Estimates and Variability of the Air-Sea CO₂ Fluxes in the Gulf of Guinea during the 2005-2007 Period

Measurements of CO2 parameters (i.e. Total Alk.linity (TA) and Dissolved Inorganic Carbon (DIC)) were made from June 2005 to September 2007 in six EGEE (“Etude de la circulation océanique et de savariabilitédans le Golfe de GuinEE”) cruises to better assess air-sea CO2 fluxes in the Gulf of Guinea (6°N - 10°S, 10°E - 10°W). Two empirical relationships TA-Salinity and DIC-Salinity-Temperature were established. These relationships were then used to estimate the monthly fugacity of CO2 (fCO2) and air-sea CO2 fluxes. The monthly mean flux of CO2 reaches 1.76 ± 0.82 mmol·m-2·d-1 (resp. 2.90 ± 1.45 mmol·m-2·d-1) at the north of the Equator (resp. at the South). The north-south gradient observed as the patterns of the air-sea CO2 fluxes was mainly driven by the oceanic fCO2. This gradient was due to the low values of the CO2 parameters flowing by the Guinea Current (6°N - 0°) from the west to the east while the air-sea CO2 fluxes increased in the south (10°S - 0). In the north, the climatology of Tak.hashi underestimated the CO2 fluxes in the Gulf of Guinea when comparing to the estimated fluxes. This was due to the north-south gradient, which did not well reproduce by the climatology of Tak.hashi.

＜正＞Advances in understanding the genetic basis of cancer have led to the identification of molecules that are specifically expressed in tumors. Such molecules represent targets for therapy whose targeting might be expected to have increased selectivity for tumor cells compared to normal tissue with resultant enhancements in effect and reductions in the non - specific toxicities that lead to chemotherapeutic side effects. Two such molecules are 1) a mutated form of the epidermal growth factor receptor （EGFR）;and, 2) the dual specificity phosphatase, PTEN. Both have been found in sizable proportions of tumors of the brain, lung, prostate and breast.

AIM To analyze colorectal carcinogenesis and age-related DNA methylation alterations of gene sequences associated with epigenetic clock.CpG sites. METHODS In silico DNA methylation analysis of 353 epigenetic clock.Cp G sites published by Steve Horvath was performed using methylation array data for a set of 123 colonic tissue samples [64 colorectal cancer(CRC), 42 adenoma, 17 normal; GEO accession number: GSE48684]. Among the differentially methylated agerelated genes, secreted frizzled related protein 1(SFRP1) promoter methylation was further investigated in colonic tissue from 8 healthy adults, 19 normal children, 20 adenoma and 8 CRC patients using bisulfite-specific PCR followed by methylation-specific high resolution melting(MS-HRM) analysis. m RNA expression of age-related "epigenetic clock. genes was studied using Affymetrix HGU133 Plus2.0 whole transcriptome data of 153 colonic biopsy samples(49 healthy adult, 49 adenoma, 49 CRC, 6 healthy children)(GEO accession numbers: GSE37364, GSE10714, GSE4183, GSE37267). We study charmed baryon resonances that are generated dynamically from a coupled-channel unitary approach that implements heavy-quark.symmetry. Some states can already be identified with experimental observations, such as Ac（2595）, Ac（2660）, Ec（2902） or Ac（2941）, while others need a compilation of more experimental data as well as an extension of the model to include higher order contributions. We also compare our model to previous SU（4） schemes.

The widely used photocatalytic self-cleaning coating materials are often made of polymers and polymer based composites,where the photocatalyst immobilization occurs with ***,these organic polymers are often unstable under exposure to UV irradiation and easily degraded by reactive radicals produced in the photocatalytic *** order to solve this problem,in this paper,we present the facile preparation of a multifunctional coating with dual superhydrophobic and photocatalytic properties,where the fixation and the hydrophobization of the plasmonic Ag-TiO2 photocatalyst particles with visible light activity was performed with non-water soluble sulfur,which is a cheap and easily available *** resulted novel nanocomposite with rough and nano-tructured surface roughness(1.25–2.45 nm determined by small-angle X-ray scattering)has sufficient low surface energy(3.3 mJ/m2)for superhydrophobic(θ=151.1°v)***,in contrast of the organic and expensive fluoropolymer based composites,this non-wetting nature was durable,because the measured was higher than 150°during the long-term LED(λmax=405 nm)light irradiation.

Inspired by previous work.of Diaz, Petit, Serna, and Trevisan (Approximating layout problems on random graphs, Discrete Mathematics, 235, 2001, 245-253), we show that several well-k.own graph layout problems are approximable to within a factor arbitrarily close to 1 of the optimal with high probability for random graphs drawn from an Erdös-Renyi distribution with appropriate sparsity conditions using only elementary probabilistic analysis. Moreover, we show that the same results hold for the analogous problems on directed acyclic graphs.
