Objective:To evaluate the ann-nociceptive activity of Tecomaria capensls(***) leaves extract(TCLE) using different models in rats by acetic acid induced writhing test,(b) tail-flick test(c) tail-clip ***:TCLE(100,300,1000 and 2000 mg/kg body wt.) was given to rats orally to observe acute toxicity for 14 *** test drug TCLE were given at dose of 100,200 and 500 mg/kg *** standard drug aspirin were given at a dose of 100 mg/kg ***:No mortality was reported even after 14 *** indicates that the methanol extract is safe up to a single dose of 2 000 mg/kg body weight TCLE(100,200 and 500 mg/kg p.o.) significandy inhibited abdominal constrictions(writhing) induced by acetic acid and increased the latency period in the tail flick and tail clip *** at the dose of 500 mg/kg showed significant anti-nociceptive activity compared to standard ***:The results of this study show that methanol extract of *** possesses anti-nociceptive activity which may be mediated by the central and peripheral mechanisms.

We have presented a theoretical study of the dust acoustic （DA） shock structures in a magnetized, electron depleted dusty plasma in the presence of two temperature superthermal ions. By deriving a korteweg-de Vries-Burgers equation and studying its shock solution, we aim to highlight the effects of magnetic field and obliqueness on various properties of the DA shock structures in the presence of kappa-distributed two temperature ion population. The present model is motivated by the observations of Geotail spacecraft in the Earth＇s magnetotail and it is seen that the different physical parameters such as superthermality of the cold and hot ions, the cold to hot ion temperature ratio, the magnetic field strength, obliqueness and the dust kinematic viscosity greatly influence the dynamics of the shock structures so formed. The results suggest that the variation of superthermalities of the cold and hot ions have contrasting effects on both positive and negative polarity shock structures. Moreover, it is noted that the presence of the ambient magnetic field affects the dispersive properties of the medium and tends to make the shock structures less wide and more abrupt. The findings of present investigation may be useful in understanding the dynamics of shock waves in dusty plasma environments containing two temperature ions where the electrons are significantly depleted.

Majority of geologic CO_(2) storage sites for currently operated large-scale integrated carbon capture and storage projects(LSIps)in operation around the world are depleted oil fields that have been undergone significant depletion and re-pressurization prior to injection of captured CO_(2).A better understanding of any of the implications associated with past depletion and re-pressurization histories to“out of injection zone”migration of injected CO_(2) can help in making monitoring strategies significantly more *** the geologic CO_(2) storage demonstration sites for two most active LSIps in the US,the West Hastings and the Bell Creek Oil Fields are the main focus of present *** monitoring technologies that have been used/deployed/tested at both the normally pressured West Hastings and the subnormally pressured Bell Creek storage sites appear to adequately address any of the potential“out of zone migration”of injected CO_(2) at these *** would be interesting to see if any of the collected monitoring data at the West Hastings and the Bell Creek storage sites could also be used in future to better understand the viability of initially subnormally pressured and subsequently depleted and re-pressurized oil fields as secure geologic CO_(2) storage sites with relatively large storage CO_(2) capacities compared to the depleted and re-pressurized oil fields that were initially discovered as normally pressured.

The concept of utilizing microgrids(MGs)to convert buildings into prosumers is gaining massive popularity because of its economic and environmental *** pro-sumer buildings consist of renewable energy sources and usually install battery energy storage systems(BESSs)to deal with the uncertain nature of renewable energy ***,because of the high capital investment of BESS and the limitation of available energy,there is a need for an effective energy management strategy for prosumer buildings that maximizes the profit of building owner and increases the operating life span of *** this regard,this paper proposes an improved energy management strategy(IEMS)for the prosumer building to minimize the operating cost of MG and degradation factor of ***,to estimate the practical operating life span of BESS,this paper utilizes a non-linear battery degradation *** addition,a flexible load shifting(FLS)scheme is also developed and integrated into the proposed strategy to further improve its *** proposed strategy is tested for the real-time annual data of a grid-tied solar photovoltaic(pV)and BESS-powered AC-DC hybrid MG installed at a commercial ***,the scenario reduction technique is used to handle the uncertainty associated with generation and load *** validate the performance of the proposed strategy,the results of IEMS are compared with the well-established energy management *** simulation results verify that the proposed strategy substantially increases the profit of the building owner and operating life span of ***,FLS enhances the performance of IEMS by further improving the financial profit of MG owner and the life span of BESS,thus making the operation of prosumer building more economical and efficient.

Molecular evidence on the occurrence of co-infection with pichia guilliermondii and Wuchereria bancrofti in two filarial endemic districts of India

Background:Lymphatic filariasis(LF),a vector-borne parasitic disease,is endemic in several parts of India and mostly affects the poor or those with a *** disease results in huge numbers of morbidities,disabilities,and deaths every *** of co-infection with other pathogens makes the condition more *** co-infection is becoming a growing area of research,it is yet to emerge as a frontier research topic in filarial research *** study reports the occurrence of a fungal infection in a large number of patients suffering from bancroftian filariasis in two districts of West Bengal,***:Nocturnal blood samples from filarial patients containing parasites and fungus were initially co-cultured,and further the fungus was isolated and *** identification of the isolate was carried out by pCR-based selective amplification and sequencing of highly-conserved D1/D2 region of 26S rDNA,whereas pathogenicity was determined by amplification of the RpS0 gene.A phylogenetic tree was constructed to study the relationship between the isolate and common pathogenic *** isolate was studied for antibiotic sensitivity,whereas morphological characterization was performed by microscopic ***:The isolate was identified as pichia guilliermondii and this fungus was found to exist in co-infection with Wuchereria bancrofti in filarial *** fungus showed resistance to azole antifungals,griseofulvin,and,amphotericin B,whereas significant susceptibility was evident in cases of nystatin and cycloheximide.A total of 197 out of 222 patients showed this ***:This study revealed,for the first time,that *** exists as a co-infection in microfilaraemic individuals living in a filarial endemic *** findings are important and have relevance to human health,especially for filarial patients.
