This paper presents a numerical simulation of the flow inside a cyclone separator at high particle loads. The gas and gas–particle flows were analyzed using a commercial computational fluid dynamics code. The turbulence effects inside the separator were modeled using the Reynolds stress model. The two phase gas–solid particles flow was modeled using a hybrid Euler–Lagrange approach, which accounts for the four-way coupling between phases. The simulations were performed for three inlet velocities of the gaseous phase and several cyclone mass particle loadings. Moreover, the influences of several submodel parameters on the calculated results were investigated. The obtained results were compared against experimental data collected at the in-house experimental rig. The cyclone pressure drop evaluated numerically underpredicts the measured values. The possible reason of this discrepancies was disused.

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the role of adenosine triphosphate(ATP) purinergic signaling in mast cells(MCs) modulated by heat to further understand the molecular mechanisms of ***:Skin temperatures induced by monkshood cake moxibustion were evaluated by measuring the Neiguan acupoint(PC 6) from 31 participants with a digital thermocouple *** of 43 ℃ and 52 ℃ were applied to cultured human leukemia mast cell line HMC-1 in *** fluorescence was applied to detect intracellular Ca^(2+)([Ca^(2+)]_i).Extracellular ATP contents were measured by luciferin-luciferase ***:Maximum skin temperatures mostly ranged from 40-45 ℃,but some reached up to50 ℃.Both 43 ℃,and 52 ℃ induced MC degranulation,which was accompanied by an increase in[Ca^(2+)]_i and ATP *** extracellular Ca^(2+) with 5 mM ethylene glycol-bis(β-aminoethyl ether)-N,N,N',N'-tetraacetic acid(EGTA) inhibited the noxious heat-induced elevation of[Ca^(2+)]_i and prevented the enhanced ATP secretion by those cells at 52℃ but not 43 ℃.CONCLUSION:Monkshood cake moxibustion can generate heat sufficient to trigger cellular events of MCs,including degranulation,[Ca^(2+)]_i elevation,and ATP release,suggesting that purinergic signals originating from MCs are possibly the initiating response of acupoints to moxibustion.

Strzeszynskie Lake was formerly a slightly eutrophic（meso-eutrophic） water body. The aim of the current research was to define variables on both spatial and seasonal internal phosphorus loading from bottom sediments at five stations located in zones varying in depth, oxygenation, macrophyte presence,and uses of the neighboring catchment area. Ex situ experiments done with the use of intact bottom sediment cores have shown that the highest phosphorus release occurred in the deepest part of the lake and reached 3.6 mg P/m2d under anoxic conditions during summer thermal stratification. In turn, the internal loading from littoral sediments, which were well aerated all year round, was clearly ***, phosphorus accumulation in the bottom sediment was observed to reach a maximum of 1.45 mg P/m2d in autumn. A comparison of the internal loading intensity in lake zones with different land uses of the neighboring catchment area has shown slightly higher values at stations adjacent to the forest catchment area than those used for recreation. Changes in the land use of the catchment area of Strzeszynskie Lake, especially the increase in impermeable surfaces, have led to an increased inflow of external loads after heavy rains, resulting in deterioration in water quality and a delayed increase in internal loading.

Modeling of particle transport and combustion phenomena in a large-scale circulating fluidized bed boiler using a hybrid Euler-Lagrange approach

The constantly developing fiuidized combustion technology has become competitive with a conventional pulverized coal （PC） combustion. Circulating fluidized bed （CFB） boilers can be a good alternative to PC boilers due to their robustness and lower sensitivity to the fuel quality. However, appropriate engineering tools that can be used to model and optimize the construction and operating parameters of a CFB boiler still require development. This paper presents the application of a relatively novel hybrid Euler-Lagrange approach to model the dense gas-solid flow combined with a combustion process in a large-scale indus- trial CFB boiler. In this work, this complex flow has been resolved by applying the ANSYS FLUENT 14.0 commercial computational fluid dynamics （CFD） code. To accurately resolve the multiphase flow, the original CFD code has been extended by additional user-defined functions. These functions were used to control the boiler mass load, particle recirculation process （simplified boiler geometry）, and interphase hydrodynamic properties. This work was split into two parts. In the first part, which is referred to as pseudo combustion, the combustion process was not directly simulated. Instead, the effect of the chemi- cal reactions was simulated by modifying the density of the continuous phase so that it corresponded to the mean temperature and composition of the flue gases, In this stage, the particle transport was simu- lated using the standard Euler-Euler and novel hybrid Euler-Lagrange approaches, The obtained results were compared against measured data, and both models were compared to each other. In the second part, the numerical model was enhanced by including the chemistry and physics of combustion. Particle transport phenomena in small-scale circulating fiuidized beds （CFB） can be simulated using the Euler-Euler, discrete element method, and Euler-Lagrange approaches. In this work, a hybrid Euler-Lagrange model known as the dense discrete phase model （DDPM）, which has common roots with the multiphase particle-in-cell model, was applied in simulating particle transport within a mid-sized experimental CFB facility. Implementation of the DDPM into the commercial ANSYS Fluent CFD package is relatively young in comparison with the granular Eulerian model. For that reason, validation of the DDPM approach against experimental data is still required and is addressed in this paper. Additional difficulties encountered in modeling fluidization processes are connected with long calculation times. To reduce times, the complete boiler models are simplified to include just the combustion chamber. Such simplifications introduce errors in the predicted solid distribution in the boiler. To investigate the conse- quences of model reduction, simulations were made using the simplified and complete pilot geometries and compared with experimental data. All simulations were performed using the ANSYSFLUENT 14.0 package. A set of user defined functions were used in the hybrid DDPM and Euler-Euler approaches to recirculate solid particles.

The aim of this paper is to present different aspects of creativity in accounting. Firstly, since creative accounting allows to present a company"s financial condition in a more favourable light, the "advantages" of this creativity are identified. This is followed by the enumeration of negative aspects of creative accounting, to illustrate how creativity in accounting may help to falsify the true picture of a company"s business. Next, the concept of creative accounting and aggressive accounting (the latter, identified rightly, with a financial and accounting fraud) is explained. Finally, methods that are commonly used to falsify accounts, as well as the premises for and the circumstances in which such criminal practices occur, are presented. The paper draws on the results of other scientific works (books and articles published in scientific journals) in which the main and most interesting views of other authors have been presented. A critical analysis method was employed, followed by a comparison of legal texts and legal acts. The scientific conclusion was conducted using the deduction, and, partially, the induction method. It has been shown that it is justified to differentiate in accounting between creativity that is allowable within the established legal limits and practice based upon the use of creativity in a manner contrary to law. Further, it has been concluded that where creativity in accounting goes beyond the limits unambiguously established by the law, it definitely carries attributes of an offence. It has been also noted that due to continuous changes in the functioning conditions of enterprises, the above mentioned limits cannot be fixed or rigid. Thus it is necessary to control and analyse the creativity of accounting and financial staff working in enterprises in order to adapt the binding regulations to the needs of current markets.

AIM:To investigate the influence of chronic pancreatitis(CP) on serum concentrations of amino ***:Thirty-five male patients with alcoholic CP and 21 healthy male subjects were *** concentrations of amino acids were assayed by ionpair high-performance liquid chromatography with mass ***:Serum glutamate concentration was increased in CP patients as compared to *** contrast,serum concentrations of glutamine,histidine,tyrosine,proline,tryptophan and threonine were significantly decreased in CP patients.A trend towards decreasing concentrations of serum lysine,alanine,methionine and valine as well as for total serum amino acids was *** sum of aromatic and the sum of essential amino acid concentrations were significantly lower in CP patients than in ***:CP leads to decreased serum concentrations of several amino acids,such as essential and aromatic serum amino acids,most likely due to decreased exocrine function.

The interaction between graphene and germanium surfaces was investigated using a combination of microscopic and macroscopic experimental techniques and complementary theoretical *** functional theory （DFT） calculations for different reconstructions of the Ge（001） surface showed that the interactions between graphene and the Ge（001） surface introduce additional peaks in the density of states,superimposed on the graphene valence and conduction energy *** growth of graphene induces nanofaceting of the Ge（001） surface,which exhibits well-organized hill and valley *** graphene regions covered by hills are of high quality and exhibit an almost linear dispersion relation,which indicates weak graphene-germanium *** the other hand,the graphene component occupying valley regions is significantly perturbed by the interaction with *** was also found that the stronger graphene-germanium interaction observed in the valley regions is connected with a lower local electrical *** of graphene/Ge（001）/Si（001） was performed to obtain a more uniform *** process results in a surface characterized by negligible hill and valley structures;however,the graphene properties unexpectedly deteriorated with increasing uniformity of the Ge（001） *** sum up,it was shown that the mechanism responsible for the formation of local conductivity inhomogeneities in graphene covering the Ge（001） surface is related to the different strength of graphene-germanium *** present results indicate that,in order to obtain high-quality graphene,the experimental efforts should focus on limiting the interactions between germanium and graphene,which can be achieved by adjusting the growth conditions.
