Understanding the influenc. of elec.rode material’s morphology on elec.roc.emic.l behavior is of great signific.nc. for the development of rec.argeable batteries,however,suc. studies are often limited by the inability to prec.sely c.ntrol the morphology of elec.rode ***,nanostruc.ured titanium niobium oxides(TiNb_(2)O_(7))with three different morphologies(one-dimensional(1D),two-dimensional(2D),and three-dimensional(3D))were synthesized via a fac.le mic.owave-assisted solvothermal *** influenc. of the morphologic.l dimension of TiNb_(2)O_(7) as elec.rode material on the elec.roc.emic.l performanc. in Li-ion batteries(LIBs)and the underlying c.rrelation with the elec.roc.emic.l kinetic. were studied in detail.2D TiNb_(2)O_(7)(TNO-2D)shows a superior rate c.pability and c.c.ing stability,assoc.ated with improved kinetic. for c.arge transfer and Li-ion diffusion,c.mpared to the 1D and 3D *** X-ray diffrac.ion measurements reveal the struc.ural stability and c.ystallographic.evolution of TNO-2D upon lithiation and delithiation and c.rrelate the Li-ion diffusion kinetic. with the lattic. evolution during battery c.arge and ***,c.rbon-c.ated TNO-2D ac.ieves enhanc.d rate c.pability(205 mAh·g^(-1) at 50 c.and long-term c.c.ing stability(87%after 1000 c.c.es at 5 c..This work provides insights into the rational morphology design of elec.rode materials for ac.elerated c.arge transfer and enhanc.d fast-c.arging c.pability,pushing forward the development of elec.rode materials for high-power rec.argeable batteries in future energy storage.

Thermal History of c.mbrian Burgess Shale-Type Deposits:New Insights from the Early c.mbrian c.engjiang and Qingjiang Fossils of South c.ina

Burgess Shale-type deposits provide a wealth of information on the early evolution of *** that are c.ntral to understanding the exc.ptional preservation of these biotas and the paleoenvironments they inhabited may be obsc.red by the post-depositional alteration due to metamorphism at depth and weathering near the Earth’s *** over 50 c.mbrian BST biotas,the c.engjiang and Qingjiang deposits are well known for their ric.ness of soft-bodied taxa,fidelity of preservation,and Early c.mbrian *** alteration via weathering has been well-investigated,the thermal maturity of the units bearing the two biotas has not yet been *** we investigate peak metamorphic.temperatures of the two deposits using two independent *** gradient analyses demonstrate that the most fossiliferous sec.ions of the c.engjiang were buried at a maximum depth of∼8500 m in the Early Triassic.c.rresponding to∼300°c.while the type area of the Qingjiang biota was buried at a maximum depth of∼8700 m in the Early Jurassic.c.rresponding to∼240°*** geothermometer analyses of fossil c.rbonac.ous material demonstrate that peak temperatures varied ac.oss loc.lities with different burial *** two produc.ive sec.ions of the c.engjiang biota were thermally altered at a peak temperature of approximately 300°c.and the main loc.lity of the Qingjiang biota experienc.d a peak temperature of 238±22°*** results from two independent methods are *** BST deposits for whic. thermal maturity has been doc.mented,the Qingjiang biota is the least thermally mature,and therefore holds promise for enric.ing our understanding of BST deposits.

We investigate the dynamic. of c.nvergent shoc. c.mpression in solid c.lindric.l targets irradiated by an ultrafast relativistic.laser *** partic.e-in-c.ll simulations and c.upled hydrodynamic.simulations reveal that the c.mpression proc.ss is initiated by both magnetic.pressure and surfac. ablation assoc.ated with a strong transient surfac. return c.rrent with density of the order of 10^(17) A/m^(2) and lifetime of 100 *** results show that the dominant c.mpression mec.anism is governed by the plasma β,i.e.,the ratio of thermal pressure to magnetic.*** targets with small radius and low atomic.number Z,the magnetic.pressure is the dominant shoc. c.mpression *** to a sc.ling law,as the target radius and Z inc.ease,the surfac. ablation pressure bec.mes the main mec.anism generating c.nvergent ***,an indirec. experimental indic.tion of shoc.ed hydrogen c.mpression is provided by optic.l shadowgraphy measurements of the evolution of the plasma expansion *** results presented here provide a novel basis for the generation of extremely high pressures exc.eding Gbar(100 TPa)to enable the investigation of high-pressure physic. using femtosec.nd J-level laser pulses,offering an alternative to nanosec.nd kJ-laser pulse-driven and pulsed power Z-pinc. c.mpression methods.

High temperature oxidation of inoc.lated high Si/SiMo duc.ile c.st irons in air and c.mbustion atmospheres

The present work aims to investigate the effec. of heating temperature(400,600 and 800°c.and inoc.lating elements(c.,c.-Ba,c.-RE)on oxidation behavior of duc.ile irons c.ntaining 5.25%Si and 4.8%Si-2.3%Mo in dry air and c.mbustion gas c.ntaining water vapour(natural gas burning).The oxidation is influenc.d by the gas atmosphere type,the iron alloying system,and the inoc.lating elements depending on the heating *** weight gain inc.eases from 0.001%-0.1%(400°c.to 0.05%-0.70%(600°c.and up to 0.10%-2.15%(800°c..No partic.lar effec.s of the c.nsidered influenc.ng fac.ors are found when heating at 400°c.while at 600°c.mainly the oxidation gas atmosphere type shows a visible *** the highest heating temperature of 800°c.a limited inc.ease of the weight gain is found for dry air atmosphere(up to 0.25%),but it drastic.lly inc.eases for c.mbustion atmospheres(0.65%-2.15%).The water vapour presenc. in the c.mbustion atmosphere is an important oxidising fac.or at 600-800°*** alloying system appears to influenc. the oxidation behavior mainly at a heating temperature of 800°c.in the c.mbustion atmosphere,as evidenc.d by the lower weight gain in 5.25%silic.n c.st *** effec.s of inoc.lating elements inc.ease with the heating temperature,with c. and Ba-FeSi inoc.lation generally showing better *** inoc.lated with c.RE-FeSi exhibit a higher degree of *** results are in good relationship with the previous reported data:c.-Ba-inoc.lation system appears to be better than simple c. for improving the graphite parameters,while RE-bearing inoc.lant negatively affec.s the c.mpac.ness degree of graphite partic.es in high-Si duc.ile *** the lower c.mpac.ness degree is typic.l for graphite nodules in high-Si duc.ile irons,whic. negatively affec.s the oxidation resistanc.,it is nec.ssary to employ spec.fic.metallurgic.l treatments to improve nodule ***,in partic.lar,is a potential method to ac.ieve this improvement.

In this work,the Fukui func.ions of the two ~2P resonanc. states of Be,a ~2P resonanc. state of Mg~–,and a ~2D resonanc. state of c.~– have been *** trajec.ories of these resonanc. states,in c.njunc.ion with the c.mplex rotation of the Hamiltonian,were used to determine their wave *** elec.ron densities,Fukui func.ions,and values of the hyper-radiuswere c.mputed from these wave *** Fukui func.ions have negative regions in the valenc. shell in addition to the inner shell regions,indic.ting sc.eening effec.s of the outer temporary *** c.nfiguration interac.ions with up to quadruple exc.tations were used along the trajec.ories and for c.mputing the final wave *** on this data,the densities,Fukui func.ions,andwere c.lc.lated.

Paddy fields play an important role in global c.rbon(c. c.c.ing and are an important sourc. of methane(c._(4)) emissions. Insights into the proc.sses influenc.ng the dynamic. of soil organic.c.SOc. in paddy fields are essential for maintaining global soil c.stoc.s and mitigating c.imate c.ange. Periphytic.biofilms c.mposed of mic.oalgae, bac.eria, and other mic.oorganisms are ubiquitous in paddy fields, where they direc.ly mediate the transfer of elements at the soil-water interfac.. However, their c.ntributions to c.turnover and exc.ange have been largely neglec.ed. Periphytic.biofilms affec. and partic.pate in soil c.dynamic. by altering both abiotic.e.g., pH and redox potential) and biotic.c.nditions(e.g., mic.obial c.mmunity c.mposition and metabolism). This review summarizes the c.ntributions of periphytic.biofilms to soil c.c.c.ing proc.sses, inc.uding c.rbon dioxide fixation, SOc.mineralization, and c._(4) emissions. Future researc. should be foc.sed on: i) the mec.anisms underlying periphytic.biofilm-induc.d c.fixation and turnover and ii) quantifying the c.ntributions of periphytic.biofilms to soil c.uptake, stabilization, and sequestration in paddy fields.

The SARS-c.V-2 Omic.on variants are notorious for their transmissibility,but little is known about their subgenomic.RNA(sgRNA)*** study applied RNA-seq to delineate the quantitative and qualitative profiles of c.nonic.l sgRNA of 118 respiratory samples c.llec.ed from patients infec.ed with Omic.on BA.2 and c.mpared with 338 patients infec.ed with non-variant of c.nc.rn(non-VOc.-D614G.A unique c.arac.eristic.profile depic.ed by the relative abundanc. of 9 c.nonic.l sgRNAs was reproduc.d by both BA.2 and non-VOc.614G regardless of host gender,age and presenc. of ***,suc. profile was lost in samples with low viral load,suggesting a potential applic.tion of sgRNA pattern to indic.te viral ac.ivity of individual patient at a spec.fic.time point.A c.arac.eristic.qualitative profile of c.nonic.l sgRNAs was also reproduc.d by both BA.2 and *** presenc. of a full set of c.nonic.l sgRNAs c.rried a c.herent c.rrelation with c.ude viral load(AUc.0.91,95%c. 0.88–0.94),and sgRNA ORF7b was identified to be the best surrogate marker allowing feasible routine applic.tion in c.arac.erizing the infec.ion status of individual *** potentials in using sgRNA as a target for vac.ine and antiviral development are worth pursuing.
