The complex impedance spectroscopy and surface morphology of Mn1+xFe2-2xTixO4(0≤x≤0.5) system,prepared using a conventional solid state reaction technique,were *** impedance spectroscopy measurements.w.re carried out at room temperature in the frequency range of 42-5 *** electrical processes in the samples.w.re modeled in the form of an equivalent circuit made up of a combination of two parallel RC circuits attributed to grain and grain *** DC conductivity obtained by extrapolation of AC data using impedance spectroscopy and four-probe method increases at 10% doping of Ti *** energy-dispersive X-ray(EDX) pattern confirmed the homogeneous mixing of the Mn,Fe,Ti and O atoms in pure and doped ferrite samples.

AIM:To investigate the long-term results of penetrating keratoplasty(PK)in patients.w.th keratoconus(KC)and to evaluate factors that might influence the final visual ***:we retrospectively reviewed the data of all patients.w.th clinical KC who had undergone PK by a single corneal surgeon in a single center from May 1980to December *** age of the patients,preoperative best-corrected visual acuity(BCVA),corneal thickness,death to preservation time,and preservation to transplantation time were ***,postoperative complications such as graft rejection,development of glaucoma and specular microscopy were checked during the ***:sixty-nineeyesfrom69patientswerefinally *** follow-up period was 8.64±*** rejection occurred in 4 eyes of 69 cases(5.8%),and the time to graft rejection was 2.1±1.3y.A Kaplan-Meier survival analysis showed that the estimated cumulative probability of graft rejection at 6,13,and 17y after PK were 95.6%,90.0%,and 78.8%,*** we evaluated factors that might influence final BCVA in eyes,no disparity donor-host trephine size(same graft size)as.w.ll as higher spherical equivalent,and average Kvalue were associated with higher final BCVA.(P=0.006,0.051,0.092,and 0.021 in eyes.w.th follow-ups.w.th follow-up≥8y,respectively).CONCLUsION:The long-term results of PK in patients.w.th KC were favorable with a high percentage of good *** myopic change and low average K-reading,as.w.ll as a surgical technique using the same size donor-recipient button may provide better visual outcomes particularly in patients.w.th KC.

Nanocellulose has emerged for a wide range of applications in biomedical engineering because of its.w.ter absorption capacity,appropriate *** investigated the hemostatic and regenerative abilities of an expanding polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)-nanocellulose sponge on nasal mucosal defects.A 3 mm-diameter nasal defect was made in experimental *** were divided into four groups.w.th control,vaseline,PVA and PVA-nanocellulose packing *** the defect was created,bleeding times and amounts.w.re *** materials.w.re removed on experimental day(ED)*** ED 3,7 and 14,histological analysis and immunohistochemical study for neutrophils.w.re *** cells.w.re counted and epithelial thicknesses.w.re *** amounts and times in the vaseline packing group were smaller than in the PVA ***-nanocellulose group showed less neutrophils than in the other groups on ED *** epithelium thickness in the PVA-nanocellulose group was significantly smaller than in the control group at ED 7,but at ED 14,there was no significant intergroup *** group had a significant lower inflammatory cell count than the control group on ED ***-nanocellulose sponge applied to nasal mucosal defects can significantly enhance mucosal regeneration during early wound healing.

spatiotemporal changes in air temperature and humidity associated with the restoration of an innercity stream in seoul, Korea, are investigated based on long-term monitoring data. The Cheonggye stream, covered under a concrete structure for 46 years, was restored in 2005 and runs 5.8 km eas.w.rd through a central region of seoul. Long-term monitoring of the air temperature and relative humidity was made along the stream throughout the restoration and across the stream after the restoration. The area along the stream had a higher air temperature than the entire metropolitan area. The temperature anomaly between the monitoring area and the surrounding metropolitan area was 0.13℃ lower on average at the center of the stream after the restoration. The stream＇s effect on the air temperature was also evident in the temperature distribution along a street traversing the stream. The relative and specific humidities.w.re increased due to the restoration. The restored stream modified the nearby urban climate in the opposite direction compared to urbanization. The results could be used as a model case in mitigating urban climate by a stream in future urban planning practices.

Gastric cancer is one of the most common and fatal cancers. The importance of accurate staging for gastric cancer has become more critical due to the recent introduction of less invasive treatment options, such as endoscopic mucosal resection or laparoscopic surgery. The tumor-node-metastasis staging system is the generally accepted staging system for predicting the prognosis of patients.w.th gastric cancer. Multidetector row computed tomography (MDCT) is a widely accepted imaging modality for the preoperative staging of gastric cancer that can simultaneously assess locoregional staging, including the gastric mass, regional lymph nodes, and distant metastasis. The diagnostic performance of MDCT for T- and N-staging has been improved by the technical development of isotropic imaging and 3D reformation. Although magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) was not previously used to evaluate gastric cancer due to the modality’s limitations, the development of high-speed sequences has made MRI a feasible tool for the staging of gastric cancer.

Law level of RRO(Repeatable Run Out),NRRO(Non Repe at able Run Out),and lightweight construction are a major trend in the high-speed HDD(Hard Disk Drive)sytem to reduce track misregestration and to achieve high track density,which lead to succeed in the ***,it is not easy to r educe RRO,NRRO,and the weight of the spinning disk spindle system efficiently because lightweight construction and or bearing stiffness changes often yields a decrease in the static and dynamic stiffness of the system,and consequently hi gh vibrations may be generated as a ***,it is of importance to e valuate in advance the accurate dynamic behavior of the high speed spinning disk spindle system of a HDD *** study introduces an optimum design of the high speed spinning disk spindle system of a HDD for minimum RRO,NRRO,and lightweight construction using a gene tic *** spinning disk,hub,and bearing components of a HDD system ar e modelled as appropriate finite elements respectively and their equations of mo tion are derived to construct the system equations of the whole spinning disk sp indle system of the HDD *** RRO and NRRO responses of the spinning disk,due to exciting forces arised from ball bearing faults and rotating unbalance,are *** the design optimation,the hub thickness,the disk thickness,bearing positio ns(or bearing span)and bearing stiffness.w.re set as design *** uni que objective function is obtained by multiplying an appropriate weighting facto r by multi-objective functions,such as RRO,NRRO,and the total weight of HDD the *** constraints are maximum RRO limit,maximum weight linit,and the critical speed limit of the HDD spindle *** show that the RRO,NRRO,and weight are reduced by 6%,66.7%and 28%r espectively compared with the initial design of the HDD ***,thi s present study can be used for an optimum design of the spinning disk spindle s ystem of a HDD for lightweight construction

Lymphangioma usually occurs in children and usually involves the skin. Mesenteric lymphangioma is extremely rare in adults. Typically, lymphangioma appears on computed tomography (CT) as a lower attenuation of a cystic mass, however, some cases appear to be a solid mass. we describe the CT and 18F-FDG positron emission tomography/CT appearance in a case of jejunal and mesenteric cavernous lymphangi-omatosis mimicking metastasis in an adult patient with rectal cancer.

Direct visualization of the atomic structure in scanning transmission electron microscopy has led to a comprehensive understanding of the structure-property ***,a reliable characterization of the structural transition on a picometric scale is still challenging because of the limited spatial resolution and ***,we demonstrate that the primary segmentation of atomic signals from background,succeeded by a denoising process,enables structural analysis in a sub-pixel *** noise is eliminated using the block matching and three-dimensional filtering with Anscombe transformation,and remnant noise is removed via morphological filtering,which results in an increase of peak signal-to-noise ratio from 7 to 11 *** the centroids of atomic columns segmented via K-means clustering,an unsupervised method for robust thresholding,achieves an average error of less than 0.7 pixel,which corresponds to 4.6 *** study will contribute to a profound understanding of the local structural dynamics in crystal structures.

Endoscopic submucosal dissection(EsD) is the most advanced and representative technique in the field of therapeutic endoscopy and has been used for the treatment of gastrointestinal neoplasms,including early gastric *** major difference and advantage of EsD compared to existing endoscopic resection techniques,such as endoscopic mucosal resection(EMR) and polypectomy,are the width and depth of the *** developed cutting devices,distal attachable endoscopic accessories,and an advanced electrosurgical unit have helped to overcome the limitations of therapeutic endoscopy in terms of lesion size,location,presence of fibrotic scarring,and accompanying *** a result,the indications for EsD have been expanded from the classical indication for EMR and polypectomy,and there is now support for a further expansion of EsD *** present,the most critical factor to consider in the decision of whether to perform EsD is the probability of unexpected lymph node *** guidelines for EsD are continually being updated and *** this review,we discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the expanded guidelines,based on evidence found in the literature.
