mutation (c.224G > A. p: Arg75Gln) with autosomal dominant inheritance was seen in 7 cases from 3 families. 22 patients showed only one mutation in GJB2 gene and in 126 (48.09%) individuals, parents had a consanguineous marriage. Discussion: Frequency of GJB2 gene related hearing loss among patients was higher than average (16%) in this province. This study also showed a dominant inheritance pattern of GJB2 gene in this area. Consanguineous marriage also showed highly frequent among parents. More investigation needs to clarify cause of hearing loss in those 22 patients with one mutation in GJB2 gene, either two gene inheritance or another gene may be responsible for hearing loss.
