Phenomenology,disability and sexual functioning in female Dhat syndrome:a study of tertiary care gynaecology outpatients

Background Dhat syndrome,a clinical condition related to semen loss in urine often found among males in India,has rarely been described as a separate clinical condition in *** with the syndrome complain of passing vaginal discharge and can be excessively concerned and preoccupied with it,often attributing various physical symptoms to the loss of vaginal *** This study aimed to assess the sociodemographic and clinical profiles of female patients with Dhat syndrome and their perceived stress,disability and sexual *** Sociodemographic details of 70 females with non-pathological vaginal discharge were evaluated with a semistructured sociodemographic *** phenomenology of the vaginal discharge was assessed with the Scale for Assessment of Female Dhat Syndrome *** and depressive symptoms were measured with the Hospital Anxiety and Depression *** stress in the past month and disability caused by the illness were assessed with the Perceived Stress Scale and the World Health Organization Disability Assessment *** addition,the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders,Fifth Edition,Level 2 Somatic Symptoms Scale was administered to rate the severity of somatic symptoms,and sexual functioning was evaluated using the Female Sexual Function Index(FSFI)scale for women who had had sexual intercourse in the past *** The mean age of onset vaginal discharge was 23.0(6.6)*** factors,such as urinary tract infection,were the commonly attributed cause of the loss of vaginal *** comorbidity and perceived moderate stress in the past month were found in 38.6%and 68.6%of female patients with Dhat syndrome,*** scores tended to be *** the females having had sexual intercourse in the past month,48.3%had FSFI scores indicative of a female sexual *** The clinical presentation of women with non-pathological vaginal discharge is

reestablishment in power system brings in significant transformation in the power sector by extinguishing the possession of sound consolidated ***,the collaboration of various manufacturing agencies,autonomous power manufacturers,and buyers have created complex installation *** regular active load and inefficiency of best measures among varied associates is a huge *** sudden load deviation will give rise to immediate amendment in frequency and tie-line power *** is essential to deal with every zone’s frequency and tie-line power within permitted confines followed by fluctuations within the ***,it can be proficient by implementing Load Frequency Control under the Bilateral case,stabilizing the power and frequency distinction within the interrelated power *** the net deviation in multiple areas is possible by minimizing the unbalance of Bilateral Contracts with the help of proportional integral and advanced controllers like Harris Hawks *** proposed the advanced controller Harris Hawk optimizer-based model and validated it on a test *** experiment results show that the delay time is 0.0029 s and the settling time of 20.86 s *** model can also be leveraged to examine the decision boundaries of the Bilateral case.

recent Progress in Deciphering the Biosynthesis of Aspartate-Derived Amino Acids in Plants

Plants are either directly or indirectly the source of most of the essential amino acids in animal diets. Four of these essential amino acids--methionine, threonine, isoleucine, and lysine--are all produced from aspartate via a well studied biosynthesis pathway. given the nutritional interest in essential amino acids, the aspartate-derived amino acid pathway has been the subject of extensive research. Additionally, several pathway enzymes serve as targets for econom- ically important herbicides, and some of the downstream products are biosynthetic precursors for other essential plant metabolites such as ethylene and S-adenosylmethionine. recent and ongoing research on the aspartate-derived family of amino acids has identified new enzyme activities, regulatory mechanisms, and in vivo metabolic functions. Together, these discoveries will open up new possibilities for plant metabolic engineering.

Incidence and risk factors for vitreous loss in residents performing manual small-incision cataract surgery

AIM: To assess the incidence of vitreous loss and associated risk factors in residents performing manual small-incision cataract surgery(MSICS). METHODS: The present retrospective record review study was performed on 490 patients who underwent MSICS performed between November 2018 and December 2019 by 7 third-year postgraduate residents. The study group comprised of patients having intraoperative vitreous prolapse. All the surgeries were performed under supervision of a trained assistant. rESULTS: The mean age of the participants at the time of surgery was 68.42±2.05 y. Of the 490 patients, 250 patients were male, and 240 patients were female(P=0.23). A total of 215(43.9%) eyes had mature white cataract, 185(37.8%) eyes had brown cataract, and 90(18.3%) eyes had immature senile cataract. The incidence of intraoperative vitreous loss among residents was 2%(10/490). Vitreous loss occurred during hydrodissection [1/10(10%)], nucleus delivery [3/10(30%)], irrigation and aspiration [5/10(50%)], and intraocular lens insertion [1/10(10%)]. Multivariate stepwise Logistic regression analysis confirmed immature senile cataract [odds ratio(Or)=3.99;P=0.02], irrigation and aspiration of cortical material(Or=3.07;P=0.03), and anterior capsular extension(Or=3.22, P=0.03) as independent risk factors for vitreous loss. CONCLUSION: Immature senile cataract, irrigation and aspiration of cortical material, and anterior capsular extension are independent risk factors for vitreous loss. Our findings may serve as a guide for future trainers or residents learning MSICS.

Mutations in the receptor binding domain(rBD)of SArS-CoV-2 spike protein have given birth to the new variants of concern *** and Omicron *** we are using vaccines which are either mrNA of spike protein of Wuhan strain or its whole virion vaccine,these vaccines will trigger antibodies to be able to bind with the epitopes of spike protein of Wuhan *** appears a need to study whether vaccine generated circulating neutralizing antibodies in vaccinated people are able to neutralize the receptor binding domain of spike protein of currently circulating Delta and Omicron strains as *** need to address this contention in two phases:first to undertake docking studies of vaccine generated antibodies with Wuhan,Delta and Omicron strains and second to conduct the wet lab studies and observe antigen-antibody bindings employing Immunofluorescence and Cryo-Electron Microscopic *** present paper reports results of docking studies using bioinformatic softwares to provide the baseline information for wet lab studies.

Mechanical Properties and Microstructural Evolution of Bulk UFg Al 2014 Alloy Processed Through Cryorolling and Warm rolling

Tensile properties, microstructural evolution and fracture toughness of Al 2014 alloy subjected to cryorolling followed by warm rolling (Cr + Wr) have been investigated in the present study. The solution-treated (ST) Al 2014 alloy is cryorolled followed by warm rolling process at different temperatures (110, 170 and 210 ℃). The mechanical properties and microstructural features of deformed and undeformed Al 2014 alloys were characterised by optical microscopy, transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The Cr + Wr samples at 170 ℃ showed an improved hardness (179 HV), tensile (UTS 499 MPa, YS 457 MPa) and fracture toughness (KQ = 37.49 MPa y/m, Kee = 37.39 MPa √m and J integral = 33.25 kJ/mm^2) with respect to ST alloy as measured from the tensile and fracture toughness test. The improved mechanical properties of Cr + Wr alloy are attributed to grain boundary strengthening, combined recovery and recrystallisation, precipitation hardening and dynamic ageing effect during the deformation. The precipitation of metastable spherical phase Al2Cu was responsible for the improved tensile and fracture properties of finegrained Al 2014 alloy observed in the present work.

Disturbance Observer Based Speed Control of PMSM Using Fractional Order PI Controller

In this paper, fractional order PI(FOPI) control is developed for speed control of permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM). Designing the parameters for FOPI controller is a challenging task, especially for nonlinear systems like *** three PI controllers in the conventional vector controlled speed drive are replaced by FOPI controllers. Design of these FOPI controllers is based on the locally linearized model of PMSM around an operating point. This operating point changes with the load torque. The novelty of the work reported here is in use of Non Linear Disturbance Observer(NLDO) to estimate load torque to obtain this new operating point. All three FOPI controllers are then designed adaptively using this new operating point. The scheme is tested on simulation using MATLAB/SIMULINK and results are presented.

Additive friction stir deposition of AZ31B magnesium alloy

The current work explored additive friction stir deposition of AZ31B magnesium alloy with the aid of MELD?***31B magnesium bar stock was fed through a hollow friction stir tool rotating at constant velocity of 400 rpm and translating at linear velocity varied from 4.2 to 6.3 mm/s.A single wall consisting of five layers with each layer of 140×40×1 mm^(3)dimensions was deposited under each processing ***,phase,and crystallographic texture evolutions as a function of additive friction stir deposition parameters were studied with the aid of scanning electron microscopy including electron back scatter diffraction and X-ray *** feed material and additively produced samples consisted of theα-Mg *** additively produced samples exhibited a refined grain structure compared to the feed *** feed material appeared to have a weak basal texture,while the additively produced samples experienced a strengthening of this basal *** additively produced samples showed a marginally higher hardness compared to the feed *** current work provided a pathway for solid state additive manufacturing of Mg suitable for structural applications such as automotive components and consumable biomedical implants.

galvanic corrosion of AZ31B joined to dual-phase steel with and without Zn layer by ultrasonic and friction stir welding

galvanic corrosion of AZ31B joined with bare or Zn-coated DP590 steel by ultrasonic spot welding or linear friction stir welding was quantitatively studied by pre-defining anode and cathode in the lap joint samples. Corrosion volume and depth from Mg anode surfaces exposed to 0.1 M sodium chloride solution was analyzed as functions of cathode surface type and welding method. Characterization of as-welded joints was performed to identify any microstructural feature of the bonding zone that could impact galvanic corrosion *** modeling with modified user subroutine was conducted to simulate the progression of Mg corrosion in the same joint and electrode configurations used for the corrosion experiments. The experimental results indicated that Zn-coated cathode surface can reduce Mg galvanic corrosion significantly as galvanic polarization and cathodic current on Zn-coated surface remained relatively low for Mg in the weld *** modeling described the growth of Mg galvanic corrosion in a reasonable manner but showed limitation by underestimating the corrosion volume as it did not capture self-corrosion.
