Introduction: Fe.ale. with sickle.ce.l dise.se.(SCD), de.pite.having a de.aye. pube.tal de.e.opme.t, are.subje.t to many worrie. re.ating to the.r abilitie. to conce.ve. the.r capacity to maintain a mate.nofe.al-risk-fre. pre.nancy till te.m and give.birth to he.lthy childre. without sickle.ce.l dise.se. Knowing that unplanne. pre.nancie. are.more.like.y to incre.se.mate.nofe.al morbidity and mortality, we.sought out to e.plore.the.pre.nancy pre.e.e.ce. in fe.ale.patie.ts with sickle.ce.l dise.se.to promote.he.lthy conce.tion and childbirth in this vulne.able.population. Me.hodology: We.conducte. a cross-se.tional study involving fe.ale.patie.ts of child-be.ring age.with sickle.ce.l dise.se.followe. at Laquintinie.Hospital Douala or who we.e.me.be.s of a local sickle.ce.l association. Pre.nancy pre.e.e.ce. we.e.de.e.mine. using the.De.ire.to Avoid Pre.nancy (DAP) scale. Factors associate. with pre.nancy pre.e.e.ce. we.e.de.e.mine. using multivariable.line.r re.re.sion mode.. Thre.hold for significance.was se. at p Re.ults: Se.e.ty-se.e. patie.ts we.e.include. with a me.n age.of 24.71 ± 5.53 ye.rs. Forty patie.ts (51.95%) had one.se.ual partne. and thirte.n wome. (32.5%) use. contrace.tive.me.hods. Most patie.ts (46.0%) re.ponde. “Strongly Agre.” or “Agre.” to the.state.e.t “it would be.a good thing for me.if I be.ame.pre.nant in the.ne.t 3 months”. The.me.n DAP score.was 1.63 ± 0.91 [1.28 ± 0.82 in those.who had a se.ual partne. and 1.99 ± 0.86 in those.who had no se.ual partne.]. Factors that we.e.positive.y associate. with DAP score.we.e.stude.ts (b = 0.32, 95% CI [0.21, 0.95], p = 0.003), monthly income.≥ 100,000 FCFA (b = 0.24, 95% CI [0.07, 0.81], p = 0.022), and not having a se.ual partne. (b = 0.26, 95% CI [0.11, 0.85], p = 0.012). Conclusion: Most fe.ale.patie.ts with SCD have.a low de.ire.to avoid pre.nancy. This is e.pe.ially true.for patie.ts who are.not stude.ts, have.a partne. and have.a low monthly income.

Usually conside.e. a morphologically conse.vative.group, dide.phid marsupials pre.e.t conside.- able.variation in e.ology and body size. some.of which we.e.shown to re.ate.to morphological structure.. Thus, change. on orbit morphology are.like.y and could be.re.ate. to that variation. We.calculate. orbit orie.tation in 873 spe.ime.s of 16 Dide.phidae.ge.e.a yie.ding e.timate. of orbits conve.ge.ce.（the.r position re.ative.to midsagittal line. and ve.ticality （the.r position re.ative.to frontal plane.. We.the. compare. similaritie. in the.e.variable. across taxa to e.ological, morpho- logical and phyloge.e.ic data to e.aluate.the.influe.cing factors on orbit orie.tation in dide.phids. We.found an inve.se.re.ation be.we.n conve.ge.ce.and ve.ticality. Dide.phids orbits have.low ve.- ticality but are.highly conve.ge.t, ye. orbit orie.tation diffe.s significantly be.we.n taxa, and that variation is re.ate. to morphological aspe.ts of the.cranium. Rostral variable. are.the.only morpho- logical fe.ture. corre.ate. with orbit orie.tation： incre.sing snout le.gth yie.ds more.conve.ge.t orbits, whe.e.s incre.se.on snout bre.dth imply in more.ve.tical orbits. Size.and e.ce.halization quotie.ts are.uncorre.ate. with orbit orie.tation. Among e.ological data, die. showe. significant corre.ation whe.e.s locomotion is the.factor that le.s affe.ts the.position of orbits.
