Therapeutic effect of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells on cold stress induced changes in the hippocampus of rats

The present study aims to evaluate the effect of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells on cold stress induced neuronal changes in hippocampal CA1 region of Wistar rats. Bone marrow mes- enchymal stem cells were isolated from a 6-week-old Wistar rat. Bone marrow from adult femora and tibia was collected and mesenchymal stem cells were cultured in minimal essential medium containing 10% heat-inactivated fetal bovine serum and were sub-cultured. Passage 3 cells were analyzed by flow cytometry for positive expression of CD44 and CD90 and negative expression of CD45. Once CD44 and CD90 positive expression was achieved, the cells were cultured again to 90% confluence for later experiments. Twenty-four rats aged 8 weeks old were randomly and evenly divided into normal control, cold water swim stress （cold stress）, cold stress ＋ PBS （intra- venous infusion）, and cold stress ＋ bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells （1 x 106; intravenous infusion） groups. The total period of study was 60 days which included 1 month stress period followed by 1 month treatment. Behavioral functional test was performed during the entire study period. After treatment, rats were sacrificed for histological studies. Treatment with bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells significantly increased the number of neuronal cells in hippocampal CA 1 region. Adult bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells injected by intravenous administration show potential therapeutic effects in cognitive decline associated with stress-related lesions.

BLEND MEMBRANES FOR DIRECT METHANOL AND PROTON EXCHANGE MEMBRANE FUEL CELLS

Sulphonated polystyrene ethylene butylene polystyrene （SPSEBS） prepared with 35% sulphonation was found to be highly elastic and enlarged up to 300%-400% of its initial length. It absorbed over 110% of water by weight. A major drawback of this membrane is its poor mechanical properties which are not adequate for use as polymer electrolytes in fuel cells. To overcome this, SPSEBS was blended with poly（vinylidene fluoride）（PVDF）, a hydrophobic polymer. The blend membranes showed better mechanical properties than the base polymer. The effect of PVDF content on water uptake, ion exchange capacity and proton conductivity of the blend membranes was investigated. This paper presents the results of recent studies applied to develop an optimized in-house membrane electrode assembly （MEA） preparation technique combining catalyst ink spraying and assembly hot pressing. Easy steps were chosen in this preparation technique in order to simplify the method, aiming at cost reduction. The open circuit voltage for the cell with SPSEBS is 0.980 V which is higher compared to that of the cell with Nation 117 （0.790 V）. From this study, it is concluded that a polymer electrolyte membrane suitable for proton exchange membrane fuel cell （PEMFC） and direct methanol fuel cell （DMFC） application can be obtained by blending SPSEBS and PVDF in appropriate proportions. The methanol permeability and selectivity showed a strong influence on DMFC performance.

Document Clustering Using Graph Based Fuzzy Association Rule Generation

With the wider growth of web-based documents,the necessity of automatic document clustering and text summarization is ***,document summarization that is extracting the essential task with appropriate information,removal of unnecessary data and providing the data in a cohesive and coherent manner is determined to be a most confronting *** this research,a novel intelligent model for document clustering is designed with graph model and Fuzzy based association rule generation(gFAR).Initially,the graph model is used to map the relationship among the data(multi-source)followed by the establishment of document clustering with the generation of association rule using the fuzzy *** method shows benefit in redundancy elimination by mapping the relevant document using graph model and reduces the time consumption and improves the accuracy using the association rule generation with *** framework is provided in an interpretable way for document *** iteratively reduces the error rate during relationship mapping among the data(clusters)with the assistance of weighted document ***,this model represents the significance of data features with class *** is also helpful in measuring the significance of the features during the data clustering *** simulation is done with MATLAB 2016b environment and evaluated with the empirical standards like Relative Risk Patterns(RRP),ROUGE score,and Discrimination Information Measure(DMI)***,DailyMail and DUC 2004 dataset is used to extract the empirical *** proposed gFAR model gives better trade-off while compared with various prevailing approaches.

The ownership of motorised two wheelers(MTWs)has been on the rise across various countries across the *** growth has been especially higher in developing countries which have typical traffic characteristics and higher *** steady rise has resulted in increased accident and *** abrupt increase warranted attention from the researchers to carry out specific studies for MTWs,which have a very different behaviour as compared to cars in terms of physical and dynamic ***,the unique traffic patterns usually found in the developing countries pose an additional challenge to the researchers,since the conventional focus of transportation safety researchers was a homogeneous car-based *** such studies have been attempted,especially in the recent decades,which have considered various risk factors related to MTW ***,the studies have considered different sets of risk factors and have given surprising and even conflicting ***,a comprehensive review of the diverse studies needs to be carried out which incorporates all the risk factors considered in previous *** study reviews such research papers which have analysed various risk factors related to safety of MTWs,especially in heterogeneous,non-lane based ***,this paper aims to incorporate results from those studies and highlight the conclusions from state of the *** paper also discusses about the research gaps that are crucial for MTW safety in mixed traffic *** review will be useful for researchers working in the field of MTW safety and for policy implementation and analysis.

In vitro and in vivo anticancer activity of Indigofera cassioides ***. DC.

Objective:To evaluate the antitumor,cytotoxic and antioxidant activities of methanolic leaf extract of Indigofera cassioides(MEIC) against transplantable tumors and human cancer cell ***:MEIC was investigated for its short term cytotoxicity on EAC and DLA cells by trypan blue dye exclusion method and in vitro cytotoxicity on HeLa,HEp-2,HEpG-2,MCF-7, HT-29,Vero and NIH 3T3 cells by MTT *** vivo antitumor activity was studied on EAC and DLA tumor bearing *** was assessed by monitoring the mean survival time,effect on hematological parameters,antioxidant enzyme levels and solid tumor ***:MEIC exhibit potent in vitro cytotoxicity against all the tested cancer cell lines,but it was found to be safe on normal *** extract significantly(P<0.001) increase the mean survival time and also have a protective effect on the hemopoietic system at the tested dose levels(200 and 400 mg/kg). The extract prevented lipid peroxidation and restored the antioxidant enzymes catalase, superoxide dismutase,glutathione peroxidase and glutathione-s-transferase in the liver of tumor control *** also significandy(P<0.01) reduce the solid tumor ***:The results strongly support that MEIC shows potent antitumor and cytotoxic effects against EAC,DLA and human cancer cell *** extract prevents lipid peroxidation and promotes the enzymatic antioxidant defense system in tumor bearing animals which might be due to activities like scavenging of free radicals by the phytochemicals in MEIC.

Cost Optimized Switching of Routing Protocol Scheme for IoT Applications

Detection and defending the XSS attack using novel hybrid stacking ensemble learning-based DNN approach

Existing web-based security applications have failed in many situations due to the great intelligence of *** web applications,Cross-Site Scripting(XSS)is one of the dangerous assaults experienced while modifying an organization's or user's *** avoid these security challenges,this article proposes a novel,all-encompassing combination of machine learning(NB,SVM,k-NN)and deep learning(RNN,CNN,LSTM)frameworks for detecting and defending against XSS attacks with high accuracy and *** on the representation,a novel idea for merging stacking ensemble with web applications,termed“hybrid stacking”,is *** order to implement the aforementioned methods,four distinct datasets,each of which contains both safe and unsafe content,are *** hybrid detection method can adaptively identify the attacks from the URL,and the defense mechanism inherits the advantages of URL encoding with dictionary-based mapping to improve prediction accuracy,accelerate the training process,and effectively remove the unsafe JScript/JavaScript keywords from the *** simulation results show that the proposed hybrid model is more efficient than the existing detection *** produces more than 99.5%accurate XSS attack classification results(accuracy,precision,recall,f1_score,and Receiver Operating Characteristic(ROC))and is highly resistant to XSS *** order to ensure the security of the server's information,the proposed hybrid approach is demonstrated in a real-time environment.

EECDH to prevent MITM attack in cloud computing

Cloud computing has reached the peak of Gartner hype cycle,and now the focus of the whole telecom industry is the ability to scale data storage with minimal *** data privacy and communication issues will occur with the increment of the cloud data *** key privacy concern for scalability is caused by the dynamic membership allocation and multi-owner data *** paper addresses the issues faced by multiple owners through a mutual authentication mechanism using the Enhanced Elliptic Curve Diffie-Hellman(EECDH)key exchange protocol along with the Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm(ECDSA).The proposed EECDH scheme is used to exchange the secured shared key among multiple owners and also to eliminate the Man-In-The-Middle(MITM)attacks with less computational *** leveraging these algorithms,the integrity of data sharing among multiple owners is *** EECDH improves the level of security only slightly increasing the time taken to encrypt and decrypt the data,and it is secured against the MITM attacks,which is experimented using the AVISPA tool.

Role of phenolics as antioxidants,biomolecule protectors and as anti-diabetic factors-Evaluation on bark and empty pods of Acacia auriculiformis

Objective:To search for an efficient and inexpensive source of phytoconstituents with antioxidant potential and health promoting traits from bark and empty pods of Acacia auriculiformis （***）.Methods:Samples of bark and empty pod extracts were analyzed for bioactives（phenolics,flavonoids and proanthocyanidins） and subjected to free radical scavenging activity on DPPH*,ABTS?,OH?,O2*,and NO along with the determination of reducing power, iron chelating activity and peroxidation *** action of extracts on biomolecules and cell membranes were evaluated by DNA nicking assay and haemolysis inhibition assay respectively,α-amylase andα-glucosidase inhibitory potentials were also determined. Results:All the bioactives analyzed were higher in bark（B） than empty pods（EP）[TPC:B （574.51±16.11）;EP（96.80±3.45） mg GAE/***:B（94.71±7.65）;EP（24（?）87±20.45） mg RE/g.
