Traditionally,urbanization has been seen as a negativ. phenomenon for ***,changes in the env.ronmental parameters induced by urbanization might be fav.rable for some *** the past half-century,the common hamster has activ.ly populated cities,establishing populations in some European,Russian and Kazakhstan *** on integrativ. methods,we inv.stigated free-range common hamsters inhabiting Simferopol from 2015 to 2018 to rev.al possible adaptations to the urbanized env.ronment across sev.ral parameters,including lifespan,hibernation period,reproductiv. activ.ty and body *** show that in urban areas,the common hamster demonstrates an extremely short hibernation period compared to other localities,possibly due to enhanced food resources from urban forestry(walnuts,locus and hazelnut),allowing the species to start breeding v.ry early(February)and finish as late as *** present the first ev.dence of polyandry for this species:mating of receptiv. females with sev.ral males and subsequent confirmation of multiple *** high reproductiv. potential,the lifespan of the common hamster in urban conditions is generally v.ry short(less than 1 year).We speculate that in the process of synurbization,the common hamster’s innate plasticity across many life history traits permits it to successfully colonize throughout a wide range of habitats,with the ability to form nov.l adaptations to urban env.ronments.

The work addresses to the study of the molecular and crystal structure and properties of a new energyintensiv. compound 3,6-bis(2,2,2-trinitroethylnitramino)-1,2,4,5-tetrazine(NBTAT),first obtained by the authors in *** compound crystallizes in the monoclinic system,space group P2(1)/n,density at room temperature 1.939 g/cm^(3).The energies of crystal packing and pairwise intermolecular interactions in NBTAT and its unnitrated analogue BTAT were calculated,and their comparativ. analysis was carried *** enthalpy of formation of NBTAT molecules was calculated by quantum-chemical methods using Gaussian 09,and the enthalpy of formation of NBTAT in the solid phase(618 kJ/mol)was *** energy capabilities of NBTAT as an oxidizer of solid composite propellants are *** is shown that in metal-free compositions NBTAT is significantly superior to ammonium perchlorate(AP),dinitramide ammonium salt(ADN),HMX,BTAT at all stages of rocket systems,and is comparable to the superdense CL-20 yielding to the latter at the lower stages and slightly winning at the upper stages.

Biochemical composition of the glomerular extracellular matrix in patients with diabetic kidney disease

We report the expression profile of acyl-lipid △12-desaturase （desA） gene from Synechocystis sp. PCC6803 and its effect on cell membrane lipid composition and cold tolerance in prokaryotic （Escherichia coil） and eukaryotic （Solanum tuberosum） cells. For this purpose, a hybrid of desA and reporter gene encoding thermostable lichenase （licBM3） was constructed and used to transform these cells. The expression of this hybrid gene was measured using qualitativ. （Petri dish test, electrophoregram and zymogram） and quantitativ. methods （spectrometry and gas liquid chromatography assays）. The maximum lev.l of linoleic acid in the bacterial cells containing hybrid gene was 1.9% of total fatty acids. Cold stress tolerance assays using plant damage index and growth parameters showed that cold tolerance was enhanced in primary transgenic lines because of increased unsaturated fatty acid concentration in their lipids. The greatest content of 18：2 and 18：3 fatty acids in primary transgenic plants was observ.d for lines 2 （73%） and 3 （41%）. Finally, our results showed that desaturase could enhance tolerance to cold stress in potato, and desaturase and lichenase retain their functionality in the structure of the hybrid protein where the enzymatic activ.ty of target gene product was higher than in the case of reporter lichenase gene absence in the construction.

Ov.rloading the intestine enterocytes with lipids induced alteration of the Golgi complex(GC;Sesorov. et al.,2020)and could cause glycosylation ***,using differentiated Caco-2 cells with the established 0[I]blood group phenotype(no expression of the blood antigens A and B[AgA,AgB]under normal conditions)as a model of human enterocytes we examined whether the ov.rloading of these cells with lipids could cause errors in the Golgi-dependent *** demonstrated that under these conditions,there were alterations of the GC and the appearance of lipid droplets in the *** cells produced AgA and *** suggested that after ov.rloading of enterocytes with lipids,AgA were mistakenly synthesized in indiv.dual enterocytes by the Golgi *** mistakes could explain why in the absence of AgA and AgB antibodies against them exist in the blood.

Aberrant expression of alternativ. isoforms of transcription factors in hepatocellular carcinoma

Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) is one of the most prev.lent malignancies worldwide and the second leading cause of death among all cancer types. Deregulation of the networks of tissue-specific transcription factors(TFs) observ.d in HCC leads to profound changes in the hepatic transcriptional program that facilitates tumor progression. In addition, recent reports suggest that substantial aberrations in the production of TF isoforms occur in HCC. In v.tro experiments hav. identified distinct isoform-specific regulatory functions and related biological effects of liv.r-specific TFs that are implicated in carcinogenesis, which may be relev.nt for tumor progression and clinical outcome. This study rev.ews av.ilable data on the expression of isoforms of liv.r-specific and ubiquitous TFs in the liv.r and HCC and their effects, including HNF4α, C/EBPs, p73 and TCF7 L2, and indicates that assessment of the ratio of isoforms and targeting specific TF v.riants may be beneficial for the prognosis and treatment of HCC.
