Food waste is recognized as a valuable source for potential agricultural applications to supply organic matter and nutrients to arable ***,the information on the combined application of food waste and the plant growth-promoting bacterial strain,Chlorella,related to plant metabolic features and sodium chloride content in arable soil is *** present study was conducted to investigate the exogenous application of food waste along with Chlorella,which improved the physio-morphological features of red *** results revealed that this combination enhanced the organic matter in the soil,ultimately improving the fertility rate of the soil,and the physio-morphological features,such as chlorophyll a content(24.5±0.7),root(7.8±0.7)cm and shoot length(12.1±0.7)cm,fresh weight(2.1±0.05)g,dry weight(0.19±0.05)g,mineral contents,and hormonal concentration(ABA by up to 2 folds).The combined treatment also minimized free radicals via the activation of the intrinsic antioxidant series cascade and electrolyte *** findings showed that adding Chlorella and food wastes improved growth characteristics and can be used as a green bio-fertilizer for sustainable agriculture.

We studied the effects of hardwood-derived biochar（BC） and the phytohormone-producing endophyte Galactomyces geotrichum WLL1 in soybean（Glycine max（L.） Merr.） with respect to basic, macro- and micronutrient uptakes and assimilations, and their subsequent effects on the regulation of functional amino acids, isoflavones, fatty acid composition, total sugar contents, total phenolic contents, and 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl（DPPH）-scavenging activity. The assimilation of basic nutrients such as nitrogen was up-regulated, leaving carbon, oxygen, and hydrogen unaffected in BC＋G. geotrichum-treated soybean plants. In comparison, the uptakes of macro- and micronutrients fluctuated in the individual or co-application of BC and G. geotrichum in soybean plant organs and rhizospheric substrate. moreover, the same attribute was recorded for the regulation of functional amino acids, isoflavones, fatty acid composition, total sugar contents, total phenolic contents, and DPPH-scavenging activity. Collectively, these results showed that BC＋G. geotrichum-treated soybean yielded better results than did the plants treated with individual applications. It was concluded that BC is an additional nutriment source and that the G. geotrichum acts as a plant biostimulating source and the effects of both are additive towards plant growth promotion. Strategies involving the incorporation of BC and endophytic symbiosis may help achieve eco-friendly agricultural production, thus reducing the excessive use of chemical agents.

The prevalence of obesity has increased and is a health concern *** to the concerns regarding synthetic anti-obesity treatments,nowadays natural products become a *** studies proved that there is a potential to use marine algae as anti-obesity ***,in this study,the lipid inhibitory effect of crude polysaccharide of amyloglucosidase-assisted hydrolysate from Sargassum thunbergii(STAC)and its fucoidan fractions(STAFs)on 3T3-L1 cells and high-fat diet(HFD)-induced obese mice were *** to the results,the STAF3,showed the highest xylose content and exhibited significant inhibitory effects on lipid accumulation by downregulating adipogenic and lipogenic proteins in 3T3-L1 ***,oral supplementation with STAC significantly declined gain in body weight and fat weight,and serum lipid contents in an HFD-induced obesity mouse *** and chemical characterizations demonstrated that puritied STAF3 has consistent surface morphology and small particle size,with similar structural characteristics as commercial ***,these results indicate that STAC and purified STAF3 from Sargassum thunbergia is a potent source to develop as ananti-obesity agents or functional food products to counter obesity.

A triplicate field experiment laid out in randomized complete block design was conducted to evaluate different humic acid (HA) application methods at Agricultural Research Farm, of KPK Agricultural University, Peshawar. Three methods of HA application: seed priming, foliar spray and soil application were included in the experiment. Humic acid application methods significantly affected pods plant-1, grains pod-1, 1000 grain weights, and grain yield whereas biological yield was not significantly affected by HA application methods. Humic acid application at the rate of 3 kg·ha-1 resulted in higher number of pods plant-1, thousand grain weights and grain yield, however it was statistically similar to the treatments where HA was soil applied at rate of 1 and 2 kg·ha-1, seed priming with 0% (water soaked), 1%, 2% HA solution and foliar spray with 0.01%, 0.05% and 0.1% of HA solution. It is concluded that HA application in all the three methods significantly enhances grain yield and yield components of mungbean.

The multiple metal catalyst as a promising nanomaterial has shown excellent activity in the peroxymonosulfate(PMS)activation for pollutant ***,the role of special sites and in-depth understanding of the PMS activation mechanism are not fully *** this study,a Cu-doped CoFe_(2)O_(4)nanocatalyst(0.5CCF)was synthesized by a sol-gel and calcination method,and used for PMS activation to remove Rhodamine B(RhB).The results showed that the Cu doping obviously enhanced the catalytic performance of CoFe_(2)O_(4),with 99.70%of RhB removed by 0.5CCF while 74.91%in the CoFe_(2)O_(4)within 15 *** on the X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and electrochemical analysis,this could be ascribed to the more low valence of Co and Fe species generated on the 0.5CCF and faster electron transfers occurred in the 0.5CCF due to the Cu *** addition,Cu doping could provide more reaction sites for the 0.5CCF to activate PMS for RhB *** metal species and the surface hydroxyl were the reaction sites of PMS activation,and the surface hydroxyl played an important role in surface-bound reactive species *** the PMS activation,the Cu not only activated PMS to produce reactive oxygen species(ROS),but also regenerated Co^(2+)and Fe^(2+)to accelerate the PMS *** non-radical of ^(1)O_(2)was the main ROS with a 99.35%of contribution rate,and the SO_(5)^(·–)self-reaction was its major *** study provides a new insight to enhance the PMS activation performance of multiple metal catalysts by Cu doping in wastewater treatment.
