This study conducts a systematic literature review(SLR)of blockchain consensus mechanisms,an essential protocols that maintain the integrity,reliability,and decentralization of distributed ledger *** aim is to comprehensively investigate prominent mechanisms’security features and vulnerabilities,emphasizing their security considerations,applications,challenges,and future *** existing literature offers valuable insights into various consensus mechanisms’strengths,limitations,and security vulnerabilities and their real-world ***,there remains a gap in synthesizing and analyzing this knowledge *** this gap would facilitate a structured approach to understanding consensus mechanisms’security and vulnerabilities *** study adheres to Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses(PRISMA)guidelines and computer science standards and reviewed 3749 research papers from 2016 to 2024,excluding grey literature,resulting in 290 articles for descriptive *** research highlights an increased focus on blockchain consensus security,energy efficiency,and hybrid mechanisms within 60%of research papers post-2019,identifying gaps in scalability,privacy,and interoperability for future *** synthesizing the existing research and identifying the key trends,this SLR contributes to advancing the understanding of blockchain consensus mechanisms’security and guiding future research and structured innovation in blockchain systems and applications.

A Novel Auto-Annotation Technique for Aspect Level Sentiment Analysis

In machine learning,sentiment analysis is a technique to find and analyze the sentiments hidden in the *** sentiment analysis,annotated data is a basic ***,this data is manually *** annotation is time consuming,costly and laborious *** overcome these resource constraints this research has proposed a fully automated annotation technique for aspect level sentiment *** is created from the reviews of ten most popular songs on *** of five aspects—voice,video,music,lyrics and song,are *** N-Gram based technique is *** dataset consists of 369436 reviews that took 173.53 s to annotate using the proposed technique while this dataset might have taken approximately 2.07 million seconds(575 h)if it was annotated *** the validation of the proposed technique,a sub-dataset—Voice,is annotated manually as well as with the proposed ***’s Kappa statistics is used to evaluate the degree of agreement between the two *** high Kappa value(i.e.,0.9571%)shows the high level of agreement between the *** validates that the quality of annotation of the proposed technique is as good as manual annotation even with far less computational *** research also contributes in consolidating the guidelines for the manual annotation process.

Trust is one of the core components of any ad hoc network security *** management(TM)has always been a challenging issue in a vehicular *** such developing network is the Internet of vehicles(IoV),which is expected to be an essential part of smart *** originated from the merger of Vehicular ad hoc networks(VANET)and the Internet of things(IoT).Security is one of the main barriers in the on-road IoV *** security standards are insufficient to meet the extremely dynamic and rapidly changing IoV *** plays a vital role in ensuring security,especially during vehicle to vehicle *** networks,having a unique nature among other wireless ad hoc networks,require dedicated efforts to develop trust *** TM schemes are inflexible and *** scenarios and limited parameters are the basis for existing TM models that are not suitable for vehicle *** vehicular network requires agile and adaptive solutions to ensure security,especially when it comes to critical *** vehicle network’s wireless nature increases its attack surface and exposes the network to numerous security ***,internet involvement makes it more vulnerable to *** proposed TM framework is based on context-based cognition and machine learning to be best suited to IoV *** learning is the best solution to utilize the big data produced by vehicle *** handle the uncertainty bayesian machine learning statistical model is *** proposed framework can adapt scenarios dynamically and infer using the maximum possible parameter *** results indicated better performance than existing TM ***,for future work,a high-level machine learning model is proposed.

Cloud computing has gained significant use over the last decade due to its several benefits,including cost savings associated with setup,deployments,delivery,physical resource sharing across virtual machines,and availability of on-demand cloud ***,in addition to usual threats in almost every computing environment,cloud computing has also introduced a set of new threats as consumers share physical resources due to the physical co-location ***,since there are a growing number of attacks directed at cloud environments(including dictionary attacks,replay code attacks,denial of service attacks,rootkit attacks,code injection attacks,etc.),customers require additional assurances before adopting cloud ***,the continuous integration and continuous deployment of the code fragments have made cloud services more prone to security *** this study,the model based on the root of trust for continuous integration and continuous deployment is proposed,instead of only relying on a single signon authentication method that typically uses only id and *** underlying study opted hardware security module by utilizing the Trusted Platform Module(TPM),which is commonly available as a cryptoprocessor on the motherboards of the personal computers and data center *** preliminary proof of concept demonstrated that the TPM features can be utilized through RESTful services to establish the root of trust for continuous integration and continuous deployment pipeline and can additionally be integrated as a secure microservice feature in the cloud computing environment.

In this paper,we propose a robust grid resource broker in an economy-based *** proposed strategy is meant to ensure grid system will be able to accommodate more jobs and deal with user more *** proposed strategy if broker is unable to execute the user job within the user deadline and budget parameters,it gives the options in terms of tentative budget and deadline to the *** of giving discrete options of job accepted or not accepted to the user,broker is able to specify projected deadline and *** can choose the projected deadline and budget which its QoS *** proposed strategy can effectively increase the job submission rate by accepting more jobs that can be executed according to the user specified deadline and allotted ***,this helps in upholding trustworthiness of grid environment.

3,5-bis(arylidene)-4-piperidones as potential dengue protease inhibitors

Dengue is a severe mosquito-borne viral infection causing half a million deaths annually. Dengue virus NS2b/NS3 protease is a validated target for anti-dengue drug design. A series of hitherto unreported 3,5-bis(arylidene)-4-piperidones analogues 4a4j were synthesized and screened in silico against DENV2 NS2b/NS3 protease to elucidate their binding mechanism and orientation around the active sites. Results were validated through an in vitro DENV2 NS2b/NS3 protease assay using a fluorogenic boc-Gly-Arg-Arg-AMC substrate. Nitro derivatives of 3,5-bis(arylidene)-4-piperidones (4e and 4j) emerged as promising lead molecules for novel protease inhibitors with an ICb>50b> of 15.22 and 16.23 µmol/L, respectively, compared to the standard, panduratin A, having ICb>50b> of 57.28 µmol/L.

Defects detected during the Defects Liability Period of a construction project suggest that the project management team have not managed the project effectively somewhere during the project implementation ***,especially those with little project management experience are usually at a lost in trying to configure how this should be dealt *** issue relating to construction defects can be vexing and time consuming,but clients are frequently pressed for time to occupy and operate the ***,they unusually end up rectifying most of the defects themselves and at their own *** appreciating the need to resolve this continuing problem in design and build public hospital construction projects in Malaysia,a research was mooted to learn from the study of defects and investigate how best defects can be *** study aim is to understand the nature of the defects to track their root *** Malaysian public hospitals are chosen as the case *** structured interview with the senior hospital management representatives were conducted to understand the reasons underpinning the *** findings suggest that with a comprehensive methodology in place,defects can be effectively traced and categorized to track their *** this is in place,clients can have better recourse to address the issue of defects,particularly with respect to how the defects can be managed,who should be responsible and what not to be repeated in future.

Managing Road Maintenance Using Geographic Information System Application

The development and economic growth of a nation is closely related to its available transportation system. Good and efficient road transport infrastructure facilities will promote industrial and socio-economic development. To provide safety and comfort to road users, a comprehensive road maintenance schedule must be formulated and adopted to ensure those roads are in good condition at all times. Preventive maintenance works, such as road rehabilitation will help to reduce the major road repairs and expenditure. Prior to this, a good database, gathered through GIS will be necessary in order to ensure maintenance is done effectively. Geographic Information System (GIS) is said to be one of the useful tools that can be utilized to manage database in road maintenance engineering. This system is capable of storing, managing, analyzing, computing and displaying all forms of geographical data for road maintenance works. In this study, the author has adopted GIS application software – ArcView, and has reviewed and analyzed its effectiveness in managing road database. These data are then used to assist the management to ensure effective and systematic road maintenance. A typical model of roads in Penang, Malaysia is used as a case study to further clarify the application of GIS in road maintenance.

Effect of Plumeria alba＇s bioactive Extract against Colletotrichum gleosporoides in Vitro and in Vivo

Plant species in the genus Plumeria of Apocynaceae family are well known for their uses in traditional medicine antimicrobial activity. Plant materials from P. alba were extracted using Soxhlet apparatus and screened for the control of anthracnose disease caused by Colletotrichum gleosporoides on fruit during post harvest storage. For in vitro, the crude extract of P. alba （stem bark and leaves） were completely inhibited conidial germination （sporulation test method） of Colletotrichum gleosporoides at all concentration tested except the lowest concentration （4.4 uL）. In vivo studies show that percentage of infection on fruit after treated with both stem bark （11.11 ± 3.8） and leaves （15.55 ± 3.8） part, at 32,000 mg/L have no significant differences during seven days of storage at ambient temperatures. These results proved that P. alba extracted （stem bark and leaves） were found to be promising as an antifungal agent and to control anthracnose disease in fruits tested.
