The Pushtashan juvenile suprasubduction zone assemblage of Kurdistan (northeastern Iraq): A Cretaceous (Cenomanian) Neo-Tethys missing link

The Pushtashan suprasubduction zone assemblage of volcanic rocks, gabbros, norites and peridotites occurs in the Zagros suture zone, Kurdistan region, northeastern Iraq. Volcanic rocks are dominant in the assemblage and consist mainly of basalt and basaltic andesite flows with interlayered red shale and limestone horizons. Earlier lavas tend to be MORB-like, whereas later lavas display island arc tholeiite to boninitic geochemical characteristics. Tholeiitic gabbros intrude the norites and display fractionation trends typical of crystallisation under low-pressure conditions, whereas the norites display calc-alkaline traits, suggesting their source included mantle metasomatised by fluids released from subducted oceanic crust. Enrichment of Rb, Ba, Sr, Th and the presence of negative Nb anomalies indicate generation in a suprasubduction zone setting. Trondhjemite and granodiorite intrusions are present in the volcanic rocks, gabbros and norites. SHRIMP U-Pb dating of magmatic zircons from a granodiorite yields a mean^(206)Pb/^(238)U age of 96.0 ±2.0 Ma(Cenomanian). The initial ε_(Hf) value for the zircons show a narrow range from +12.8 to+15.6, with a weighted mean of + 13.90±0.96. This initial value is within error of model depleted mantle at 96 Ma or slightly below that, in the field of arc rocks with minimal contamination by older continental crust. The compositional bimodality of the Pushtashan suprasubduction sequence suggests seafloor spreading during the initiation of subduction, with a lava stratigraphy from earlyerupted MORB transitioning into calc-alkaline lavas and finally by 96 Ma intrusion of granodioritic and trondhjemitic bodies with juvenile crustal isotopic signatures. The results confirm another Cretaceous arc remnant preserved as an allochthon within the Iraqi segment of the Cenozoic Zagros suture zone. Implications for the closure of Neo-Tethys are discussed.

Non-equilibrium solidification structures of Cu55Ni45 and Cu55Ni43Co2 alloys were prepared by the molten glass purification cycle superheating *** variation of the recalescence phenomenon with the degree of undercooling in the rapid solidification process was investigated using an infrared *** addition of the Co element affected the evolution of the recalescence phenomenon in Cu-Ni *** images of the solid-liquid interface migration during the rapid solidification of supercooled melts were captured by using a high-speed *** solidification rate of Cu-Ni alloys,with the addition of Co elements,was ***,the grain refinement structure with low supercooling was characterised using electron backscatter diffraction(EBSD).The effect of Co on the microstructural evolution during nonequilibrium solidification of Cu-Ni alloys under conditions of small supercooling is investigated by comparing the microstructures of Cu55Ni45 and Cu55Ni43Co2 *** experimental results show that the addition of a small amount of Co weakens the recalescence behaviour of the Cu55Ni45 alloy and significantly reduces the thermal strain in the rapid solidification *** the rapid solidification phase,the thermal strain is greatly reduced,and there is a significant increase in the characteristic undercooling ***,the addition of Co and the reduction of Cu not only result in a lower solidification rate of the alloy,but also contribute to the homogenisation of the grain size.

A Preliminary Assessment of Load Consumption and Solar Power Potential at Kota Belud,sabah

This paper presents a detailed preliminary assessment of load consumption and solar power potential at the Eco-Tourism Centre of Liogu Ku Silou-Silou(EPLISSI),Kota Belud,*** initial investigation assessed the feasibility of an off-grid solar PV system at EPLISSI with a suitable solar panel system for project installation and commissioning *** to the absence of an electrical grid and power supply,no pre-existing electrical appliances could be found in ***,an excel-based software,the ESCoBox,was used to produce the load *** input data for this software came from a list of required electrical appliances(LED lights,fans,and phone chargers)and the historical frequency of visitors to ***,to assess the solar power potential at EPLISSI,an online simulator known as Global Solar Atlas version 2.3 or GSA 2.3 was *** an input for the GSA 2.3,the initial solar panel system capacity was set for 0.5 kWp,and then an increment of 0.1 kWp was entered until specific criteria were *** selection of the suitable size is made when the system can satisfy the daily total average load demand and a specific load fulfillment *** a result,it was found that the site requires a total average demand and a total peak demand of 4.60 and 11.87 kWh/day,*** the GSA 2.3 generated report,an off-grid solar PV system with the capacity of 2.50 kWp solar PV can satisfy the daily total average load demand of this area,where the average PV energy output is within the range of between 7.74–9.80 kWh/day or an average of 8.72 kWh/*** conclusion,this preliminary assessment indicates that installing an off-grid solar PV system in this area is possible.

Activated pancreatic stellate cells(PSCs)have been widely accepted as a key precursor of excessive pancreatic fibrosis,which is a crucial hallmark of chronic pancreatitis(CP)and its formidable associated disease,pancreatic cancer(PC).Hence,anti-fibrotic therapy has been identified as a novel therapeutic strategy for treating CP and PC by targeting *** of the anti-fibrotic agents have been limited to phaseⅠ/Ⅱclinical trials involving vitamin analogs,which are abundant in medicinal plants and have proved to be promising for clinical *** use of phytomedicines,as new anti-fibrotic agents,has been applied to a variety of complementary and alternative *** aim of this review was to present a focused update on the selective new potential anti-fibrotic agents,including curcumin,resveratrol,rhein,emodin,green tea catechin derivatives,metformin,eruberin A,and ellagic acid,in combating PSC in CP and PC *** aimed to describe the mechanism(s)of the phytochemicals used,either alone or in combination,and the associated molecular *** of them were tested in PC models with similar mechanism of actions,and curcumin was tested *** research may explore the issues of bioavailability,drug design,and nano-formulation,in order to achieve successful clinical outcomes with promising activity and tolerability.

Mixed P3HT/PCBM Organic Thin-Film Transistors： Relation between Morphology and Electrical Characteristics

The mixed P3HT （poly（3-hexylthiophene）） and [6,6]-PCBM （phenyl C61-butyric acid methyl ester） organic thin films were investigated for electronic structure using UV-Vis spectrophotometer and PESA （photo-electron spectroscopy in air）. Furthermore, ESR （electron spin resonance） and AFM （atomic force microscopy） were used to investigate the surface morphology and molecular orientation, respectively. ESR analysis indicated the molecular orientation of the P3HT crystalline in the blend thin films, which the crystalline oriented normal to the substrate with distribution of 35°. AFM images indicated that the surface morphology of P3HT film was affected by the presence of PCBM nanoparticles. Solution-processed OTFTs （organic thin-film transistors） based on P3HT/PCBM blend thin film in a top source-drain contact structure was fabricated, and the electrical characteristics of the devices were also investigated. A unipolar property with p-channel characteristics were obtained in glove box measurement.

旋转防喷器(RBOP)是欠平衡钻井中必不可少的安全保障设备,其中胶芯是旋转防喷器(RBOP)的关键部件和密封单元,其密封性能决定了旋转防喷器(RBOP)的密封能力。研究了旋转防喷器胶芯的工作机理及故障,依据国家标准和专利建立了胶芯的三维模型。通过分析研究,选择了适合胶芯材料的本构模型Yeoh模型,通过橡胶材料的单轴拉伸试验所获得的实验数据,使用ABAQUS软件拟合出本构模型的待定系数;在ABAQUS软件中建立钻杆与胶芯接触的三维力学模型,研究计算在不同井压下,钻杆与胶芯之间的接触压力大小和变形情况,得到了不同井口压力下,胶芯密封压力的变化规律——当井口压力逐渐增加时,胶芯内锥面开始发生变形,变形随压力的增加而增大,同时,内锥面和主密封面接触发生应力集中的现象;分析了井口压力为0时,钻杆接头通过胶芯内孔时,胶芯接触压力情况,得到了接触压力在胶芯内锥面各个节点的变化规律,为胶芯的失效分析和设计制造提供了理论依据。

针对国外生产的一款旋转防喷器,使用三维造型软件中望3D建立该型号旋转防喷器的三维实体模型;将底座外壳体三维实体模型导入ANSYS软件中,通过有限元分析,求解出了外壳体的应力强度分布情况,设定两条路径分别进行等效线性化,获得了两条路径上的一次整体薄膜应力、一次局部薄膜应力、一次弯曲应力、二次应力和峰值应力,校核了旋转防喷器底座外壳体的强度;通过ANSYS WorkBench仿真平台对底座外壳体进行了优化设计,获得了底座外壳体的优化参数。

Vaccination is crucial in controlling the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)that triggered the pandemic,but herd immunity can only work with high vaccination coverage in the *** study aims to measure the COVID-19 knowledge level and determine the factors influencing COVID-19 vaccination intention among university students in Malaysia.A cross-sectional online survey was carried out with 1,274 Malaysian university students in July *** and multivariate analyses were employed to examine the relationships between the study *** showed that the majority of university students had an acceptable level of knowledge of *** knowledge,risk perception of COVID-19,social norms,and perceived benefit of COVID-19 vaccination were positively associated with vaccination ***,perceived trust in information sources of COVID-19 vaccination and the government's response to COVID-19 did not affect the university students’desire to receive the *** findings are essential for health policymakers and healthcare providers to implement evidence-based interventions to increase COVID-19 vaccination uptake among university students.

A Comparative Analysis on Surgical Outcomes and Complications of Endoscopic and Open Vein Harvesting Techniques

Objective: The great saphenous vein (GSV) is commonly used as a conduit for grafting during CABG surgery, and open GSV harvesting (OVH), commonly used with long incision to expose the vein. However, endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH) is an alternative approach, utilizing specialized instruments and small incisions to harvest the vein. Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on a cohort of patients who underwent Coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) requiring great saphenous vein (GSV) harvesting which was done by EVH or OVH procedures. Demographic variables, including age and gender, were assessed for both groups. Intraoperative variables such as the number of grafts, cardiopulmonary bypass time, X clamp time, and type of procedure were analyzed. Postoperative variables, including infection and bleeding rates, were also evaluated. Results: The study included 30 patients each undergoing Coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) with need of great saphenous vein harvesting which was done by EVH and OVH. Demographic variables were well-matched between the two groups in terms of age, while a significant difference in gender distribution was observed. Obesity and smoking were more prevalent in the OVH group, and EVH was associated with a higher mean number of grafts compared to OVH. Conversion to an open technique occurred in a portion of the EVH cases, and infection rates did not significantly differ between the EVH and OVH groups. However, the incidence of postoperative bleeding was significantly higher in the EVH group. Conclusion: This study provides valuable insights into the demographic, intraoperative, and postoperative variables associated with EVH and OVH techniques. EVH demonstrated advantages in terms of reduced infection rates compared to OVH. However, the higher incidence of postoperative bleeding associated with EVH raises concerns about potential risks.
