The article aims to rethink the pluralistic intellectual currents and social changes of the last centuries in China： How literati reacted to the historical changes, the economic developments, the collapse of the hierarchical order, and the social mobility from the end of the Ming to the middle of the Qing dynasty. Urbanisation, the great silver inflow, the acceleration of trade, and social mobility raised new challenges to the orthodox view of the world and to Neo-Confucian norms. These new attitudes of the Chinese literati--which can be inferred both from literary and philosophical works--uncover new attitudes in the mental structure of the intellectual strata of the time. In the history of ideas we notice a progressive detachment from the orthodox view of the conflictual relationship between principle and desires, especially in the ambit of the Taizhou school. The elaboration of a new anthropological mindset aimed at the rehabilitation of passions and desires culminated with Li Zhi. This trend went on in the Qing period, from Wang Fuzhi to Dai Zhen. In literature, a similar trend, the so-called ＂cult of qing,＂ can be found with the moral justification of emotion-desire （establishing emotion as a genuine and active source of virtue）, and with the vitalistic identification of emotions as the source of life and reproduction. Another indication of change is the challenge of common and accepted truisms through the praise of ＂folly＂ in real life situations and literary works： To be ＂crazy＂ and ＂foolish＂ became a sign of distinction among certain intellectual circles, in contrast with the pedant orthodox scholars and officials and the vulgar nouveaux ziches. The unconventional character of the anti-hero Baoyu is emblematic, with his aversion for any kind of official ceremony and convention, his abnormal sensibility and impractical and naive mentality, and his consciousness of being different from others. Background This study was conducted to investigate retrospectively the indications for renal biopsy(RB)in native kidneys and to analyze pathological findings in a single tertiary pediatric hospital in Southern Italy for the last 36 *** All patients who underwent RB at our hospital from 1979 to 2014 were *** renal tissue specimens were studied under light and immunofluorescent microscopy,while electron microscopy was performed only for specific clinical *** The study group included 213 patients(female 43.2%)who underwent 225 percutaneous native kidney *** age was 10.4 years(range 0.6-24 years).The most frequent indication for RB was nephrotic syndrome(44.4%),fol-lowed by proteinuria(27.6%),asymptomatic hematuria(17.3%)and acute kidney injury(9.8%).Gross hematuria appeared after biopsy in less than 5%of the patients,but none of them needed blood *** renal tissue sample was obtained in 95.5%of the renal *** glomerulonephritis(GN)was the most common finding(61.4%),followed by secondary GN(21.4%),tubulointerstitial diseases(3.7%)and hereditary nephropathy(2.8%),while in 10.7%of the cases,normal renal tissues were *** to histopathological diagnosis,the most common causes of primary GN were IgA nephropathy(20.9%),followed by minimal change disease(18.1%)and focal segmental glomerulosclerosis(11.6%).Conclusions The epidemiology of glomerular disease in our single-center cohort is similar to that shown in other national and international ***,our study shows that percutaneous ultrasound-guided RB is a safe,reliable and effec-tive technique in children.

Aims:evidence is emerging that,in the setting of isomerism,the atrial and bronchial arrangement are not always concordant,nor are these patterns always harmonious with the arrangement of the abdominal *** aimed to evaluate the concordance between these features in a cohort of patients with cardiac malformations in the setting of known isomerism,seeking to determine whether it was feasible to assess complexity on this basis,in this regard taking note of the potential value of bronchial as opposed to appendage *** and Results:We studied 78 patients known to have isomerism of the bronchuses,43 with right and 35 with left *** anatomy could be determined in 49 cases(63%),all but one of these being concordant with bronchial *** assessing abdominal features,in only 59 cases(76%)was splenic morphology in keeping with the thoracic *** expected,right isomerism was associated with greater complexity of cardiac malformations,with an odds ratio of 6.53,with confidence intervals from 2.2–19.3(pe odds were slightly decreased with thoraco-abdominal disharmony,when lesions shown to carry higher risk were then found in the setting of left ***:Harmony is excellent between bronchial and appendage isomerism,but less so with the arrangement of the abdominal *** isomerism in our cohort,was indicative of a sixfold increase in intracardiac *** discordance was found between the systems,however,the cardiac anomalies were less typical of the anticipated findings for right *** isomerism of the appendages.

A synthetic metalloporphine was immobilized onto a PVA-based and mercapto-grafted solid support, emulating the active site of cytochrome P450. Its ligninolytic peroxidase-like catalytic activity was studied. The coordinated mercapto ligand significantly affected the catalytic features of the catalyst because the oxidation of lignin-model compounds was very slow by comparison with imidazoleand pyridine-coordinated immobilized metalloporphines. Conversely, the catalyst efficiently bleached several industrial dyes and thus demonstrated promising activity for this application. Based on this altered substrate specificity the oxygen-donor catalytic route seems to be more favorable than a single electron oxidation pathway.

In this paper, a simple nonlinear control strategy for the simultaneous position tracking and vibration damping of robots is presented. The control is developed for devices actuated by speed-controlled servo drives. The conditions for the asymptotic stability of the closed-loop system are derived by ensuring its passivity. The capability of achieving improved trajectory tracking and vibration suppression is shown through experimental tests conducted on a three-axis Cartesian robot. The control is aimed to be compatible with most industrial applications given the simplicity of implementation, the reduced computational requirements, and the use of joint position as the only measured signal.

Let L be a pseudo-D-lattice. We prove that the exhaustive lattice uniformities on L which makes the operations of L uniformly continuous form a Boolean algebra isomorphic to the centre of a suitable complete pseudo-D-lattice associated to L. As a consequence, we obtain decomposition theorems such as Lebesgue and Hewitt-Yosida decompositions--and control theorems such as Bartle-Dunford Schwartz and Rybakov theorems--for modular measures on L.

In many applications and domains,temporal constraints between actions, and their probabilities play an important role. We propose the first approach in the literature coping with probabilistic quantitative constraints. To achieve such a challenging goal, we extend the widely used simple temporal problem(STP) framework to consider ***,we propose i) a formal representation of probabilistic quantitative constraints, ii) an algorithm,based on the operations of intersection and composition,for the propagation of such temporal constraints, and iii) facilities to support query answering on a set of such constraints. As a result, we provide users with the first homogeneous method supporting the treatment(representing,reasoning,and querying) of probabilistic quantitative constraints, as required by many applications and domains.
