In this paper, we consider the Cauchy problem for pressureless gases in two space dimensions with the generic smooth initial data(density and velocity). These equations give rise to singular curves, where the mass has a positive density with respect to the 1-dimensional Hausdorff measure. We observe that the system of equations describing these singular curves is not hyperbolic. For analytic data, local solutions are constructed by using a version of the Cauchy-Kovalevskaya theorem. We then study the interaction of two singular curves in the generic position. Finally, for a generic initial velocity field, we investigate the asymptotic structure of the smooth solution up to the first time when a singularity is formed.

A parametrization of density matrices of ddimensions in terms of the raising J+and lowering J−angular momentum operators is established together with an implicit connection with the generalized Bloch-GellMann parameters. A general expression for the density matrix of the composite system of angular momenta j1and j2is obtained. In this matrix representation violations of the Bell-Clauser-Horne-Shimony-Holt inequalities are established for the X-states of a qubit-qubit, pure and mixed, composite system, as well as for a qubit-qutrit density matrix. In both cases maximal violation of the Bell inequalities can be reached, i.e., the Cirel’son limit. A correlation between the entanglement measure and a strong violation of the Bell factor is also given. For the qubit-qutrit composite system a time-dependent convex combination of the density matrix of the eigenstates of a two-particle Hamiltonian system is used to determine periodic maximal violations of the Bell’s inequality.

The coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic has profoundly impacted liver transplant(LT)activity across the world,with notable decreases in the number of donations and procedures in most Western countries,in particular throughout the first *** cumulative incidence of COVID-19 in LT recipients(with estimates ranging from 0.34%to 1.56%)appears to be at least comparable to that observed for the general *** and radiological features at presentation are also similar to non-transplant *** risk of death among LT recipients requiring hospital admission is high(from 12% to 19%),although some authors have suggested that overall mortality may be actually lower compared to the general non-transplant *** is likely that these poor outcomes may be mainly influenced by the older age and higher comorbidity burden of LT recipients,rather than by the transplant status *** fact,it has been hypothesized that post-transplant immunosuppression would exert a protective role,with special focus on tacrolimus-containing *** is scarce evidence to guide the optimal management of post-transplant COVID-19 and the use of antiviral or immunomodulatory therapies,although both clinical practice and guidelines support the dose reduction or withdrawal of anti-proliferative agents such as mofetil *** reports suggest that the antibody response to messenger RNA vaccines is significantly impaired as compared to non-immunocompromised individuals,in line with other transplant ***,it is foreseeable that the future will be conditioned by the emerging variants of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 with increased transmissibility among LT recipients.

Prenatal programming during pregnancy sets physiological outcomes in the offspring by integrating external or internal ***,pregnancy is an important stage of physiological adaptations to the environment where the fetus becomes exposed and adapted to the maternal *** exposure to high-energy dense diets can affect motivated behavior in the offs p ring leading to addiction and impaired sociability.A high-energy dense exposure also increases the pro-inflammatory cytokines profile in plasma and brain and favors microglia activation in the *** still under investigation,prenatal exposure to high-energy dense diets promotes structural abnormalities in selective brain regions regulating motivation and social behavior in the *** current review addresses the role of energy-dense foods programming central and peripheral inflammatory profiles during embryonic development and its effect on motivated behavior in the *** provide preclinical and clinical evidence that supports the contribution of prenatal programming in shaping immune profiles that favor structural and brain circuit disruption leading to aberrant motivated behaviors after *** hope this minireview encourages future research on novel insights into the mechanisms underlying maternal programming of motivated behavior by central immune networks.

Objective: To evaluate five indigenous Mexican plants [Hippocratea excelsa, Hippocratea celastroides, Argemone mexicana(A. mexicana), Tagetes lucida, and Pseudosmodingium perniciosum(P. perniciosum)] toxicity against the fourth instar larvae of the dengue primary vector, Aedes aegypti(A. aegypti).Methods: Each plant part was treated successively with hexane, ethyl acetate, acetone, and methanol to extract potential active components of the plants against the dengue ***: There was a range of toxicity at 24 or 48 h post-exposure for the different plant parts and organic solvent used(LC50 values ranged between 20 and 890 μg/mL). Extracts from seeds of A. mexicana(hexane washing with methanol and acetone) and stem-bark of P. perniciosum(hexane) showed highest toxicity to Ae. aegypti larvae at 48 h post-exposure(LC50 values were80, 50, and 20 μg/mL, respectively), thus making them potential candidates as *** are on-going to characterize the bioactive components of the extracts, through chromatography, for their use as biological tools for the control of the primary dengue ***: A. mexicana and P. perniciosum are good candidates to combat the dengue vector, Ae. aegypti, as they were highly toxic to the larvae.

Single particle tracking in three dimensions is an indispensable tool for studying dynamic processes in various disciplines,including material sciences,physics,and biology,but often shows anisotropic three-dimensional spatial localization precision,which restricts the tracking precision,and/or a limited number of particles that can be tracked simultaneously over extended *** we developed an interferometric,three-dimensional fluorescence single particle tracking method based on conventional widefield excitation and temporal phase-shift interference of the emitted,high-aperture-angle,fluorescence wavefronts in a greatly simplified,free-running,triangle interferometer that enables tracking of multiple particles at the same time with<10-nm spatial localization precision in all three dimensions over extended volumes(~35×35×2μm^(3))at video rate(25 Hz).We applied our method to characterize the microenvironment of living cells and up to~40μm deep in soft materials.
