In Egypt,Sofosbuvir(SOF)in combination with Dataclasvir(DCV)is the broadly used DAAs with excellent therapeutic *** study is designed to explore the relation between IL28B/TLR4 genetic variants and each of the followings;HCC development post SOF/DCV treatment,progression to HCC in naı¨ve patients and SOF/DCV therapy outcome.A total of 493 blood samples were collected(controls(n = 70);HCV patients treated with SOF/DCV(n = 252)of whom 65 patients developed HCC,187 patients didn’t develop HCC(125 responders,62 relapsers);naı¨ve HCV patients(n = 171)had early(n = 48),late liver fibrosis(n = 21)and HCC(n = 102)).Both SNPs were genotyped using a TaqMan 50 allelic discrimination *** IL28B rs12979860 SNP,the C allele was significantly correlating with the response rate more than T allele(OR 1.9,95%CI 1.29e2.9,p=0.004),while at TLR4 rs4986791 SNP,no association was found(OR 6.5,95%0.57e75.28,p = 0.09).Both SNPs couldn’t detect the probability for HCC emergence after *** naı¨ve patients,the protective alleles were detected in their lowest frequency in HCC patients(p = 0.1,for rs12979860 and,p = 0.001 for rs4986791).SOF/DCV combination improved SVR rates in HCV genotype 4a infected patients regardless of IL28B genotype,with the best rates in those lacking the T allele.

Indoor localization methods can help many sectors,such as healthcare centers,smart homes,museums,warehouses,and retail malls,improve their service *** a result,it is crucial to look for low-cost methods that can provide exact localization in indoor *** this context,imagebased localization methods can play an important role in estimating both the position and the orientation of cameras regarding an ***-based localization faces many issues,such as image scale and rotation ***,image-based localization’s accuracy and speed(latency)are two critical *** paper proposes an efficient 6-DoF deep-learning model for image-based *** model incorporates the channel attention module and the Scale PyramidModule(SPM).It not only enhances accuracy but also ensures the model’s real-time *** complex scenes,a channel attention module is employed to distinguish between the textures of the foregrounds and *** model adapted an SPM,a feature pyramid module for dealing with image scale and rotation variance ***,the proposed model employs two regressions(two fully connected layers),one for position and the other for orientation,which increases outcome *** on standard indoor and outdoor datasets show that the proposed model has a significantly lower Mean Squared Error(MSE)for both position and *** the indoor 7-Scenes dataset,the MSE for the position is reduced to 0.19 m and 6.25°for the ***,on the outdoor Cambridge landmarks dataset,the MSE for the position is reduced to 0.63 m and 2.03°for the *** to the findings,the proposed approach is superior and more successful than the baseline methods.

Background: Chronic venous ulcers are a serious problem for both patients and physicians. The CEAP classification(clinical manifestations(C), etiologic factors(E), anatomic distribution of disease(A), and underlying pathophysiologic findings(P)) for chronic venous disorders(CVD) was developed in 1994. Published papers on CVD use all or part of the CEAP. Micropunch grafts, which are a variation of skin grafts, have been used with great success in plastic surgery for both esthetic and reconstructive purposes. This study aimed to assess the outcomes of micropunch grafting in the treatment of chronic refractory venous ***: Patients with chronic venous ulcers who did not respond to conservative treatment for more than 6months were included in the study. All patients underwent ulcer coverage by micropunch skin grafts using a micrometer. The patients were discharged on the same day as the surgery. Micropunch skin grafts were manually counted per square centimeter intraoperatively and during follow-up using Dermlite DermatoschopeTM II Pro *** satisfaction was assessed by using a ***: Twenty patients underwent the surgery. Most of the patients were middle-aged males. The ulcers were predominantly small-and medium-sized. The mean operation time was 167.00 ± 86.01 min. After 6 months, the survival rate of the planted micrografts was 84%. Three ulcers had graft loss and two patients had an infection at the ulcer site, which was managed conservatively. The patients were followed-up for 14 ***: Micropunch grafting is a useful and convenient method for the treatment of difficult venous ulcers and can be performed on an outpatient basis.

AIM: To evaluate transient elastography (TE) as a noninvasive tool in staging liver fibrosis compared with liver biopsy and morphometry in children with different chronic liver ***: A total of 90 children [50 with chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV), 20 with autoimmune hepatitis (AIH) and 20 with Wilson disease] were included in the study and underwent liver stiffness measurement (LSM) using TE. Liver biopsies were evaluated for fibrosis, qualitatively, by Ishak score and quantitatively by fibrosis area fraction (FAF) using digital image analysis (morphometry). LSM was correlated with fibrosis and other studied variables using spearman correlation. A stepwise multiple regression analysis was also performed to examine independent factors associated with LSM. Different cut-off values of LSM were calculated for predicting individual fibrosis stages using receiver-operating characteristic curve. Cut-off values with optimal clinical performance (optimal sensitivity and specificity simultaneously) were ***: The majority of HCV group had minimal activity (80%) and no/mild fibrosis (72%). On the other hand, the majority of AIH group had mild to moderate activity (70%) and moderate to severe fibrosis (95%) and all Wilson disease group had mild to moderate activity (100%) and moderate to severe fibrosis (100%). LSM correlated significantly with both FAF and Ishak scores and the correlation appeared better with the latter (r = 0.839 vs 0.879, P kPa) compared to Wilson disease (8.30 ± 0.84 kPa) and HCV groups (7.43 ± 1.73 kPa). Objective: This study investigated cytotoxicity and induction of apoptosis in human cervical cancer cells(HelA) and prostate cancer cells(PC-3) using the most active fraction of Moringa peregrina seed ***: Dried and powdered seeds were extracted using 95% ethanol. The total ethanolic extract was further dissolved in distilled water and separated into petroleum ether, chloroform, ethyl acetate and aqueous extracts. Based on the results of in vitro anticancer studies of all extracts, the most highly active extract was selected for evaluation of apoptosis induction and cell cycle analysis on HelA and PC-3 cells at its half maximal inhibitory concentration using flow cytometry;DNA fragmentation by agarose gel electrophoresis and the expression of protein were measured by Western ***: The chloroform fraction from the ethanolic extract of M. peregrina(CFEE) was the most active antitumor fraction. The selectivity index, determined using the normal Vero cell line, indicated that CFEE had a high degree of selectivity against HelA and PC-3 cells. CFEE induced apoptosis, confirmed by cell cycle arrest at sub-G0 phase and DNA fragmentation. CFEE induced an increase in mRNA expression of caspase-3, a decrease in Bcl-2 mRNA expression, and decreased ATP levels. CFEE increased protein expression of caspase-3 and decreased protein expression of poly-ADP-ribose polymerase-1(PARP-1).Flow cytometric analysis showed an appreciable increase in the number of cells in the early apoptotic stage in CFEE-treated HelA and PC-3 cells. CFEE treatment significantly increased lipid peroxidation(malondialdehyde level) in HelA and PC-3 ***: Seed extract of M. peregrina displayed a significant antitumor effect through apoptosis induction in HelA and PC-3 cells.

Studies have shown that supplementing ruminant diets with vegetable oils modulated the rumen biohydrogenation and increased polyunsaturated fatty acid in their products. These positive values are often accompanied by a marginal loss of supplemented unsaturated fatty acids and rise in the concentrations of saturated fatty acids. This study were carried out mainly to investigate the effect of supplementing diets with sunflower oil, olive oil with or without monensin on the production and accumulation of vaccenic acid(VA) in continuous culture fermenters as a long term in vitro rumen simulation *** dual-flow continuous culture fermenters were used in an 8 replication experiment lasted 10 days each(first 7 days for adaptation and last 3 days for samples collection). Supplementing diets with plant oils and monensin in the present experiment increased VA and conjugated linoleic acids(P > 0.05) in ruminal cultures. The results suggest that supplementing diets with both olive oil and sunflower oil and monensin increased VA accumulation compared to plant oils supplemented alone without affecting the rumen dry matter and organic matter digestibility.

Hydrological mass variations in the Nile River Basin from GRACE and hydrological models

Terrestrial water storage(TWS)change is a key component of the global water cycle and hydrologic ***,it is of significance to quantify TWS variations at large scale and understand how the climate changes affect in the water systems,particularly in the Nile River *** this study,TWS variations in the Nile River Basin are estimated and investigated from January 2003 to August 2016 by using the Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment(GRACE).Also,the Global Land Data Assimilation System(GLDAS)and Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission(TRMM)are used to understand the causes of the TWS variations in the Nile River Basin(NRB).The peak of precipitation has happened in July and *** one month the appearance of the influence of precipitation on soil moisture is *** the other hand,after two months the same effect of precipitation in TWS is *** the peak of soil moisture has occurred in August and September,the maximum of TWS has observed in September and *** maximum annual TWS from GRACE measurements is 42.66 mm in NRB during September-November(autumn),and its minimum is-33.77 mm during March-May(spring).Also,the maximum annual soil moisture is 25.22 mm in NRB during September-November(autumn),and its minimum is-23.34 mm during March-May(spring)while the peak precipitation is 100.11 mm during June-August(summer)and its minimum is 14.62 mm during December-February(winter).The trend of TWS variations in NRB is 0.04 mm/yr from ***,the TWS variations are mainly dominated by the soil moisture in the Nile River Basin with the correlation coefficient of *** addition,the correlation factor between the non-seasonal TWS and ScPDSI is 0.60,indicating that GRACE-derived TWS well capture the most severe droughts occurred in 2006 and 2011.
