In this work the process of manufacturing a continuously reinforced.cast Al matrix composite and.its properties are presented. The d.scribed.technology permits obtaining a structural material of competitive properties compared.to either heat treatable aluminum alloys or polymer composites for several types of applications. The examined.thermophysical properties and.structural characterization, includ.ng material anisotropy, coupled.with the results of previous measurements of the mechanical properties of both Al2O3 reinforcing filaments and.metallic prepregs have proven the high quality of this material and.the possibility of its operation und.r special load.ng mod.s and.environmental cond.tions. Microscopic examinations (LM, SEM) were carried.out to reveal the range of morphological homogeneity of the microstructure, the anisotropy of the filament band.d.stribution, and.simultaneously the ad.esive behavior of the metal/fbier interface. The 3d.morphology of the chosen microstructure components was revealed.by computed.tomography. The obtained.results ind.cate that special properties of the examined.prepreg materials have been strongly influenced. on the one hand. by the geometry of its internal microstructure, i.e. spatial d.stribution and.volume fraction of the Al2O3 reinforcing filaments and. on the other hand. by a very good.compatibility obtained.between the ind.vid.al metal prepreg components.

Microbial Phytases and.Phytate: Exploring Opportunities for Sustainable Phosphorus Management in Agriculture

Myo-inositol phosphates (phytates) are important biological molecules prod.ced.largely by plants to store phosphorus. Phytate is very abund.nt in many d.fferent soils making up a large portion of all soil phosphorus. This review assesses current phytase science from the perspective of its substrate, phytate, by examining the intricate relationship between the phytate-hyd.olyzing enzymes and.phytate as their substrate. Specifically, we examine available d.ta on phytate’s structural features, d.stribution in nature and.functional roles. The role of phytases and.their localization in soil and.plant tissues are evaluated. We provid. a summary of the current biotechnological ad.ances in using ind.strial or recombinant phytases to improve plant growth and.animal nutrition. The prospects of future d.scovery of novel phytases with improved.biochemical properties and.bioengineering of existing enzymes are also d.scussed. Two alternative but complementary d.rections to increase phosphorus bioavailability through the more efficient utilization of soil phytate are currently being d.veloped. These approaches take ad.antage of microbial phytases secreted.into rhizosphere either by phytase-prod.cing microbes (biofertilizers) or by genetically engineered.plants. More research on phytate metabolism in soils and.plants is need.d.to promote environmentally friend.y, more prod.ctive and.sustainable agriculture.

17世纪上半叶,通过波兰传教士麦克·卜弥格撰写的著作(《中国植物志》、《中国诊脉秘法》、《中国医药概说》)波兰人第一次接触到了中国习俗、地理、植物、中医等。虽然卜弥格对中国文化“走出去”做出过十分重要的贡献,但因为当时中国政治状况复杂,他去世之后其贡献逐渐被忘记,中国文化研究没得到波兰学者的关注。1948年,波兰著名的汉学家夏白龙才第一次翻译并出版中国长篇小说译作,该作品为老舍的《赵子曰》。毕业于1936年成立的汉学专业的第一代汉学家和译者(赫米耶莱夫斯基、沃伊塔谢维奇、Aleksy d.bnicki、兹比科斯基、Mieczys?aw Künstler等),在20世纪下半叶开始从事汉学研究与中国文学翻译。波兰对中国文学的译介主要分三个阶段:1948-1976,1983-1999,2000-2015。1948-2015期间,翻译成波兰文的中国文学作品有六大种类:古代先秦两汉文学、元明清小说与杂剧、20世纪上半叶现代作家的小说、当代文学与诗歌、政治类文学和当代通俗小说。通过翻译在波兰构建了一种特殊的中国形象:封建男权制社会下受压迫的女性、男性反英雄、政治压迫的受害者及文化博大精深、历史悠久、传统哲学宗教大国。与俄罗斯、法国、英国相比,波兰的汉学史较短,中国文学翻译领域的成就有限。如此的状况与两种因素密切相关:波兰内在因素(1795年因俄罗斯、普鲁士、奥地利的三次瓜分而失去了独立)和外在因素(俄、法、英的地理位置、三国和中国的贸易关系、国际地位、传教士在中国的使命等)。1948-2015期间,波兰共出版了132本(篇)译作。

Mucopolysaccharid.sis type II （MPS II） is a rare X-linked.d.sord.r caused.by alterations in the id.ronate-2-sulfatase （Id.） gene. In this stud., Id. activity in peripheral mononuclear blood.monocytes （PMBCs） was measured.with a fluorimetric enzyme assay. Urinary glycosaminoglycans （GAGs） were quantified.using a colorimetric assay. All Id. exons and.intronic flanks were bid.rectionally sequenced. A total of 15 mutations （all exonic region） were found.in 17 MPS II patients. In this cohort of MPS II patients, all alterations in the Id. gene were caused.by point nucleotid. substitutions or small d.letions. Mutations ***88His and.***172＊ occurred.twice. All mu- tations were inherited.except for ***489Alafs＊7, a germline mutation. We found.four new mutations （***142Phe, ***233Gly, ***430＊, and.***360Tyrfs＊31）. In Epstein-Barr virus （EBV）-immortalized.PMBCs d.rived.from the MPS II patients, no Id. protein was d.tected.in case of the ***142Phe and.***360Tyrfs＊31 mutants. For ***233Gly and.***430＊, we observed.a resid.al expression of Id.. The ***233Gly and.***430＊ mutants had.a resid.ary enzymatic activity that was lowered.by 14.3 and.76-fold. respectively, compared.with healthy controls. This observation may help explain the mild.d.sease phenotype in MPS II patients who had.these two mutations whereas the ***142Phe and.***360Tyrfs＊31 mutations caused.the severe d.sease manifestation.

Background. In ord.r to d.scover new strategies to replace antibiotics in the post-antibiotic era in meat-type chicken prod.ction, two new synbiotics were tested.(Lactobacillus salivarius IBB3154 plus galactooligosaccharid.(Syn1) and.Lactobacillus plantarum IBB3036 plus raffinose family oligosaccharid.s(Syn2).Method.: The synbiotics were ad.inistered.via syringe, using a special automatic system, into the egg air chamber of Cobb 500 broiler chicks on the 12 thd.y of egg incubation(2 mg of prebiotics + 105 cfu bacteria per egg).Hatched.roosters(total 2,400) were reared.on an experimental farm, kept in pens(75 animals per pen), with free access to feed.and.water. After 42 d.animals were slaughtered. Blood.serum, pancreas, d.od.num and.d.od.num content were ***: Syn2 increased.trypsin activity by 2.5-fold.in the pancreas and.1.5-fold.in the d.od.nal content. In the d.od.num content, Syn2 resulted.in ca 30% elevation in lipase activity and.70% red.ction in amylase ***1 and.Syn2 strongly d.creased.expression of m RNA for GLP-1 and.GIP in the d.od.num and.for GLP-1 receptors in the pancreas. Simultaneously, concentrations of the incretins significantly d.minished.in the blood.serum(P d.creased.expression of incretins coincid.s with changed.activity of d.gestive enzymes in the pancreas and.in the d.od.nal content. The results ind.cate that incretins are involved.in the action of Syn1 and.Syn2 or that they may even be their target. No changes were observed.in key hormones regulating metabolism(insulin, glucagon, corticosterone, thyroid.hormones, and.leptin) or in metabolic ind.ces(glucose,NEFA, triglycerid.s, cholesterol). Ad.itionally, synbiotics d.d.not cause significant changes in the activities of alanine and.aspartate aminotransferases in broiler chickens. Anaerobic d.gestion is a process that is wid.ly used.for the treatment of organic wastes. The d.gestate can be used.as a soil amend.ent or crop fertiliser. The aims of our work were to evaluate 1) the physicochemical composition and.pathogen content in a d.gestate from poultry manure, accord.ng to international regulations, and.2) the effect of its soil application on the major chemical and.biological soil properties and.on the growth of Lactuca sativa. The experiment consisted.of two groups of pots(with and.without crop). Treatments applied.to each group were as follows: low and.high d.ses of d.gestate and.inorganic fertiliser, and.no application(control)(low d.se: 70 kg nitrogen(N) ha^(-1) and.21 kg phosphorus(P) ha^(-1); high d.se: 210 kg N ha^(-1) and.63 kg P ha^(-1)). Soil samples were taken 7 and.34 d.harvest) after treatment applications. Heavy metal and.pathogen contents in the d.gestate were below the upper limit values. d.spite the high pH and.electrical cond.ctivity values of the d.gestate, both soil parameters presented.acceptable values for crop growth. Although there were no initial increases in total inorganic N and.available P in soil with d.gestate application, an increase in the fresh weight of crop was observed.with the high d.se application. This is probably associated.with the slow nutrient release from the d.gestate d.ring the d.velopment of the crop. Changes in the microbial community were temporary and.occurred.at the initial sampling stage of the experiment.
