The multifunctional properties of carbon nanotubes(CNTs)make them a powerful platform for unprecedented innovations in a variety of practical *** a result of the surging growth of nanotechnology,nanotubes present a potential problem as an environmental pollutant,and as such,an efficient method for their rapid detection must be ***,we propose a novel type of ionic sensor complex for detecting CNTs–an organic dye that responds sensitively and selectively to CNTs with a photoluminescent *** complexes are formed through Coulomb attractions between dye molecules with uncompensated charges and CNTs covered with an ionic surfactant in *** demonstrate that the photoluminescent excitation of the dye can be transferred to the nanotubes,resulting in selective and strong amplification(up to a factor of 6)of the light emission from the excitonic levels of CNTs in the near-infrared spectral range,as experimentally observed via excitation-emission photoluminescence(PL)*** chirality of the nanotubes and the type of ionic surfactant used to disperse the nanotubes both strongly affect the amplification;thus,the complexation provides sensing selectivity towards specific ***,neither similar uncharged dyes nor CNTs covered with neutral surfactant form such *** model organic molecules,we use a family of polymethine dyes with an easily tailorable molecular structure and,consequently,tunable absorbance and PL *** provides us with a versatile tool for the controllable photonic and electronic engineering of an efficient probe for CNT detection.

作为超快光纤激光器核心部件的可饱和吸收体近年来在纳米科学发展的带动下取得了很多突破性的进展,尤其是以碳纳米管材料为代表的光纤型可饱和吸收体受到了国际上的广泛关注。超快光纤激光器的应用不断扩展,包括精细加工、光谱特性探测、无损成像、光频率梳产生、材料的超快动力学研究等。针对近年来基于碳纳米管的超快光纤激光器的工作做一部分综述工作。对碳纳米管的原理、制备、非线性光学特性,尤其是在超快光纤激光器中的应用做出总结。

Losses of the alloying elements during vacuum induction melting of the binary NiTi alloys were evaluated by visual observation and chemical analysis of the NiTi melted specimens and the scalp formed on the internal surface of the crucible. The results indicated that the major sources of the losses were （a） evaporation of the metals, （b） formation of the NiTi scalp and （c） the sprinkling drops splashed out of the melt due to the exothermic reactions occurring between Ni and Ti to form the NiTi parent phase. Quantitative evaluations were made for the metallic losses by holding the molten alloy for 0.5, 3, 5, 10 and 15 min at around 100℃ above the melting point inside the *** analysis showed that there existed an optimum holding time of 3 min during which the alloying elements were only dropped to a predictable limit. Microstructure, chemical composition, shape memory and mechanical properties of the cast metal ingots were determined to indicate the appropriate achievements with the specified 3 min optimum holding time.

Therapeutic applications of collagenase(metalloproteases): A review

Non-invasive therapeutic methods have recently been used in medical sciences. Enzymes have shown high activity at very low concentrations in laboratories and pharmaceutical,enabling them to play crucial roles in different biological phenomena related to living organism, especially human medicine. Recently, using the therapeutic methods based on non-invasive approaches has been emphasized in medical society. Researchers have focused on producing medicines and tools reducing invasive procedures in *** are proteins which catalyze chemical processes and break the peptide bonds in collagen. Collagen may be generated more than the required amount or produced in unsuitable sites or may not degrade after a certain time. In such cases, using an injectable collagenase or its ointment can be helpful in collagen degradation. In both in vitro and in vivo tests, it has been revealed that collagenases have several therapeutic properties in wound healing, burns, nipple pain and some diseases including intervertebral disc herniation, keloid, cellulite, lipoma among others. This review describes the therapeutic application of collagenase in medical sciences and the process for its production using novel methods, paving the way for more effective and safe applications of collagenases.

Automatic Humor Classification on Twitter

Much has been written about humor and even sarcasm automatic recognition on Twitter. Nevertheless, the task of classifying humorous tweets according to the type of humor has not been confronted so far, as far as we *** research is aimed at applying semi-supervised classification algorithms and other NLP algorithms to the challenging task of automatically identifying the type of humor appearing in messages on *** different methods, algorithms, tools and classifiers used are discussed, as well as the specific difficulty encountered due to the very subjective nature of humor and the informal language applied in *** is shown that the discussed methods improve the accuracy of classification by up to 5% above the baseline which is Zero R, the algorithm that classifies all instances to the majority class.

Continuous,real-time monitoring and identification of bacteria through detection of microbially emitted volatile molecules are highly sought albeit elusive *** introduce an artificial nose for sensing and distinguishing vapor molecules,based upon recording the capacitance of interdigitated electrodes(IDEs)coated with carbon dots(C-dots)exhibiting different *** of the C-dot-IDEs to volatile molecules induced rapid capacitance changes that were intimately dependent upon the polarities of both gas molecules and the electrode-deposited *** deciphered the mechanism of capacitance transformations,specifically substitution of electrode-adsorbed water by gas molecules,with concomitant changes in capacitance related to both the polarity and dielectric constants of the vapor molecules *** C-dot-IDE gas sensor exhibited excellent selectivity,aided by application of machine learning *** capacitive C-dot-IDE sensor was employed to continuously monitor microbial proliferation,discriminating among bacteria through detection of distinctive“volatile compound fingerprint”for each bacterial *** C-dot-IDE platform is robust,reusable,readily assembled from inexpensive building blocks and constitutes a versatile and powerful vehicle for gas sensing in general,bacterial monitoring in particular.
