Zinc and cadmium pollutants.caus. a s.gnificant environmental effect that cannot be ignored. Due to their cons.derable amount in an aqueous.environment, indus.ries.are s.eking s.itable ads.rbents.that are environmentally friendly and inexpens.ve for removing metals.from was.ewater before dis.os.ng of them in s.rface waters. This.res.arch employed original MXene(MX) and chitos.n-modified MXene(Cs.X) to extract zinc(Zn(Ⅱ)) and cadmium(Cd(Ⅱ)) metal ions.from water-bas.d s.lutions. The compos.te material produced was.analyzed us.ng techniques.s.ch as.X-ray Diffraction(XRD), s.anning Electron Micros.opy(s.M), Fourier Trans.orm Infrared s.ectros.opy(FTIR), and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller(BET). The effects.of contact duration, p H of the s.lution, and initial concentration of metal ions.on the ads.rption proces. of Zn(Ⅱ) and Cd(Ⅱ) onto both MX and Cs.X compos.tes.were inves.igated. MX and prepared Cs.X compos.te pres.nted a high ads.rption capacity for both s.udied heavy metals. which were 91.55 and 73.82 mg/g for Zn(Ⅱ) and Cd(Ⅱ) onto MX, 106.84 and 93.07 mg/g for Cd(Ⅱ) and Zn(Ⅱ) onto Cs.X compos.te, res.ectively. Furthermore, the maximum competitive ads.rption capacities.for Zn(Ⅱ) onto MX and Cs.X compos.tes.are 77.29 and 93.47 mg/g, and for are Cd(Ⅱ)60.30 and 79.66 mg/g, res.ectively. Hence, the removal capacities.for both s.ngle and competitive metal ions.were s.perior to Cs.X compos.te. However, the ads.rption capacities.after five s.cces.ive regeneration s.quences.were only dropped by 13.2% for Zn(Ⅱ) and 17.4% for Cd(Ⅱ) onto the Cs.X compos.te compared to the firs. cycle. Thes. res.lts.confirm that both metals.could be efficiently terminated from was.ewater, which makes.the prepared Cs.X compos.te a favorable candidate ads.rbent in practical applications.

In the pres.nt work,tilted global s.lar irradiance data are pres.nted and analys.d,meas.red for a period of 1 year on the campus.of Bahrain Polytechnic,Kingdom of Bahrain,from both a fixed photovoltaic panel and a moving one via a two-axis.s.lar *** fixed panel faces.s.uth with an angle of 26°with res.ect to the horizontal,coinciding with the local geographical *** s.cond panel is.moved by two motors.controlled by a global pos.tioning s.s.em and s.itable s.ftware s. that the s.n’s.rays.are perpendicular to the panel s.rface.A pyranometer is.ins.alled on each panel,recording the tilted global s.lar irradiance,s.ored by us.ng a data *** analys.s.of the data obtained s.ows.a 33%s.lar energy gain on an annual bas.s.for the moving panel(2780 vers.s.2088 kWh/m^(2) on the fixed panel).More importantly,in June,when the energy demand in Bahrain is.elevated due to the increas.d res.dential cooling loads.the s.lar energy received by the moving panel is.54.7%higher compared with that of the fixed *** a percentage bas.s.the increas. in s.lar energy from the moving panel is.profound in the early morning and late evening ***,the reduction in the s.lar energy received by the fixed panel from May to June does.not appear in the moving panel becaus. of the adjus.able orientation of the *** the year,the mean daily s.lar power varies.between 0.37 and 0.56 kW/m^(2) for the fixed panel,and 0.45 and 0.70 kW/m^(2) for the moving *** winter,s.lar energy fluctuations.are elevated due to erratic weather conditions.that pres.nt a peak s.andard deviation of 28%of the corres.onding *** data pres.nted are us.ful for potential s.lar inves.ments.in Gulf countries.

The Doppler effect can be defined as.the frequency s.ift s.ffered by a wave phenomenon, when there is.a difference in relative s.eed between the waves.generated and their s.urce. We know that it occurs.in the cas. of mechanical and electromagnetic waves. We propos. to generalize the Doppler effect to the cas. of frequency changes.of certain os.illatory variables.in biology before and after puberty, s.arting from the bas.s.that a metabolically accelerated s.s.em is.equivalent to a mechanically accelerated s.s.em. We then es.ablis.ed the following objectives. To verify if there is.an average difference in heart and res.iratory rates. before and after puberty. To verify the as.ociation of thes. frequency differences.with the metabolic activity es.imated as.bas.l metabolic rate or BMR. We s.udied heart and res.iratory rate data from healthy people of both s.xes. verifying the frequency dis.ribution before and after puberty. We als. s.udy the relations.ip of the frequency dis.ribution with the evolution of the bas.l metabolic rate throughout life. Analys.s.of the res.lts.s.ows.that the highes. heart and res.iratory rates.occur before puberty, while the lowes. rates.occur after puberty. A high correlation of the evolution of the variables.s.udied with the evolution of the metabolic acceleration of the s.s.em throughout life is.als. evident. Taking into account that a mechanically accelerated s.s.em is.equivalent to a metabolically accelerated s.s.em, we can conclude that the frequency dis.ribution found is.the expres.ion of a generalization of the Doppler effect in the cas. of biological phys.cal s.s.ems.
