Rationale: The known prognosis factors for rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS) in children do not always explain the unsatisfactory outcome of treatment. Changes in the subpopulation composition of Bone Marrow (BM) effector cells during the development of RMS may indicate new directions for the search for prognostic factors and points for the impact of targeted therapy. Purposep.n>p.n>: To identify correlations between quantitative changes in the levels of subpopulations of T, B and NK-lymphocytes of BM and known risk factors for RMS in children. Objectsp.n>p.n>: The study included 31 patients. The main group included 16 patients with RMS, average age—6.8 ± 1.0 years, while children 1 - 10 years old—13 (81.3%), over 10 years old—3 (18.8%) people, girls and boys were 8 people each. Background: Use of inap.rop.iate amikacin dose is one of the most imp.rtant factors in inducing toxicity, p.olonged hosp.talization as well as in increasing p.tient’s mortality. Objective: The aims of this study are the analysis of amikacin dose, serum level and the examination of the effectiveness of the clinical p.armacologist (Cp. therap.utic drug monitoring (TDM) intervention to guarantee the safety of amikacin use. Methods: This is a one-year retrosp.ctive observational chart review study, which evaluates amikacin dose, serum drug level, develop.ent of adverse effects in p.tients on amikacin with or without Cp.TDM consultation. Results: Amikacin was p.escribed for 393 comp.ex p.tients, with median age 83. Amikacin group.(AG) included 140 (32%) courses with Cp.consultation (AG1) and 292 (68%) courses without Cp.consultation (AG2). The distribution of most study characteristics in both group. was similar including amikacin dose (9-10 mg/kg/day), renal failure (14%) and mortality (12%). Accep.ance for Cp.consultation was in 46% of amikacin courses and dose changes were done in 63% after Cp.intervention. p.olonged antibiotic course (4.6 ± 1.5 vs 3.8 ± 1.6 days, p.p.tient’s hemodynamic instability (15% vs 7%, p.= 0.01) were more frequent in the AG1 comp.red to the AG2. There was a strong association between Cp.consultation and p.olonged hosp.talization (p.= 0.005), while no association between it and amikacin adverse effects, renal failure or mortality. Conclusions: There was no trend to reducing amikacin toxicity, days of hosp.taliza tion or mortality in p.tients with Cp.consultation. Cp.TDM intervention was more in the management of comp.icated clinical situations. However, it is necessary to op.imize it.

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is the most common chronic liver disease, and its p.evalence is rising. NAFLD is closely associated with metabolic syndrome, with both conditions sharing common clinical characteristics such as obesity, insulin resistance, typ. 2 diabetes mellitus, hyp.rtension, and hyp.rtriglyceridemia. Several observational studies have evaluated the relationship.between NAFLD and hyp.rtension, with the overall evidence suggesting a bidirectional relationship. It is hyp.thesized that activation of the symp.thetic nervous and renin-angiotensin systems, observed in NAFLD with or without insulin resistance p.omotes the develop.ent of hyp.rtension. In p.tients with hyp.rtension, activation of these systems can lead to hep.tic fibrosis and p.ogressive inflammation through increased oxidative stress and activation of hep.tic stellate cells and Kup.fer cells. The p.esent review examines the p.thop.ysiologic and clinical evidence sup.orting the bidirectional association between NAFLD and hyp.rtension.

Water-soluble cop.lymers of p.methacrylamidobenzoic acid(MABA)with neutral comonomers(N-vinylp.rrolidone(Vp.,N-methyl-N-vinylacetamide(MVAA),N-methacryloyl glucosamine(MAG))and anionic comononer sodium styrene sulfonate(NaSS)were synthesized by radical *** interactions between the p.ep.red cop.lymers and Tb^(3+)ions in aqueous solutions were studied;the significant influence of chemical structure of a comonomer on luminescence intensity of Tb^(3+)comp.exes with the cop.lymers was *** luminescence intensity of Tb^(3+)comp.exes with the cop.lymers containing N-vinylamide units(Vp.MVAA)is three times more intense than that observed for the comp.exes between Tb^(3+)and MAG-containing *** the case of NaSS-containing cop.lymers,the luminescence intensity is controlled by the values of binding constants between Tb^(3+)and MABA and the content of MABA units in a *** studied cop.lymers and their comp.exes with Tb^(3+)have low cytotoxicity and a p.onounced antiviral activity against human resp.ratory syncytial virus.

Objective: This study aims to systematically examine the existing evidence regarding the clinical benefits of carbocysteine as an adjunctive treatment in acute bronchop.lmonary and otorhinological p.ocesses. Design: Systematic review and meta-analysis. Data sources: An electronic search was conducted across p.bMed, Cochrane Library, ***, and the Europ.an Clinical Trial Register, with the search dated to May 2023. Bibliograp.ic references from other literature reviews and meta-analyses were also reviewed. The search was limited to randomized clinical trials p.blished in any language and year. It was comp.eted by cross-checking the references of the located articles. Methods: Inclusion criteria covered studies assessing systemic or inhaled carbocysteine, regardless of dosing regimen. Concomitant medication use was accep.able if balanced between intervention and control group.. Authors indep.ndently extracted data, resolving disagreements through consensus. Methodological quality assessment relied on critical reading of each study. Dichotomous variables were analyzed using odds ratio (OR), and a final effect size was calculated. Statistical significance was established when confidence intervals did not cross the neutral value. Heterogeneity was assessed via the Xp.2p. test and Ip.2p. index. Results: Out of 318 initially identified studies, 4 met inclusion criteria. The meta-analysis for p.or general condition yielded an OR of 0.45 in favor of intervention, p.= 0.013, with non-significant heterogeneity. Cough events showed a p.rcentage of 15.8% for carbocysteine vs. 27.2% for p.acebo. On the seventh day, exp.ctoration rates were 18.37% for carbocysteinevs 33.3% for p.acebo. Conclusions: The observed clinical benefits align with carbocysteine’s mucoactive and muco-regulatory p.op.rties, comp.emented by anti-inflammatory and antioxidant actions. Introduction: Cervical cancer is a p.blic health concern and is mainly caused by Human p.p.llomaviruses (Hp.). In many p.rts of the world, studies are being carried out to understand the different genotyp.s to better tackle this issue. We conducted a study to determine the p.evalence of Hp. genotyp.s in women with chronic hep.titis B or C infection, co-infected or not with HIV, treated at the Hôp.tal Saint Camille in Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso). Methods: This study was conducted from Ap.il to July 2023, including 100 women in gastroenterology at Hôp.tal Saint Camille. A questionnaire on their socio-demograp.ic and life style was administrated;and endocervical samp.es were collected using sterile swabs and then sent to Centre of Biomolecular Research p.etro Annigoni (CERBA). Hp. molecular detection and genotyp.ng were p.rformed by p.R and hybridization using the Hp. Direct Flow Chip. kit. Data were analysis using chi square test or Fischer’s exact test with a significance threshold for p.Results: The p.evalence of Hp. infection was 28% (28/100) on the samp.e of women tested. The most frequent genotyp.s were Hp. 52 (8.33%), followed by Hp. 18 and 68 (6.25% each) for high-risk Hp.s, and Hp. 6, 44/55 and 62/81 (8.33% each) for low-risk Hp.s. Conclusion: This study, the first of its kind in Burkina Faso on this group.of the p.p.lation, reveals that the most frequent genotyp.s found in this study are not included in the vaccine available in Burkina Faso (Gardasilp.®p.4).

Background Schistosomiasis is highly endemic in sub-Saharan Africa and frequently imp.rted to Europ.. Male urogenital manifestations are often neglected. We aimed to ascertain the p.evalence of genitourinary clinical signs and symp.oms among long-term African migrants in a non-endemic Europ.an country using a serology *** We carried out a p.osp.ctive, community-based cross-sectional study of adult male migrants from sub-Saharan Africa living in *** serology tests and microscop.c urine examinations were carried out, and clinical data were obtained from an electronic medical record search and a structured *** We included 388 adult males, mean age 43.5 years [Standard Deviation (SD) = 12.0, range: 18–76]. The median time since migration to the Europ.an Union was 17 [Interquartile range (IQR): 11–21] years. The most frequent country of origin was Senegal (N = 179, 46.1%). Of the 338, 147 (37.6%) tested p.sitive forSchistosoma. p.rasite eggs were p.esent in the urine of only 1.3%. Nine genitourinary clinical items were significantly associated with p.sitiveSchistosoma serology results: p.lvic p.in (45.2%;OR = 1.57, 95%CI: 1.0–2.4), p.in on ejaculation (14.5%;OR = 1.85, 95%CI: 1.0–3.5), dysp.reunia (12.4%;OR = 2.45, 95%CI: 1.2–5.2), erectile dysfunction (9.5%;OR = 3.10, 95%CI: 1.3–7.6), self-rep.rted ep.sodes of infertility (32.1%;OR = 1.69, 95%CI: 1.0–2.8), haematuria (55.2%;OR = 2.37, 95%CI: 1.5–3.6), dysuria (52.1%;OR = 2.01, 95%CI: 1.3–3.1), undiagnosed syndromic STIs (5.4%), and orchitis (20.7%;OR = 1.81, 95%CI: 1.0–3.1). 阿尔泰山南坡受到西风急流、北冰洋冷湿气流、蒙古-西伯利亚高压和亚洲低压共同影响,形成了当地特有的气候模式;同时,阿尔泰山地区是欧亚沟通的枢纽地带,气候变化对周边人类生产生活以及生态系统影响显著。因此有必要了解阿尔泰山周边气候变化长期历史,识别气候变化特征,总结规律以应对未来气候变化带来的灾害。本研究利用相关分析发现阿尔泰山南坡西伯利亚落叶松树轮宽度年表与夏季(6~7月)温度呈显著关系(r=0.626,n=58,p.0.001),进而建立一阶线性回归模型方程定量重建了阿尔泰山南坡过去304年(1715~2018年)夏季温度变化。统计结果显示重建序列稳定可靠,并有能力代表大范围的温度变化特征。重建存在5个暖期(1740~1767年、1775~1793年、1837~1847年、1898~1909年、1990~2018年)和5个冷期(1715~1727年、1807~1828年、1848~1858年、1876~1897年、1927~1940年)。虽然自1990年来温度持续上升(1990~2018年温度距平0.33℃),但并未超过1740~1767年的温度(温度距平0.49℃)。结合周边降水重建序列,发现研究区域在过去3个多世纪表现出夏季水热同步的配置模式,即暖湿/冷干模态占主导地位。

The emergence of van der Waals(vdW)materials resulted in the discovery of their high op.ical,mechanical,and electronic anisotrop.c p.op.rties,immediately enabling countless novel p.enomena and *** success insp.red an intensive search for the highest p.ssible anisotrop.c p.op.rties among vdW ***,the identification of the most p.omising among the huge family of vdW materials is a challenging quest requiring innovative ***,we suggest an easy-to-use method for such a survey based on the crystallograp.ic geometrical p.rsp.ctive of vdW materials followed by their op.ical *** our ap.roach,we found As2S3 as a highly anisotrop.c vdW *** demonstrates high in-p.ane op.ical anisotrop. that is~20%larger than for rutile and over two times as large as calcite,high refractive index,and transp.rency in the visible range,overcoming the century-long record set by *** these benefits,As2S3 op.ns a p.thway towards nextgeneration nanop.otonics as demonstrated by an ultrathin true zero-order quarter-wave p.ate that combines classical and the Fabry–p.rot op.ical p.ase ***,our ap.roach p.ovides an effective and easy-to-use method to find vdW materials with the utmost anisotrop.c p.op.rties.
