Due to over-abundant information on the Web, information filtering becomes a key task for online users to obtain relevant suggestions and how to extract the most related item is always a key topic for researchers in various fields. In this paper, we adopt tools used to analyze complex networks to evaluate user reputation and item quality. In our proposed Accumulative Time Based Ranking (ATR) algorithm, we take into account the growth record of the network to identify the evolution of the reputation of users and the quality of items, by incorporating two behavior weighting factors which can capture the hidden facts on reputation and quality dynamics for each user and item respectively. Our proposed ATR algorithm mainly combines the iterative approach to rank user reputation and item quality with temporal dependence compared with other reputation evaluation methods. We show that our algorithm outperforms other benchmark ranking algorithms in terms of precision and robustness on empirical datasets from various online retailers and the citation datasets among research publications. Therefore, our proposed method has the capability to effectively evaluate user reputation and item quality.

Influence of FeO and sulfur on solid state reaction between MnO-SiO_2-FeO oxides and an Fe-Mn-Si solid alloy during heat treatment at 1473 K

To clarify the influence of Fe O and sulfur on solid state reaction between an Fe-Mn-Si alloy and Mn O-Si O2-Fe O oxides under the restricted oxygen diffusion flux, two diffusion couples with different sulfur contents in the oxides were produced and investigated after heat treatment at 1473 K. The experimental results were also compared with previous work in which the oxides contained higher Fe O. It was found that although the Fe O content in the oxides decreased from 3wt% to 1wt% which was lower than the content corresponding to the equilibrium with molten steel at 1873 K, excess oxygen still diffused from the oxides to solid steel during heat treatment at 1473 K and formed oxide particles. In addition, increasing the sulfur content in the oxides was observed to suppress the diffusion of oxygen between the alloy and the oxides.

Wind tunnel experiment and steady-state Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes(RANS)approaches are used to examine the urban boundary layer(UBL)development above Kowloon Peninsula,hong Kong Special Administrative Region(HKSAR).The detailed urban morphology is resolved by computational fluid dynamics(CFD)and is fabricated by 3D-printing(reduced scale)for wind tunnel *** from the majority existing results based on idealized,homogeneous urban geometries,it was found that the wind and turbulence in the UBL over downtown Kowloon are characterized by the wake behind several high-rise *** particular,local maxima of turbulence kinetic energy(TKE)and shear stress are found at the roof level of those high-rise *** the downstream region where the flows are already adjusted to the urban surfaces,the urban roughness sublayer(URSL)can be further divided into two layers based on the structures of the mixing length/m,effective drag Dx and dispersive *** the lower URSL(z<100 m),lm is rather uniform,and the Reynolds stress and dispersive stress are *** the upper URSL(100 m z s 300 m),on the contrary,lm is peaked at the mid-height and the magnitude of dispersive stress is smaller than that of the Reynolds stress(<30%).The effective drag Dx is negligible in the upper URSL.

American ginseng supplementation attenuates creatine kinase level induced by submaximal exercise in human beings

AIM: To investigate whether American ginseng (AG, Panax quinquefolium) supplementation was able to improve endurance exercise ***: Thirteen physically active male college students were divided into two groups (AG or placebo)and received supplementation for 4 wk, before the exhaustive running exercise. Treadmill speed was increased to a pace equivalent to 80% VO2max of the subject. A 4-wk washout period followed before the subjects crossed over and received the alternate supplement for the next 4 *** then completed a second exhaustive running exercise. The physiological variables that were examined included time to exhaustion and oxygen pulse. Moreover,the plasma creatine kinase (CK) and lactate were measured prior to the exercise, at 15 and 30 min during exercise,immediately after exercise, and 20, 40, 60, and 120 min after ***: The major finding of this investigation was that the production plasma CK during the exercise significantly decreased for group AG than for group P. Secondary physiological finding was that 80% VO2max running was not improved over a 4-wk AG supplementation ***: Supplementation with AG for 4 wk prior to an exhaustive aerobic treadmill running reduced the leakage of CK during exercise, but did not enhance aerobic work capacity. The reduction of plasma CK may be due to the fact that AG is effective for the decrease of skeletal muscle cell membrane damage, induced by exercise during the high-intensity treadmill run.

how can colorectal neoplasms be treated during colonoscopy?

AIM: For many physicians who ordinarily treat patients with colonic diseases, colonoscopy is considered a prime study interest. Developments in colonoscopic equipment and methods have led to a large number of endoscopic diagnoses and treatment for colorectal neoplasms. The purpose of this investigation is to evaluate the efficacy and outcomes of endoscopic treatment for colorectal neoplastic ***: From September 1999 to May 2003, 11 447 consecutive colonoscopic examinations in 9 864 patients were gathered; totaling 5 502 endoscopic treatments for colorectal neoplasms. Macroscopic characteristics of the neoplasms were classified into protruded (n = 3 953), sessile (n = 1 402), lateral spreading tumor (n = 139) and depressed lesions (n = 8). Snare polypectomy was conducted in 3 984 lesions, hot forcep removal in 1 368 lesions, and endoscopic mucosal resection in 150 ***: Histological diagnoses were 4 596 neoplastic lesions (4 376 adenomas and 220 adenocarcinomas) and 906 non-neoplastic lesions (891 hyperplastic and 15 inflammatory polyps). For the adenocarcinoma group, 31 instances involved submucosal invasion or resection margin, who received further operations, while 13 surgical specimens discovered no residual tumors. Three perforations and 96 bleedings were found following endoscopic treatment. No procedure-related mortality was found and no recurrent malignancy was found after 1456 mo ***: To lower the incidence and mortality of colorectal cancer, endoscopic treatment for colorectalneoplasms is a simple and safe procedure.

AIM To investigate the clinicopathological significance of progesterone receptor membrane component 1(PGRMC1) and PGRMC2 in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC). METhoDS We performed immunohistochemical staining to evaluate the estrogen receptor(ER), progesterone receptor(PR), PGRMC1, and PGRMC2 in a clinical cohort consisting of 89 paired HCC and non-tumor liver samples. We also analyzed HCC data(n = 373) from The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA). We correlated the expression status of PGRMC1 and PGRMC2 with clinicopathological indicators and the clinical outcomes of the HCC patients. We knocked down or overexpressed PGRMC1 in HCC cell lines to evaluate its biological significance in HCC cell proliferation, differentiation, migration, and invasion. RESULTS We found that few HCC cases expressed ER(5.6%) and PR(4.5%). In contrast, most HCC cases expressed PGRMC1(89.9%) and PGRMC2(100%). PGRMC1 and PGRMC2 exhibited significantly lower expression in tumor tissue than in non-tumor tissue(P hort(P hormonal receptor that negatively regulates hepatocarcinogenesis. PGRMC1 down-regulation is associated with progression of HCC and is a poor prognostic indicator.

二叠纪是华南地区重要的锰富集成矿期。本文以贵州省西部水城区立火锰矿含锰岩系为研究对象,分析影响贵州二叠纪成锰作用的岩相古地理,讨论锰质来源及成因、沉积环境及锰沉淀方式。采用光学显微镜、XRF、XRD和ICP-MS对水城立火锰矿含锰岩系、顶板及底板进行矿物组成、主量、微量及稀土元素分析测试。结果表明,该矿床含锰岩系形成于伸展拉张的台地内部裂陷盆地,锰矿石中见重晶石、石膏、天青石、菱锰矿及菱铁矿等热水沉积矿物,发育热水沉积典型纹层状构造及火山活动长石斑晶硅质交代结构,富含Fe、Mn、Co、Ni、V、Mo等热水沉积元素,具有显著Ce/Ce^(*)负异常稀土配分模式。Mn/Fe、SiO_(2)/Al_(2)O_(3)、Al_(2)O_(3)/TiO_(2)、Co/Ni、Co/Zn、Y/ho比值及Fe-Mn-(Cu+Co+Ni)×10、Co-Ni-Zn、Co/Zn vs.(Cu+Co+Ni)、LogU/LogTh及Fe/Ti ***/(Al+Fe+Mn)地球化学图解显示水城立火锰矿是热水沉积成因;V/Cr、V/(V+Ni)及Ce_(anom)特征值指示该锰矿床形成于氧化-弱氧化-弱还原海相沉积环境。综合地质、地球化学特征,该矿床锰成矿作用经历了铁锰氧化物(氢氧化物)初始沉淀及铁锰氧化物(氢氧化物)相转化为菱锰矿相的地质演化过程。

目的探讨乌司他丁减轻新生大鼠脓毒症肺损伤的分子作用机制。方法选取脓毒症诱导肺损伤患儿(脓毒症肺损伤组)及同期出生的健康新生儿(对照组)作为研究对象,采集各组新生儿静脉血备用。将新生SD大鼠随机分为空白对照组(给予等量的0.9%NaCl)、模型组(4 mg·kg^(-1)脂多糖)、乌司他丁组(4 mg·kg^(-1)脂多糖+5×10^(4)U·kg^(-1)乌司他丁),每组12只,在注射24 h内观察大鼠存活情况,24 h后心脏采血后收集肺组织。用实时荧光定量聚合酶链反应法检测血清和肺组织长链非编码RNA(Lnc)CRNDE和miR-29a的表达水平,用酶联免疫吸附试验法检测白细胞介素6(IL-6)水平,用试剂盒法检测活性氧(ROS)水平,用蛋白质印迹法检测血红素氧合酶1(ho-1)的表达水平,用原位荧光杂交实验检测CRNDE和miR-29a的表达水平。结果对照组和脓毒症肺损伤组患儿血清CRNDE相对表达水平分别为1.00±0.16和0.41±0.09,miR-29a相对表达水平分别为1.00±0.14和1.83±0.25,IL-6表达水平分别为(4.13±0.86)和(12.61±2.57)ng·mL^(-1),脓毒症肺损伤组的上述指标与对照组比较,在统计学上差异均有统计学意义(均Pho-1蛋白相对表达水平分别为1.00±0.17、2.19±0.31和1.17±0.16,IL-6水平分别为(46.15±7.62)、(186.77±21.30)和(113.46±14.68)pg·mL^(-1),CRNDE相对表达水平分别为1.00±0.12、0.41±0.06和0.82±0.13,miR-29a相对表达水平分别为1.00±0.14、2.38±0.21和1.62±0.19。空白对照组的上述指标与模型组比较,乌司他丁组的上述指标与模型组比较,在统计学上差异均有统计学意义(均P<0.05)。结论乌司他丁可能通过CRNDE/miR-29a信号通路缓解新生儿脓毒症肺损伤。

Metabolomic alterations and chromosomal instability status in gastric cancer

AIM To explore the correlation of metabolomics profiles ofgastric cancer(GC) with its chromosomal instability(CIN) *** Nineteen GC patients were classified as CIN and nonCIN type by The Cancer Genome Atlas Research Group system, based on 409 oncogenes and tumor suppressor genes sequenced. The aqueous metabolites of the GC tumor and its surrounding adjacent healthy tissues were identified through liquid chromatographymass spectrometry. Groups were compared by defining variable importance in projection score of > 1.2, a fold change value or its reciprocal of > 1.2, and a P value of hose in the non-CIN GC(32-218 vs 2-17; P hosphate-Nacetylglucosamine levels, but significantly lower butyrylcarnitine, glutathione hydroxyhexanoycarnitine, inosinic acid, isovalerylcarnitine, and threonine levels(all P hosphocholine and uridine 5'-monophosphate levels but significantly lower beta-citryl-L-glutamic acid levels than did non-CIN tumors(all P < 0.05). CIN GC tumors demonstrated additional altered pathways involving alanine, aspartate, and glutamate metabolism, glyoxylate and dicarboxylate metabolism, histidine metabolism, and phenylalanine, tyrosine, and tryptophan *** Metabolomic profiles of GC tumors and the adjacent healthy tissue are distinct, and the CIN status is associated with downstream metabolic alterations in GC.
