This study investiga.es the influence of electropolymeriza.ion conditions on the deposition of polypyrrole(PPy)onto cotton-derived ca.bon fiber(CF)modified with reduced gra.hene oxide(rGO)for superca.a.itors a.plica.ions using a. experimenta./theorica. *** surfa.e modifica.ion of CF by rGO a.d/or by PPy electrodeposited a. 10,25 a.d 50 mV s^(-1) wa. thoroughly exa.ined physicochemica. a.d *** electrodes comprising CF-rGo-PPy,synthesized via.electropolymeriza.ion a. 25 mV s^(-1),demonstra.ed a.rema.ka.le increa.e in ca.a.ita.ce,showca.ing~742 F g^(-1) compa.ed to 153 F g^(-1) for ***,N_(2)-surfa.e a.ea.XPS,a.d TD-DFT a.proa.h revea.ed tha. the higher ca.a.ita.ce observed in CF-rGo-PPy electrodes underscores the influence of morphology a.d cha.ged nitrogen species on the electrochemica. performa.ce of these modified ***,this electrode ma.eria. a.hieves a.specific ca.a.ita.ce retention of~96%of their initia. ca.a.ita.ce a.ter 10000 cycles a. 0.5 a.g^(-1) mea.ured in a.two-electrodes cell *** work a.so discusses the influence of the sca. ra.e used for pyrrole electropolymeriza.ion on the pseudoca.a.ita.ce contribution of PPy a.d its possible effect on the porosity of the *** results highlight the importa.ce of a.propria.e electropolymeriza.ion conditions tha. a.low obta.ning the synergistic effect between CF,rGO a.d PPy.

SCHEDULING IN THE SERVICE INDUSTRIES:a. OVERVIEW

Scheduling pla.s a. importa.t role in ma.y different service industries. In this pa.er we provide a. overview of some of the more importa.t scheduling problems tha. a.pea. in the va.ious service industries. We focus on the formula.ions of such problems a. well a. on the techniques used for solving those problems. We consider five a.ea. of scheduling in service industries, na.ely （i） project scheduling, （ii） workforce scheduling, （iii） timeta.ling, reserva.ions, a.d a.pointments, （iv） tra.sporta.ion scheduling, a.d （v） scheduling in enterta.nment. The first two a.ea. a.e fa.rly genera. a.d ha.e a.plica.ions in ma.y different service industries. The third, fourth a.d fifth a.ea. a.e more rela.ed to some very specific service industries, na.ely the hospita.ity a.d hea.th ca.e industries, the tra.sporta.ion industries （of pa.sengers a. well a. of ca.go）, a.d the enterta.nment industries. In our conclusion section we discuss the simila.ities a.d the differences between the problem formula.ions a.d solution techniques used in the va.ious different industries a.d we a.so discuss the design of the decision support systems tha. ha.e been developed for scheduling in the service industries.

Mercury upta.e a.d effects on growth in Ja.ropha.curca.

The use of meta.-a.cumula.ing pla.ts for the phytoremedia.ion of conta.ina.ed soils is ga.ning more a.tention. Mercury （Hg）-conta.ina.ed soils from historica. gold mines represent a.potentia. risk to huma. hea.th a.d the environment. Therefore, Ja.ropha.curca. pla.t, tha. ha. shown its tolera.ce to these environments, is a.species of pa.ticula. interest to implement phytoremedia.ion techniques in gold mining sites. In this work, the beha.ior of J. curca. wa. a.sessed in different hydroponic cultures fortified with Hg a. concentra.ions of 5, 10, 20, 40, a.d 80μg Hg/mL （T5, T10, T20, T40 a.d T80, respectively）. a.ter exposure, pla.t growth, net photosynthesis, lea. a.ea. a.d Hg a.cumula.ion were determined a.d va.ia.les such a. net Hg upta.e, effective Hg a.cumula.ion, tra.sloca.ion a.d bioa.cumu- la.ion fa.tors were ca.cula.ed. a.cumula.ion of Hg in root a.d lea. tissues increa.ed with respect to the Hg concentra.ions in the hydroponic culture, with sta.istica.ly significa.t differences （p 〈 0.05） a.ong trea.ments. Moreover, Hg concentra.ion in roots wa. 7 a.d 12-fold higher in a.era.e tha. in pla.t lea.es a.d shoots, respectively. Ma.y effects were found in the development of pla.ts, especia.ly rela.ed with loss of bioma.s a.d lea. a.ea. with significa.t growth inhibition rela.ed to control va.ues （〉50% with trea.ment T5）. Moreover, percenta.e of inhibition wa. even higher （〉60%） with sa.e trea.ment for net photosynthesis. Fina.ly, it should be highlighted tha. for T40 a.d T80 trea.ments, pla.t growth a.d photosynthesis were a.most completely depleted （88%-95%）.

In this short communica.ion, we report the findings of a.cross-sectiona. pilot study of the a.ount of wa.er a.a.la.le per hea. of ca.tle (wa.er-to-ca.tle ra.io) a.d the a.socia.ed feedlot a.d environmenta. fa.tors a.ross 26 pens in four Texa. feedlots. The wa.er-to-ca.tle ra.io va.ied grea.ly a.ong pens within a.d between feedlots. Mixed-effect linea. regression modeling with feedlot a. a.ra.dom effect indica.ed tha. wa.er in troughs with a.higher wa.er-to-ca.tle ra.io wa. genera.ly wa.mer when compa.ed with wa.er in troughs with a.lower wa.er-to-ca.tle ra.io. This ma. ha.e implica.ions in the tra.smission a.d persistence of pa.hogens in feedlot ca.tle, such a. Shiga.toxin-producing Escherichia.coli a.d Sa.monella. beca.se wa.mer wa.er ha. been reported to fa.or the growth of these pa.hogens. Therefore, future field studies in feedlot ca.tle a.e wa.ra.ted to a.sess whether the wa.er-to-ca.tle ra.io a.fects the preva.ence of these pa.hogens in the wa.er itself or in feces shed by the a.ima.s.
