In order to avoid mistakes and to save a great deal of time in analysis, an innovative methodology was developed that can analyze the well operations and rig characteristics involved to define the best emergency disconnect sequence （EDS） available. A solution was developed based on the characteristics of the rigs and blowout preventers （BOPs）, and six variables were considered that directly affect the choice of EDS. All possible combinations of 64 scenarios were analyzed, and the priority of choice of the EDS was defined empirically. This paper presents an approach to EDS risk management and examples of exposure time （time without riser safety margin and shear capability） for the same well, which can be lowered from 13% to 0.1%. The impact of this reduction is related to the ability of the BOP to cut some of the heavy casings, in addition to improved availability of EDS modes. This implementation opened up many possibilities for the performance of risk exposure analysis, enabling comparison of several BOP configurations of contracted rigs and selection of the best options. This innovative approach allowed a better management of the rig schedules, prioritizing safety aspects and making it possible to allocate the fleet in a systematic way.

Fragmentation/disassembly of fiber-like micelles generated by living crystalline-driven self-assembly(CDSA)is usually encountered in aqueous media,which hinders the applications of ***,we report the generation of uniform fiber-like micelles consisting of a𝜋Л-conjugated oligo(p-phenylenevinylene)core and a crosslinking silica shell with grafted poly(ethylene glycol)(PEG)chains by the combination of living CDSA,silica chemistry and surface grafting-onto *** to the presence of crosslinking silica shell and the outmost PEG chains,the resulting micelles exhibit excellent dispersity and colloidal stability in PBS buffer,BSA aqueous solution and upon heating at 80℃ for 2 h without micellar fragmentation/*** micelles also show negligible cytotoxicity toward both HeLa cervical cancer and HEK239T human embryonic kidney cell ***,micelles with Ln of 156 nm show the“stealth”property with no significant uptake by HeLa cells,whereas some certain amounts of micelles with Ln of 535 nm can penetrate into HeLa cells,showing length-dependent cellular uptake *** results provide a route to prepare uniform,colloidally stable fiber-like nanostructures with tunable length and functions derived for biomedical applications.

Optimization of the Chitinase Production by Different Metarhizium anisopliae Strains under Solid-State Fermentation with Silkworm Chrysalis as Substrate Using CCRD

Entomopathogenic fungi, such as Metarhizium anisopliae, are able to control various insect pests. These fungi attack the integument of the host using an enzymatic complex. Among the enzymes found in this complex, chitinase is an important component. However, the relation between the chitinase production and the virulence from different M. anisopliae strains has not been analyzed. In this manuscript it is presented the chitinase production by four M. anisopliae strains with different potential of virulence in Solid-State Fermentation using silkworm chrysalis as substrate. The higher chitinase level was obtained with the strain IBCB 360 (7.14 U/g of substrate) with potential virulence of 68% on Diatrea saccharalis. The enzyme production was optimized for all strains using a factorial planning (CCRD) considering the cultivation time and medium humidity as independent variables. The maximal production of chitinase was obtained at a range from 8 to 12-days old cultures and from 45% to 62% of moisture according to the surface response plot, with high R2 value. The enzyme production by the strain IBCB 167 was increased two-folds under optimized conditions, while for the strains IBCB 360 and 425 the chitinase production was increased four-folds and nine-folds for the strain IBCB 384.

Objective: To evaluate the structural and chemical composition of plant and the antioxidant and antimicrobial activities promoted by hexanic, ethanolic and ethyl acetate fractions obtained from leaves of Conocarpus ***: Organic fractions were characterized through UPLC-MS and *** potential was performed through DPPH and molybdenum phosphate *** and antifungal assays were performed in accordance with Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute ***: The obtained biomass of Conocarpus erectus leaves showed the high presence of glucose(0.45 g/L), cellulose(28.69%), Na(55.126 μg/L) and K(31.163 μg/L).We identified seven compounds in the hexanic and ethyl acetate fractions, and eight compounds in ethanolic ***, phenolic compounds are prevalent in all organic fractions with values of(10.04 ± 0.24),(221.26 ± 1.84),(340.53 ± 0.84) mg/g GAE to hexanic, ethyl acetate and ethanolic fraction, *** results showed a high potential in ethyl acetate fraction(71.82 ± 6.87)% and(10.89 ± 0.05)% in DPPH and molybdenum phosphate techniques, *** ethanolic fraction showed moderate bacteriostatic and bactericidal activity against Staphylococcus aureus and presented a high fungistatic potential for all Candida species ***: Organic fractions obtained from leaves of Conocarpus erectus present antimicrobial and antioxidant properties, and these findings contribute to scientific information for the effectiveness on use of this plant in the development of a phytotherapic compound.

AIM To identify factors associated with depressive symptoms among inpatients with cardiovascular disease(CVD). METHODS This is a cross-sectional study performed in a subsample of a large cross-sectional research that investigated affective disorders and suicide behaviour among inpatients hospitalized in non-surgical wards of the University Hospital of the Federal University of Minas Gerais from November 2013 to October 2015. Sociodemographic and clinical data were obtained through a structured interview and medical record review. depression was assessed by the depression subscale of the Hospital Anxiety and depression Scale, with scores ≥ 8 considered as positive screening for depression. We used the Fagestr?m Test for Nicotine dependence to characterize nicotine dependence. For assessing resilience and early-life trauma, we used the raw scores of the Wagnild and Young Resilience Scale and Childhood Trauma Questionnaire, *** At endpoint, we included 137 subjects. Thirty-eight(27.7%) subjects presented depressive symptoms and nine(23.7%) of those were receiving antidepressant treatment during hospitalization. The female sex; a lower mean educational level; a greater prevalence of previous suicide attempts; a higher level of pain; a higher prevalence of family antecedents of mental disorders; a lower resilience score; and higher childhood trauma score were the factors significantly associated with screening positive for major depression(P demonstrated that the factors independently associated with the depressive symptoms were a higher childhood trauma severity(OR = 1.06; P = 0.004); moderate to severe nicotine dependence(OR = 8.58; P = 0.008); and the number of previous hospital admissions(OR = 1.11; P = 0.034). The obtained logistic model was considered valid, indicating that the three factors together distinguished between having or not depressive symptoms, and correctly classified 74.6% of individuals in the ***

In this paper,we investigate the performance of commensal ambient backscatter communications(AmBC)that ride on a non-ortho go nal multiple access(NOMA)downlink transmission,in which a backscatter device(BD)splits part of its received signals from the base station(BS)for energy harvesting,and backscatters the remaining received signals to transmit information to a cellular ***,under the power consumption constraint at BD and the peak transmit power constraint at BS,we derive the optimal reflection coefficient at BD,the optimal total transmit power at BS,and the optimal power allocation at BS for each transmission block to maximize the ergodic capacity of the ambient backscatter transmission on the premise of preserving the outage performance of the NOMA downlink ***,we consider a scenario where the BS is restricted by a maximum allowed average transmit power and the reflection coefficient at BD is fixed due to BD’s low-complexity *** algorithm is developed to determine the optimal total transmit power and power allocation at BS for this ***,a low-complexity algorithm is proposed for this scenario to reduce the computational complexity and the signaling ***,the performance of the derived solutions are studied and compared via numerical simulations.

The applications of bionic methodology developed by the Laboratory of design and Material Selection as basis in the creation of junction elements were demonstrated. These elements favor the application of Ecodesign in reference to the effectiveness of product dismount aiming the reduction of ambient impact in all its phases of use. The creation, the development and the confection of new junction elements were described, and case studies of new products developed specifically with this purpose were presented.
