Highly conductive,stretchable,durable,skin-conformal dry electrodes based on thermoplastic elastomer-embedded 3D porous graphene for multifunctional wearable bioelectronics

Long-term bioelectric potential recording requires highly reliable wearable dry electrodes.Laser-induced graphene(LIG)dry electrodes on polyimide(PI)films are difficult to conform to the skin due to the non-stretchability and low flexibility of PI films.As a result,high interface impedance and motion artifacts can occur during body movements.Transferring LIG to flexible substrates such as polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS)and Ecoflex allows for stretchability and flexibility.However,the transfer process produces a significant loss of conductivity destroying the structural function and electron conduction properties of the LIG.We found robust physical and chemical bonding effects between LIG and styrene-ethylene-butylene-styrene(SEBS)thermoplastic elastomer substrates and proposed a simple and robust low-conductivity loss transfer technique.Successfully embedded LIG onto SEBS to obtain high stretchability,high flexibility,low conductivity losses.Electrophoretic deposition(EPD)of poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):polystyrenesulfonic acid(PEDOT:PSS)on LIG forms an ultrathin polymer conductive coating.The deposition thickness of the conductive polymer is adjusted by controlling the EPD deposition time to achieve optimal conductivity and chemical stability.SEBS/LIG/PEDOT:PSS(SLPP)dry electrodes have high conductivity(114Ω/Sq),stretchability(300%)and reliability(30%stretch,15,000 cycles),low electrode-skin impedance(14.39 kΩ,10 Hz).The detected biopotential signal has a high signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)of 35.78 dB.Finally,the feasibility of SLPP dry electrodes for long-term biopotential monitoring and biopotential-based human-machine interface control of household appliances was verified.

Improving organizational performance can be achieved through business process redesign (BPR). When it comes to modern work practices, organizations must often redesign their processes to keep up. This is where enterprise software comes in, offering a common data infrastructure that enables different parts of the organization to access all necessary financial data. The architecture of network accounting business process is divided into three layers. The core layer lies in the enterprise LAN that it can integrate six business processes information into one unity of financial information and non-financial information, including purchasing, inventory, production, sales, finance and customer service, and it can generate flexibly a variety of accounting statements to meet fully the information users’ demands by providing more complete and more valuable related information. The second layer lies in Intranet among enterprises based on the core layer that it can support the link of business processes and the inter-sharing of information among node enterprises of SCM and other external enterprises. The third layer lies in Internet based on the second layer that it can fit society, enterprise and individual together, the specific lays the solid foundation of business collaboration, remote management, online management and centralized management. The operating mechanisms of the network accounting business processes are as follows. When the business event occurs, the probe can get the event information in real-time and the result is stored in the database. Meanwhile, the drive controller can control the business events in real-time by gaining control criteria and standards from database. In case the standard is exceeded, the event is not allowed to occur. Enterprise’ business staff or external personnel can output automatically the required results through report tools if they had the reading authority. Stature estimation from footprint measurements in Bangladeshi adults

The estimation of stature is very important in forensic investigation,as it provides useful data that can narrow the pool of potentially matching identities.The purpose of this study was to develop formulae for the estimation of stature from footprint measurements in Bangladeshi adults.This study included 118 randomly selected men and 130 randomly selected women,all aged 18–50 years.From each participant,stature and six footprint measurements were taken by means of standard measurement techniques.Footprint measurements were found to be positively correlated with stature.Stature was estimated by using linear regression equations.The right T1 length in men(R:þ0.587,R^(2):0.345)and the right T2 length in women(R:þ0.506,R^(2):0.256)were the most reliable individual estimators of stature.However,when data were combined for both sexes,the right T2 length was identified as the most reliable estimator of stature,with higher values of R(þ0.792)and R^(2)(0.627).In conclusion,human stature can be successfully estimated by using footprint measurements;this finding can be applied in forensic research and investigation.

Groundwater arsenic poisoning in a primary educational institution:health risks to school-going children

This study aimed to estimate arsenic(As)and iron(Fe)content in tubewell water(n=58)in primary educational institutions and subsequently assess the health risks to school-going children.Results described that the As concentration ranged between 0.002 and 0.994 mg L^(-1)with an average value of 0.044 mg L^(-1);which exceeded the World Health Organization(WHO)provisional guideline value of 0.01 mg L^(-1).Similarly,the Fe content varied from 0.05 to 10 mg L^(-1)averaging to 2.84 mg L^(-1).Samples of 55.17%contained a greater As concentration than0.01 mg L^(-1)and 18.97%greater than Bangladesh drinking water quality(BDWQ)standard of 0.05 mg L^(-1),respectively.Meanwhile,75.86%of samples contained a higher Fe concentration than the maximum Bangladesh permissible limit of 1 mg L^(-1).Health risk assessment indicated that girls are more vulnerable than boys are.The average hazard quotients(HQs)for As intake through drinking water were 6.01±17.85 and 7.41±22.03 for boys and girls,respectively,implying non-carcinogenic health risks to both genders.The HQs for Fe intake were less than threshold value of 1 indicating no health issues may arise from Fe intake alone.However,consumption of As and Fe may trigger health risks to students as indicated by the hazard index(HI),which was higher than 1.The average cancer risk(CR)values for both boys(0.0027±0.008)and girls(0.0033±0.0099)exceeded the threshold limit of 10-6-10-4,suggesting a possibility of lifetime cancer risks to the school-going children.Consequently,school authorities should find alternative ways to ensure safe drinking water for school-going children to avoid possible cancer and non-cancer health risks through consumption of As-poisoning water.

RBFK cipher:a randomized butterfly architecture‑based lightweight block cipher for IoT devices in the edge computing environment

Internet security has become a major concern with the growing use of the Internet of Things(IoT)and edge computing technologies.Even though data processing is handled by the edge server,sensitive data is generated and stored by the IoT devices,which are subject to attack.Since most IoT devices have limited resources,standard security algorithms such as AES,DES,and RSA hamper their ability to run properly.In this paper,a lightweight symmetric key cipher termed randomized butterfly architecture of fast Fourier transform for key(RBFK)cipher is proposed for resource-constrained IoT devices in the edge computing environment.The butterfly architecture is used in the key scheduling system to produce strong round keys for five rounds of the encryption method.The RBFK cipher has two key sizes:64 and 128 bits,with a block size of 64 bits.The RBFK ciphers have a larger avalanche effect due to the butterfly architecture ensuring strong security.The proposed cipher satisfies the Shannon characteristics of confusion and diffusion.The memory usage and execution cycle of the RBFK cipher are assessed using the fair evaluation of the lightweight cryptographic systems(FELICS)tool.The proposed ciphers were also implemented using MATLAB 2021a to test key sensitivity by analyzing the histogram,correlation graph,and entropy of encrypted and decrypted images.Since the RBFK ciphers with minimal computational complexity provide better security than recently proposed competing ciphers,these are suitable for IoT devices in an edge computing environment.

由于各种随机原因,在其他电力系统组件之间的传输线遭受意外故障。这些故障会中断电力系统运行的可靠性当发生不可预测的故障时,需要保护系统以防止这些故障的传播并保护系统免受由它们引起的异常操作。这些保护系统的功能是检测和分类故障,并在检测到电压和/或电流线路的大小时检测故障线路的位置。一旦检测到故障并进行分类,保护继电器就会向断路器发送跳闸信号,以断开(隔离)故障线路。随着电力系统需求的变化和日益复杂化,提出了提高电力系统可靠性保护和故障定位的新要求。随着电力系统故障的发生,传统的基于距离继电器的输电线路保护方法越来越受到重视。有不同类型的开关瞬态产生。例如,在50赫兹(工频)下,由系统中LC元件的谐振引起的较高频率,以及由雷电浪涌引起的非常高的频率瞬变。这些瞬变的幅度和延迟率取决于许多因素,例如故障位置,故障类型,系统参数等。这些瞬变使得难以定义总线电压和线电流之间的关系。很多时候,传统的保护方法无法准确运行。人工神经网络(ANN)可以提供用于检测电力系统故障的新颖解决方案。ANN可以作为一种强大的工具,作为准确有效地解决问题的替代方法。神经网络的特性,例如它们的学习,泛化和并行处理能力,使它们的应用程序成为许多系统的理想选择。使用神经网络作为模式分类器是其最常见和最强大的应用程序之一。

Metabolic analysis provides answers in the diagnosis of many inherited diseases by sensitive and accurate quantification of molecules ranging from carbohydrates,amino acids,lipids and peptides.Considering the importance of diagnosis in the management of metabolic diseases,development of novel diagnostics methods are in urgent need.Over the past decades,the rapid development of nanotechnology has provided new insight into future diagnostic approaches.Especially,the design of core/shell nano-composites with unique surface chemistries attract attention in the metabolite analysis as LDI MS matrix.This promising approach to detect/quantify the low molecular weight molecules（＜600 m/z）by nano/micro inorganic materials as a matrix is in serious demand.However,the application of these materials is very limited in real biological samples,owing to high sample complexity and low molecular abundance.Herein,we report a new metal oxide nanomaterial（SiO2-NH2@ZrO2）matrix for analysis of low-molecular weight compounds using laser desorption/Ionization mass spectrometry（LDI MS）.The use of zirconia-silica coating（SiO2-NH2@ZrO2）avoided the fragmentation of analytes and provided good reproducibility and high salt tolerance property,highlighting the potential applications in complex biosample.We further utilized this SiO2-NH2@ZrO2 material as a novel electrochemical sensor for detection of phosphopeptides by electrochemistry technique.In this method,metal oxide nanomaterials were electrodeposited on a glassy indium tin oxide（ITO）electrode to saturation can be replaced by the non-electroactive P-peptides by competing the binding sites on affinity metal oxide,resulting in a decrease of peak current of non-phosphopeptides/metal oxide deposited electrode.It was successfully fabricated on the indium tin oxide（ITO）electrode using differential pulse voltammetry（DPV）and cyclic voltammetry（CV）.The change of peak current directly related to the concentration of the P-peptides in solution,and thus,P-peptides can be quantitatively determined.The S

Analysis of Pedestrian Facilities in CBD Area of Pabna Municipality, Bangladesh

Pabna is one the most densely populated town with poor transport infrastructure in Bangladesh. Here huge pedestriangathers in roads and intersections in CBD （Central Business District） area mainly for commercial and business purposes. At present,pedestrian facilities are one of the greatest challenges in terms of traffic and safety for the urban dwellers. The footpath, zebra rossing,road intersection, walkways, parking and other facilities are the major part of road transportation system as well as pedestrianfacilities and people have to pass walking distance to reach their destinations, before and after use of transport mode. For instance,this paper tries to emphasize the problems of pedestrian facilities and to explore the qualitative level of comfort for the pedestrians ofthree selected intersections namely Traffic More, Indra More and Nimtola More in CBD area of Pabna Municipality through primaryand secondary data. However, about 60% trips are making on foot every day, but the pedestrians are facing many problems whileusing the walkways. Pedestrian crossing behaviors were also observed by using pedestrian volume survey and the survey exploresthat pedestrian crossing rate at these intersections is about 5,000 to 7,000 per hour at a peak period and average 15% to 25% illegalcrossing occurs at those intersections. The physical observation and data from the questionnaire survey also indicate that informalbusiness on the footpath, illegal parking, illegal vendor on walkways, physical obstacle, poor lighting facilities and geometricproblem of the road intersection makes uncomfortable situations for the pedestrian day by day.

In vitro α-amylase inhibitory activity and in vivo hypoglycemic effect of methanol extract of Citrus macroptera Montr.fruit

Objective:To investigate the therapeutic effects of methanol extract of Citrus macroptera Montr,fruit inα-amylase inhibitory activity(in vitro)and hypoglycemic activity in normal and glucose induced hyperglycemic rats(in vivo).Methods:Fruits of Citrus macroptera without rind was extracted with pure methanol following cold extraction and tested for presence of phytochemical constituents,α-amylase inhibitory activity,and hypoglycemic effect in normal rats and glucose induced hyperglycemic rats.Results:Presence of saponin,steroid and terpenoid were identified in the extract.The results showed that fruit extract had moderateα-amylase inhibitory activity[IC_(50)value=(3.638±0.190)mg/mL]as compared to acarbose.Moreover at 500 mg/kg and 1000 mg/kg doses fruit extract significantly(P<0.05 and P<0.01 respectively)reduced fasting blood glucose level in normal rats as compared to glibenclamide(5 mg/kg).In oral glucose tolerance test,500 mg/kg dose significantly reduced blood glucose level(P<0.05)at 2 h but 1000 mg/kg dose significantly reduced blood glucose level at 2 h and 3 h(P<0.05 and P<0.01 respectively)whereas glibenclamide(5 mg/kg)significantly reduced glucose level at every hour after administration.Overall time effect is also considered extremely significant with F value=23.83 and P value=0.0001 in oral glucose tolerance test.Conclusion:These findings suggest that the plant may be a potential source for the development of new oral hypoglycemic agent.

通过问卷调查的方式,调查了孟加拉国曼尼普尔部落对民族药用植物的利用。发现有26个科29个属32种药用植物用于治疗37种疾病。结果表明:所调查的32种植物中,多利用其地上部分(86%),而地下部分的利用相对较少(14%)。在植物药用制备中,叶片的使用最高(17个种),接下来依次是树皮、果实、根/地下茎、整个植株、种子和花。在32个植物科中,用于治疗痢疾的物种有10个,治疗发烧和风湿病的物种各5个,治疗哮喘、便秘、创伤和皮肤病的各4个物种,低烧病、咳嗽、腹泻各3种。32个物种中,72%的药用植物都能治疗至少一种疾病:75%口服使用,9%外服用,16%口服和外服结合使用。本研究突出了民族植物研究的潜力和迫切需求获取药用植物在人类健康利用的健康医疗实践知识。图4表3参45。
