The aim of our study was to explore the antioxidant potential of Moroccan saffron stigmas(SS) and examine their performance as a natural antioxidant in enhancing the stability and quality properties of edible sunflower oil(SO), with a focus on understanding the critical importance of edible oil stability for predicting quality deterioration during storage. Bearing this in mind, our research was designed to compare the efficacy of three concentrations of dried SS(at 0.2%, 0.3%, and 0.6%) against tocobiol(a synthetic antioxidant) as a positive control(at 0.3% concentration). This comparison was conducted under three distinct storage conditions namely accelerated ageing(60 ℃), exposure to light at ambient temperature, and darkness, to evaluate their impact on preventing severe oxidation and extending oil shelf-life. Oxidation state evolution was evaluated through peroxide value(PV), free fatty acid(Ffa), anisidine value(p-AV), K_(270)value(conjugated trienes), total oxidation index(TOTOX), iodine value(IV), and fatty acid composition(fa). Our results revealed notable differences in stability tracking parameters. Specifically, these parameters were higher in samples stored under accelerated conditions, followed by the samples stored in ambient light, while those stored in darkness showed the highest stability among the three storage conditions. Supplementation of sunflower oil with SS and tocobiol significantly enhanced its oxidation stability. Notably, SS exhibited exceptional effectiveness in stabilizing sunflower oil regardless of SS dose, with the highest efficacy observed at 0.6%. This was evidenced by the slower rate of oxidation parameters under various storage conditions, highlighting a superior antioxidant activity compared to both the non-enriched oil and tocobiol-enriched oil. Connexin 43 (CX43) is one of the major components of gap junctions, the structures responsible for the intercellular communication and transmission of the electrical impulse in the left ventricle. There is limited information on the histological changes of CX43 with age and their effect on electrophysiology, especially in humans. Here, we analyzed left ventricular biopsies from living donors starting at midlife to characterize age-related CX43 remodeling. We assessed its quantity, degree of lateralization, and spatial heterogeneity together with fibrotic deposition. We observed no significant age-related remodeling of CX43. Only spatial heterogeneity increased slightly with age, and this increase was better explained by biological age than by chronological age. Importantly, we found that CX43 features varied considerably among individuals in our population with no relevant relationship to age or fibrosis content, in contrast to animal species. We used our experimental results to feed computational models of human ventricular electrophysiology and to assess the effects of interindividual differences in specific features of CX43 and fibrosis on conduction velocity, action potential duration, and arrhythmogenicity. We found that larger amounts of fibrosis were associated with the highest arrhythmic risk, with this risk being increased when fibrosis deposition was combined with a reduction in CX43 amount and/or with an increase in CX43 spatial heterogeneity. These mechanisms underlying high arrhythmic risk in some individuals were not associated with age in our study population. In conclusion, our data rule out CX43 remodeling as an age-related arrhythmic substrate in the population beyond midlife, but highlight its potential as a proarrhythmic factor at the individual level, especially when combined with increased fibrosis.

Skeletal Rearrangement of Substituted Benzaldoxime 3-(2,2-Dichlorovinyl)-2,2-dimethyl Cyclo-propane Carboxylates under EI-MS

Introduction Substituted benzaldoxime 3-(2, 2-dichlorovinyl)-2,2-dimethyl cyclopropanecarboxylates,considered as pyrethroid analogs, show a good bioactivity such as fungicidal, herbicidal and plantgrowth regulating activities[1,2]. EI-MS spectra of those compounds show the rearrangement of their structures, which has prompted us to elucidate their behavior under EI conditions. All the compounds studied have M-165 and M-99 fragment ions in the EI-MS spectra, but there is no segment with the mass of 165 and 99 lost directly from the molecular ions. So we postulated the process of rearrangement, it involved the cleavage of the C2C3 bond in the substituted cyclopropyl accompanied by the migration of disubstitued methylene-amino moiety to C2 or C3 position and elimination of a conjugated group with the mass of 165 or 99 to afford the even electron ion, of which the important step is the cleavage of the N-O bond. Although the cleavage of the alkoxy bond in the pyrethroids[3-5] has been reported, there has been no rearrangement reported. In order to test our postulations, MIKES and EI-HR-MS were carried out to elucidate the fragmentation pathways. The substituents in the phenyl ring played important roles in the stabilization of the product ions. The focal point of our work was to investigate two pathways of the skeletal rearrangement and the effect of the substituents.

目的:构建甘肃省高等教育自学考试多元化评价体系,提高护理专业自学考试教育质量。方法:文献研究甘肃省自学考试发展历史;调研省内自学考试主管部门——甘肃省教育考试院及开展自学考试教育项目的兰州大学、甘肃医学院等高校,访谈相关工作人员;设计问卷调查10家医院494名医护人员、15名教师及251名自考生;构建以技能考核为主的多元化评价体系。结果:自学考试多元化评价可提高考生综合能力,67.73%的自考生和80%的教师支持增加实践技能考核,技能考核需占30%,采用专业核心课程闭卷考试+实践技能考核的评价模式。结论:多元化评价可提高自学考试教育质量,需要进一步推广完善。
