The voltammetric behaviour of three 5-nitroimidazoles,metronidazole,tinidazole and ornidazole,was investigated,and a method was developed for the simultaneous determination of these compounds,based on their reduction at a hanging mercury drop electrode（HMDE） in pH 8.95 buffer with differential pulse voltammetric（DPV） *** defined voltammetric waves with peak potentials of -692,-640 and -652 mV were observed for these compounds,*** is difficult to determine them individually from their mixtures without preseparation,for their voltammetric peaks overlapped seriously,so the chemometrics were used to resolve the overlapped voltammogram and quantify the *** proposed method was successfully applied to the determination of three 5-nitroimidazoles in milk and honey samples.

We investigated exact traveling soliton solutions for the nonlinear electrical transmission line. By applying a concise and straightforward method, the variable-coefficient discrete（G /G）-expansion method, we solve the nonlinear differential–difference equations associated with the network. We obtain some exact traveling wave solutions which include hyperbolic function solution, trigonometric function solution, rational solutions with arbitrary function, bright as well as dark solutions.

Sex development anomalies represent a group of congenital pathologies in which chromosomal, gonadal and anatomical sex differentiation is atypical. The aim of our study was to use molecular biology techniques to elucidate sex in cases of anomalies of sexual differentiation in Burkina Faso. This cross-sectional study took place from March 2023 to June 2023. Oral and blood samples were collected respectively using sterile swabs and stored on Swab Kits and NUCLEIcardTM (https://***/product-ranges/nucleic-card/) were used to determine gonosome profiles. Extraction was carried out using the DNA Swap solution Kit and the DNA IQ System Kit, and a PowerPlex? 21 kit (Promega) for amplification. The Applied Biosystems 9700 thermal cycler was used for PCR followed by 36 cm capillary electrophoresis in the Applied Biosystems 3130 prism sequencer. Sequence files were analyzed using GeneMapper IDX v. 3.2 software. Seven (07) patients were registered during the study period. There were 4 cases of XX DSD or 46, XX DSD and 3 cases of XY DSD or 46, XY DSD. The median age of our patients was 16 years. Civilian sex was male in 4 cases and female in 3. The most frequent reason for consultation was micropenis in 3 cases, followed by primary amenorrhea and sex ambiguity. There were 03 cases of discrepancy between genetic sex and civil sex. The accessibility of molecular diagnosis is little known to clinicians. XX DSDs or 46, XX DSDs were the most frequent (4/7) in our study. The problem facing this situation is early diagnosis to help prevent complications in Burkina Faso.

BACKGROUND:Myeloperoxidase(MPO)has been implicated in promoting tissue damage in various inflammatory ***,MPO blood levels in relation to the severity of acute pancreatitis(AP)and its time-course have not been *** present study aimed to determine the role of MPO in ***:We studied 86 patients with AP(48 patients with mild and 38 with severe pancreatitis)and 18 controls(volunteers).The relations of serum MPO levels to cytokine level,severity,and time-course of pancreatitis were *** serum level of MPO and cytokines were measured by MPO-EIA and cytokines ELISA,***:The highest level of MPO was noted at the first day in patients with severe AP.A decrease of MPO blood level occurred during the first three days in all patients with necrotizing *** development of pancreatitis-associated lung injury and purulent complications was accompanied by increased MPO *** of pentoxifylline significantly reduced the MPO blood level,which was clearly correlated with the levels of proinflammatory cytokines in the two groups of ***:The results of the present study showed the MPO blood level is dependent on the severity of AP and on cytokine blood *** in the complex management of severe AP may improve the results of treatment.

A reliable method for simultaneous determination of three antibiotic drugs（levofloxacin,gatifloxacin and lomefloxacin） by differential pulse stripping voltammetry（DPSV） in Britton-Robinson buffer（pH 7.96） was *** method is based on adsorptive accumulation of the antibacterial drugs on a hanging mercury dropping electrode（HMDE）,followed by the reduction of the adsorptive species by the technique of *** conditions,the deposition time of 80 s,the deposition potential of—1250 mV,and the scan rate of 25 mV/s,were *** linear concentration ranges of 0.010-0.080μg/mL were obtained for all these three antibiotic drugs,while the detection limits were 2.38,3.20 and 1.60ng/mL for levofloxacin,gatifloxacin and lomefloxacin,*** this work,chemometrics methods,such as classical least squares（CLS）,partial least squares（PLS）, principle component regression（PCR） and radial basis function-artificial neural networks（RBF-ANN）,were used to quantitatively resolve the overlapping *** was found that PCR gave the best results with total relative prediction error（RPE_T） of 7.71%.The proposed method was applied to determine these three drugs in several commercial food samples with spiked method and yielded satisfactory recoveries.

A method for determination of lactose in food samples by Osteryoung square wave voltammetry （OSWV） was developed. It was based on the nucleophilic addition reaction between lactose and aqua ammonia. The carbonyl group of lactose can be changed into imido group, and this increases the electrochemical activity in reduction and the sensitivity. The optimal condition for the nucleophilic addition reaction was investigated and it was found that in NH4C1-NH3 buffer of pH 10.1, the linear range between the peak current and the concentration of lactose was 0.6-8.4 mg L-l, and the detection limits was 0.44 mg L- 1. The proposed method was applied to the ＇determination of lactose in food samples and satisfactory results were obtained.

The role for serotonin(5-hydroxytryptamine, 5-HT)in controlling the pulmonary circulation was investigated following reports of an increased risk of primary pulmonary hypertension(PPH)in patients who used appetite suppressants that interact with 5-HT transport. In addition to its vasoactive effects, 5-HT exerts mitogenic and co-mitogenic effects on pulmonary artery smooth muscle cells(PA-SMCs), This effect is mediated through the serotonin transporter(5-HTT).
