Quality indicators in subtropical soils of Formosa,Argentina:changes for agriculturization process

The agriculturization process has been defined as the advance of annual crops in different environments,in competition with traditional land uses such as agriculture rotations with *** Argentina and other countries agriculturization has different degrees of impact on natural *** the northeast region of the province of Formosa,Argentina,agriculturization includes deforestation(clear cutting,slash burning and plowing),technological improvements and changes in land *** of these alterations,it is necessary to define the state of the soil to evaluate its *** can be done by means of indicators,which are not universal;they differ according to the use,management and type of soils,weather conditions and *** objectives of this paper are:(1)To identify quality indicators for subtropical Argiudolls and hapludolls;(2)To determine which indicators related to organic matter are most affected during *** changes produced in the Typic hapludolls and Typic Argiudolls after 25 years of continuously using native forests,agriculture,fruit plantations and pastures were *** changes were in pH,electrical conductivity,total organic carbon,particulate organic carbon,total nitrogen,structural stability,hydraulic conductivity,respiration and dehydrogenase and urease and enzyme *** with significant differences between diverse uses were evaluated by multivariate methods,Principal Component Analysis,and Correlation *** results of this study showed that total organic carbon,particulate organic carbon,structural stability and dehydrogenase activity are the quality indicators most affected by *** are related to organic matter.

MgO-based adsorbents for CO2 adsorption:Influence of structural and textural properties on the CO_2 adsorption performance

A series of MgO-based adsorbents were prepared through solution–combustion synthesis and ball-milling *** prepared MgO-based powders were characterized using X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy,N_2 physisorption measurements,and employed as potential adsorbents for CO_2 *** influence of structural and textural properties of these adsorbents over the CO_2 adsorption behaviour was also *** results showed that MgO-based products prepared by solution–combustion and ball-milling processes,were highly porous,fluffy,nanocrystalline structures in nature,which are unique physico-chemical properties that significantly contribute to enhance their CO_2 *** was found that the MgO synthesized by solution combustion process,using a molar ratio of urea to magnesium nitrate（2：1）,and treated by ball-milling during 2.5 hr（MgO-BM2.5h）,exhibited the maximum CO_2 adsorption capacity of 1.611 mmol/g at 25℃ and 1 atm,mainly via *** CO_2 adsorption behaviour on the MgO-based adsorbents was correlated to their improved specific surface area,total pore volume,pore size distribution and *** reusability of synthesized MgO-BM2.5h was confirmed by five consecutive CO_2adsorption–desorption times,without any significant loss of performance,that supports the potential of MgO-based *** results confirmed that the special features of MgO prepared by solution–combustion and treated by ball-milling during 2.5 hr are favorable to be used as effective MgO-based adsorbent in post-combustion CO_2 capture technologies.

Arylamine N-acetyltransferase 2 genotype-dependent N-acetylation of isoniazid in cryopreserved human hepatocytes

Cryopreserved human hepatocytes were used to investigate the role of arylamine N-acetyltransferase 2 (NAT2; EC 2.***.1.5) polymorphism on the N-acetylation of isoniazid (INH). NAT2 genotype was determined by Taqman allelic discrimination assay and INH N-acetylation was measured by high performance liquid chromatography. INH N-acetylation rates in vitro exhibited a robust and highly significant (Prates in situ were INH concentration- and time-dependent. Following incubation for 24 h with 12.5 or 100 µmol/L INH, acetyl-INH concentrations varied significantly (P = 0.0023 and P = 0.0002) across cryopreserved human hepatocytes samples from rapid, intermediate, and slow acetylators, respectively. The clear association between NAT2 genotype and phenotype supports use of NAT2 genotype to guide INH dosing strategies in the treatment and prevention of tuberculosis.

Choroidal changes in eyes treated with high-dose systemic corticosteroids for optic neuritis

AIM:To analyze the effect of systemic high-dose corticosteroid on the choroid in patients with unilateral optic ***:A retrospective comparative cohort ***-six eyes of 38 patients with unilateral optic neuritis that received systemic high-dose corticosteroid treatment were *** thickness(CT)and choroidal vascularity index(CVI)were measured in both affected and the fellow eyes at baseline,1 wk.1 and 3 *** in CT and CVI were analyzed in both eyes and compared between ***:The mean CT and CVI were 349μm and 0.70 in the affected eyes and 340μm and 0.69 in the fellow eyes at baseline(P=0.503 and 0.440,respectively).Decrement of CT and CVI at month 3 were significant in affected eyes(P=0.017 and Phan the decrease in CT,suggesting choroidal vasoconstriction caused by systemic steroid as a possible mechanism.

A study of nonlinear age-structured population models

This paper presents a novel analysis for the solution of nonlinear age-structured prob- lem which is of extreme importance in biological sciences. The presented model is very useful but quite complicated. Modified variational iteration method （MVIM） coupled with auxiliary parameter is used to cope with the complexity of the model which subse- quently shows better results as compared to some existing results available in literature. Furthermore, an appropriate way is used for the identification of auxiliary parameter by means of residual function. Numerical examples are presented for the analysis of the pro- posed algorithm. Graphical results along with the discussions re-confirm the efficiency of proposed algorithm. The work proposes a new algorithm where He＇s polynomials and an auxiliary parameter are merged with correction functional. The suggested scheme is implemented on nonlinear age-structured population models. Graphs are plotted for the residual function that reflects the accuracy and convergence of the presented algorithm.

Comparative phytochemical analysis of Coffea benghalensis Roxb. Ex Schult, Coffea arabica L. and Coffea liberica Hiern

Objective: To make phytochemical studies of the leaf, pericarp and seed of Coffea benghalensis(C. Benghalensis) compared with those of the widely known Coffea arabica and Coffea liberica. Methods: The sample extracts were prepared by Soxhlet-extraction. Polyphenol content was analyzed by HPLC-ESI-MS/MS, the identification was carried out based on the retention time, UV and mass spectra of standards and literature data of the detected compounds. Results: Phenolic acids like caffeoylquinic acids, dicaffeoylquinic acids, feruloylquinic acids and coumaroylquinic acid, as well as mangiferin were detected as main constituents in all extracts. Procyanidin trimers were present exclusively in the leaves. In C. benghalensis, main constituents were 5-caffeoylquinic acid and 4-caffeoylquinic acid. Flavan-3-ols were described in all immature and mature pericarp and leaf extracts. Even though 4-feruloylquinic acid was described in both immature and mature seed, dicaffeoylquinic acids were identified only in the mature seed extracts. Mangiferin was present in the leaf, mature pericarp and seed. Conclusions: These analyses provide new chemotaxonomical data for the selected coffees, especially for C. benghalensis. Due to its high polyphenol content, our results indicate its significance of providing new data as a possible source for industry.

As industries develop,fire disasters and their associated damage are *** the mental health of victims is imperative because this is an essential issue for community recovery after a *** study was conducted to determine the efficacy of a program implemented by a community mental health center based on the investigation of the victims’depression and post-traumatic stress disorder(PTSD)levels immediately after the disaster and at one-year *** a result,victims’depression and PTSD recovered over time,and more changes were *** particular,the high-risk group for PTSD showed a high program participation rate,and there was significant recovery over time compared with the group without *** on these results,community mental health programs are an effective way to increase community mental health after *** the future,community-based recovery programs after disasters should be expanded,and administrative support for them should be developed.

Effects of Stress, Depression, and Problem Drinking on Suicidal Ideation among Korean Workers

The mental health of workers is an important issue that affects not only individuals and their families but also workplaces and ***,it is necessary to regularly evaluate and analyze workers’mental health status,including levels of stress,depression,and addictive behaviors to apply thesefindings in creating mental health promotion *** study aims to provide basic data that would facilitate early intervention for workers’mental health problems by analyzing factors such as stress,depression,and problem drinking that can affect suicidal *** April 15 to October 25,2019,a survey was conducted with 165 workers across six workplaces in a Korean *** was performed using descriptive statistics,correlation,and simple and multiple regression analyses using the R statistics program *** was no difference in suicidal ideation scores based on the participants’general characteristics,while there was a significant positive correlation among stress,depression,problem drinking,and suicidal *** addition,severe depression,severe stress,and severe problem drinking had significant effects on suicidal ideation,and among the subitems of stress,somatic symptoms had an effect on suicidal *** addition,severe stress,somatic symptoms,depression,and severe problem drinking had a significant effect on suicidal ideation in males but not in *** is necessary to identify the effects of stress,depression,drinking problems,and suicide on workers’mental health,and evaluate their mental health systemati-cally and regularly to recognize whether active psychiatric treatment and nursing intervention are necessary as well as preventive *** addition,it is meaningful to pay attention to the suicide ideation of adult workers and provide basic data to promote systematic public health policies on mental health.

Climate change Impacts on Environmental hazards on the Great Hungarian Plain, Carpathian Basin

The potential impacts of climate change on the Great Hungarian Plain based on two regional climate models,REMO and ALADIN,were analyzed using indicators for environmental *** the climate parameters(temperature,precipitation,and wind)will change in the two investigated periods(2021–2050 and 2071–2100),their influences on drought,wind erosion,and inland excess water hazards are modeled by simple predictive *** hazards on arable lands will increasingly affect the productivity of agriculture compared to the reference period(1961–1990).The models predict an increase between 12.3%(REMO)and 20%(ALADIN)in the first period,and between 35.6%(REMO)and 45.2%(ALADIN)in the second *** increase of wind erosion hazards is not as obvious(+15%for the first period in the REMO model).Inland excess water hazards are expected to be slightly reduced(-4 to 0%)by both model predictions in the two periods without showing a clear tendency on *** three indicators together give a first regional picture of potential hazards of climate *** predictive model and data combinations of the regional climate change models and the hazard assessment models provide insights into regional and subregional impacts of climate change and will be useful in planning and land management activities.
