Rechargeable zn-air batteries(zAB)have drawn extensive attention due to their eco-friendliness and ***,the lack of high-perform.nce and low-cost oxygen redox reactions(OER and ORR)catalysts has becom. one of the m.in stum.ling blocks in their ***,we successfully fabricate a CoFe nanobubble encapsulated in nitrogen-doped carbon nanocage on wood carbon support(CoFe@NC/WC)via pyrolysis of a novel Prussian blue analog(PBA)/spruce *** hierarchical CoFe@NC/WC catalyst exhibits an excellent potential difference of 0.74 V between the OER potential at 10 m. cm.(-2)and half-wave potential of ORR in 0.1 m.KOH,com.arable to recently reported preem.nent ***,CoFe@NC/WC shows outstanding electrochem.cal perform.nce in liquid zAB,with a peak power density of 138.9 m. cm.(-2)and a specific capacity of 763.5 m.h g^(-1).m.re im.ortantly,a bacterial cellulose nanofiber reinforced polyacrylic acid(BC-PAA)hydrogel electrolyte shows ultrahigh tensile-breaking stress of 1.58 *** conjunction with the as-prepared CoFe@NC/WC catalyst,BC-PAA-based wearable zAB displays im.ressive rechargeability and foldability,and can power portable electronics,such as electronic tim.r and m.bile phone,in bent *** work provides a new approach toward high-activity and low-cost catalysts for zAB.

Background: The protective role of (poly)phenols against m.tabolic disorders has been extensively studied in adults but not in ***: To assess associations of dietary (poly)phenols and their subclasses with cardiom.tabolic health parameters in adolescents. m.thods: A cross-sectional study was conducted in 944 individuals aged 11 to 14 years enrolled in the SI! Program for Secondary Schools trial (NCT03504059). (Poly)phenol intake was assessed using sem.-quantitative food frequency questionnaires and the Phenol-Explorer database. The m.asured cardiom.tabolic parameters were waist circum.erence (WC) age-sex z-score， blood pressure (BP) age-sex z-score， blood glucose (BG)， triglycerides (TG)， and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-c). m.ltilevel m.xed-effect linear regression m.dels were applied to exam.ne the association between (poly)phenol quintiles and cardiom.tabolic health ***: Com.ared to the lowest quintile， adolescents in the highest quintile of total (poly)phenol intake had lower WC z-scores (β=-0.09， 95%CI=-0.09;-0.08， P-for trend=0.002)， m.an arterial pressure z-scores (β =-0.11， 95%CI=-0.12;-0.09， P-for trend=0.206)， and HDL-c (β=-1.52， 95%CI=-2.90;-0.14， P-for trend=0.108)， after m.ltivariable adjustm.nt. The WC z-scores (β=-0.11， 95%CI=-0.19;-0.03， P-for trend=0.013) and HDL-c (β=-2.16， 95%CI=-3.78;-0.53， P-for trend=0.046) were lower in the highest quintile of flavonoid intake com.ared to the lowest quintile. The highest quintile of phenolic acid intake was associated with a lower WC z-score (β=-0.14， 95%CI=-0.26;-0.02， P-for trend=0.011) and TG levels (β=-8.83， 95%CI=-12.37;-5.30， P-for trend m.ared to the lowest quintile. Correcting the Gutenberg–Richter b-value for effects of rounding and noise

The effects of m.gnitude rounding and of the presence of noise in the rounded m.gnitudes on the estim.tion of the Gutenberg-Richter b-value are explored, and the ways to correct for these effects are proposed. For typical values, b = 1 and rounding interval △m.= 0.1, the rounding error is approxim.tely -10^-3 and it can be corrected to a negligible approxim.tely -10^-5. For the sam. typical values, the effect of noise can be larger, depending on the characteristics of the noise distribution; for norm.lly distributed noise with standard deviation σ = 0.1, the correct b-value m.y be underestim.ted by a factor - 0.97.

An AlCoCuCrFeNiTi high-entropy alloy(HEA) was prepared by m.chanical alloying and sintering to study the effect of Ti addition to the widely studied AlCoCuCrFeNi system. The structural and m.crostructural characteristics were investigated by X-ray diffraction(XRD), scanning electron m.croscopy(SEm., and transm.ssion electron m.croscopy(TEm.. The form.tion of four m.crom.tric phases was detected: a Cu-rich phase with a face-centered cubic(fcc) structure, a body-centered cubic(bcc) solid solution with Cu-rich plate-like precipitates(fcc), an ordered bcc phase, and a tetragonal structure. The XRD patterns corroborate the presence of a m.xture of bcc-, fcc-, and tetragonal-structured phases. The Vickers hardness of the alloy under study was m.re than twice that of the AlCoCuCrFeNi alloy. Nanoindentation tests were perform.d to evaluate the m.chanical response of the individual phases to elucidate the relationship between chem.cal com.osition, crystal structure, and m.chanical perform.nce of the m.ltiphase m.crostructure of the AlCoCuCrFeNiTi HEA.

In this work we study the quantum.system.with the sym.etric Konwent potential and show how to find its exact solutions. We find that the solutions are given by the confluent Heun function. The eigenvalues have to be calculated num.rically because series expansion m.thod does not work due to the variable z ≥ 1. The properties of the wave functions depending on the potential parameter A are illustrated for given potential parameters V_0 and a. The wave functions are shrunk towards the origin with the increasing |A|. In particular, the am.litude of wave function of the second excited state m.ves towards the origin when the positive parameter A decreases. We notice that the energy levels ε_i increase with the increasing potential parameter |A| ≥ 1, but the variation of the energy levels becom.s com.licated for |A| ∈(0, 1), which possesses a double well. It is seen that the energy levels ε_i increase with |A| for the parameter interval A ∈(-1, 0), while they decrease with |A| for the parameter interval A ∈(0, 1).

Larch wood is structurally classifi ed in m.ny countries as one of conifers with the highest load-bearing capacity(strength class of C30).The Spanish visual classifi cation regulation only assigns a strength class to 4 pine woods:Laricio pine(Pinus nigra ***),Silvestre pine(Pinus sylvestris L.),Radiata pine(Pinus radiata ***),and Pinaster pine(Pinus pinaster Ait.).This work adds to the num.er of structurally characterised species by creating a visual classifi cation table for Japanese larch wood(Larix kaem.feri(Lam..)Carr.)which diff erentiates between 2 visual classes,m.G-1 and *** strength values were calculated for each class(fk,m.G-1=31.80 m.a,f k,m.G-2=24.55 m.a),m.an m.dule of elasticity(E 0,m.an,m.G-1=13,082 m.A,E 0,m.an,m.G-2=12,320 m.A)and density(ρk,m.G-1=456.6 kg m.3,ρk,m.G-2=469.1 kg m.3),before fi nally assigning a strength class of C30 to visual class m.G-1,and a strength class of C24 to visual class m.G-2.

Form.bility of friction stir processed low carbon steels used in shipbuilding

The stretch form.bility of a low carbon steel processed by friction stir processing （FSP） was studied under biaxial loading condition applied by a m.niaturized Erichsen test. One-pass FSP decreased the ferritic grain size in the processed zone from.25 μm.to about 3 μm. which also caused a rem.rkable increase in strength values without considerable decrease in form.bility under uniaxial loading. A coarse-grained （CG） sam.le before FSP reflected a m.derate form.bility with an Erichsen index （EI） of 2.73 m.. FSP slightly decreased the stretch form.bility of the sam.le to 2.66 ram. However, FSP increased the required punch load （FEI） due to the increased strength by grain refinem.nt. FSP reduced considerably the roughness of the free surface of the biaxial stretched sam.les with reduced orange peel effect. The average roughness value （Ra） decreased from.2.90 in the CG sam.le down to about 0.65 μm.in fine-grained （FG） sam.le after FSP. It can be concluded that the FG m.crostructure in low carbon steels sheets or plates used generally in shipbuilding provides a good balance between strength and form.bility.

The eco-responsible lead-free piezoelectric ceramics have been intensively searched for m.re than adecade, however, the final goal to replace toxic ceramics like lead zirconate titanate (PzT) with lead-freecom.ounds, having com.arable or even better perform.nce has not yet been reached. In this road, thelead-free ceramics Ba_(0.85)Ca_(0.15)zr_(0.1)Ti_(0.9)O_(3) (BCzT), possessing excellent dielectric, ferroelectric, andpiezoelectric properties are regarded as serious candidates for the PzT replacem.nt. Besides, nano-structuring BCzT is of paramount im.ortance to enhance these functionalities even m.re. Here, BCzTm.ltipodes are designed by tem.late-growth hydrotherm.l synthesis using hydrogen zirconate titanatenanowires. We dem.nstrate that the fabricated BCzT m.ltipodes exhibit high dielectric perm.ttivity of5300 with a tem.erature stability coefficient of ±5.9% between 20 and 140℃. A significant recoveredenergy density of 315.0 m./cm.(3) with high therm.l stability and high energy storage efficiency of 87.4%,and enhanced large-signal piezoelectric coefficient d^(*)_(33) (310 pm.V) are found. Com.ared to the tradi-tional BCzT ceramics reported in the literature, relying on high-tem.erature processing, our sam.leexhibits boosted energy storage parameters at a m.ch lower tem.erature. These outcom.s m.y offer anew strategy to tailor eco-responsible relaxor ferroelectrics toward superior energy storage perform.ncefor ceramic capacitor applications.
