A simple,rapid and robust high-throughput assay for the quantitative analysis of irbesartan in plasma from two species using liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometric method was developed and *** phase extraction was used and quantification was achieved using a positive electrospray ionization interface under multiple reactions monitoring *** validation(as per recent regulatory requirements)was done using human *** same method was validated using dog plasma and the validation parameters met respective acceptance *** method has shorter run time of 3 *** will help in high *** low aliquot volume in the method helped us to take enough sampling time points for better pharmacokinetic *** calibration curve was shown to be linear from 12.1 to 6018.7 ng/ml in human plasma and 12.1 to 5987.2 ng/ml in dog *** method was successfully applied to samples collected during bioavailability studies of irbesartan in humans and dogs.

In seismic exploration,it is a critical task to image and interpret different seismic signatures over complex geology due to strong lateral velocity contrast,steep reflectors,overburden strata and dipping *** understand the behavior of these seismic signatures,nowadays Reverse Time Migration(RTM)technique is used extensively by the oil&gas *** the extrapolation phase of RTM,the source wavefield needs to be saved,which needs high storage memory and large computing *** two are the main obstacles of RTM for production *** order to overcome these disadvantages,in this study,a second-generation improved RTM technique is *** this improved form,a shift operator is introduced at the time of imaging condition of RTM algorithm which is performed automatically both in space and time *** effort is made to produce a better-quality image by minimizing the computational time as well as numerical *** proposed method is applied over various benchmark models and validated by implementing over one field data set from the Jaisalmer Basin,*** the analysis,it is observed that the method consumes a minimum of 45%less storage space and reduce the execution time by 20%,as compared to conventional *** proposed RTM is found to work efficiently in comparison to the conventional RTM both in terms of imaging quality and minimization of numerical artefacts for all the benchmark models as well as field data.

The purpose of the current investigation was to develop a pharmaceutical equivalent osmotic drug delivery formulation of Paliperidone(PLD)in the form of controlled porosity osmotic pump tablets(CPOT)in order to keep the drug's steady state concentration in the *** helps to achieve the greatest therapeutic benefit with the fewest side *** the purpose of identifying various formulation attributes,preliminary trials were *** design was used to study the influence of seven input factors namely drug to polymer ratio,polymer 1(HPMC K100 M)to polymer 2(HPMC K15M),drug to total osmogens,coating level,amount of pore former,concentration of ethyl cellulose and amount of plasticizer on dependent variable similarity factor(f2).Utilizing the Minitab 17,data analysis was *** similarity factor(f2)was computed using the osmotic tablet reference product INVEGA®.The findings demonstrate that each of the seven independent variables significantly affects the similarity *** optimized batch,both core and coated tablets showed acceptable pharmaco-technical *** release profile of the optimized batch tablets was found to be similar to that of reference product with good zero-order release *** release was observed through the channels formed by in-situ pores on tablet surface performed using *** the results it can be concluded that prepared CPOT of PLD was found pharmaceutical equivalent with commercial product which is cost effective and fully compliance with cGMP.

Background The impact of changing land-use patterns and associated anthropogenic threats on scale-dependent habitat use of semi-aquatic mustelids in scent-marking and social behaviour can provide important insights into the habitat ecology of smooth-coated otters(Lutrogale perspicillata).Methods We sampled 180 stream segments(100–400 m) as spatial replicates of 60 1-km2 sites to record indirect evidence(i.e. spraints and mass latrine sites) and group sizes of smooth-coated otters along the Tungabhadra Otter Conservation Reserve(TOCR) during the dry season. To quantify habitat, we recorded stream characteristics, riparian vegetation, and anthropogenic disturbances at the local scale, and hydro-environmental characteristics and land uses at the landscape scale. Using Markovian-chain detection and occupancy models, we assessed the multi-scale habitat use of otters in their selection of suitable areas for scent-marking based on repeated presence-absence data on spraint/latrine locations along the TOCR. We further used linear regression techniques to explore relationships between the number of individuals in smooth-coated otter group and hydro-environmental characteristics, spraint/latrine encounter rate, anthropogenic pressure, land cover, topography, and *** At the local scale, the probability of spraint deposition and group size decreased with anthropogenic disturbance while the probability of spraint detections decreased with grass cover. At the landscape scale, the probability of otter site use for spraint deposition and group sizes increased in southeast flowing streams. Impact of rotavirus vaccine on acute gastroenteritis emergency department visits and hospitalizations in a highly-vaccinated urban cohort

Background: Rotavirus vaccines (RVV) have significantly reduced rotavirus disease in children over the past 4 years in the United States. In this study, we describe the impact of RVV in preventing acute gastroenteritis (AGE) hospital encounters in a highly-vaccinated urban pediatric network during the 2007 and 2008 rotavirus seasons. Methods: We used 5 urban practices from a practice-based network to conduct a retrospective cohort study comparing the numbers of AGE emergency department (ED) visits and hospitalizations in RVV-immunized (exposed) and non-immunized (unexposed) children during the first 2 full seasons following RVV introduction. We determined incident rate ratios (IRR), using Poisson regression, and vaccine effectiveness for each outcome. Results: The 2007 and 2008 cohorts were analyzed separately. 62% of the 2007 cohort was vaccinated and 88% of the 2008 cohort. AGE hospitalizations were significantly reduced among RVV-immunized children from the 2007 cohort in the 2008 season with vaccine effectiveness of 67%. Sub-analysis of this cohort by age revealed that RVV was most protective against hospitalizations in the youngest age group (IRR = 0.21, 95% CI (0.06, 0.82). A trend toward protection against hospitalization was detected for both cohorts in the first season following immunization that did not reach a statistically significant level. For AGE ED visits, no significant difference was seen between RVV-immunized and non-immunized children in either cohort, although there was a trend toward protection (IRR’s: 0.67 - 0.7). Conclusions: RVV was highly effective in preventing AGE hospitalizations for a subset of our cohort in 2008. Given reports of RVV effectiveness, we hypothesize that herd immunity is responsible for the inability to detect a significant difference between RVV-immunized and non-immunized children in our highly- vaccinated cohort.

This study employs numerical and statistical approaches to investigate the entropy optimization of steady Casson nanofluidflow over three different geometries subject to boundary conditions induced by *** linear regression is employed to statistically *** present model incorporates several novel elements,such as Arrhenius activation energy,Brownian motion,the Cattaneo-Christov dualflux,thermophoresis,thermal radiation,and so ***,a comparison is presented between Newtonian and *** applying the proper similarity transformations,ordinary differential equations(ODEs)are ob-tained by converting foundational partial differential equations(PDEs).The Runge-Kutta fourth-order method is utilised to solve the obtained ODEs along with the shooting *** out-comes are visually depicted via tables and *** velocity drops with increasing Grashof number,and the magneticfield becomes progressively more forceful as the suction parameter *** temperature gets reduced with the increase of the suction parameter,solute Grashof number increases with the magneticfield,thermophoresis,and radiation *** entropy is observed to rise with the increase of the effective parameters(magneticfield,Brinkmann num-ber and radiation).The MAD(mean absolute deviation),MSE(mean squared error),and RMSE(root mean square error)values are approaching zero,indicating that the derived outcomes are highly accurate.A lower MAPE(mean absolute percentage error)suggests that the model has a higher level of ***,the outcomes of the present model are more precise and *** study has various potential applications such as power plant heat exchangers,material processing industries,and solar thermal energy systems.
