We propose a mathematical model of the coronavirus disease 2019(CoVID-19)to investigate the transmission and control mechanism of the disease in the community of *** stability theory of differential equations,the qualitative behavior of model is *** pandemic indicator represented by basic reproductive number R0 is obtained from the largest eigenvalue of the next-generation *** as well as global asymptotic stability conditions for the disease-free and pandemic equilibrium are obtained which determines the conditions to stabilize the exponential spread of the ***,we examined this model by using Atangana–Baleanu fractional derivative operator and existence criteria of solution for the operator is *** consider the data of reported infection cases from April 1,2020,till April 30,2020,and parameterized the *** have used one of the reliable and efficient method known as iterative Laplace transform to obtain numerical *** impacts of various biological parameters on transmission dynamics of CoVID-19 is *** results are based on different values of the fractional parameter and serve as a control parameter to identify the significant strategies for the control of the *** the end,the obtained results are demonstrated graphically to justify our theoretical findings.

Recent advances on flexible electrodes for Na-ion batteries and Li–S batteries

Flexible energy storage devices are essential for emerging flexible electronics. The existing state-of-the-art Li-ion batteries are slowly reaching their limitation in terms of cost and energy density. Hence, flexible Na-ion batteries (SIBs) with abundanee Na resources and Li-S batteries with high energy density become the alternative for the Li-ion batteries in future. This review summarizes the recent advances in the development of flexible electrode materials for SIBs with metallic matrix and carb on aceous matrix such as carb on nano-tubes, carbon nano-fiber, graphene, carbon cloth, carbon fiber cloth, and cotton textiles. Then, the potential prototype flexible full SIBs are discussed. Further, the recent progress in the development of flexible electrode materials for Li-S batteries based on carb on nano-fiber, carb on nano-tubes, graphene, and cotton textiles is reviewed. Moreover, the design strategies of suitable interlayer, separator, electrolyte, and electrodes to prevent the dissolution and shuttle effect of polysulfides in flexible Li-S batteries are provided. Finally some prospective investigation trends towards future research of flexible SIBs and Li-S batteries are also proposed and discussed. The scientific and engineering knowledge gained on flexible SIBs and Li-S batteries provides conceivable development for practical application in near future.

Tuning the electronic structure of the earth-abundant electrocatalysts for oxygen evolution reaction(oER)to achieve efficient alkaline water splitting-A review

Tuning the electronic structure of the electrocatalysts for oxygen evolution reaction(oER)is a promising way to achieve efficient alkaline water splitting for clean energy production(H2).At first,this paper introduces the significance of the tuning of electronic structure,where modifying the electronic structure of the electrocatalysts could generate active sites having optimal adsorption energy with oER intermediates,and that could diminish the energy barrier for oER,and that could improve the activity for ***,this paper reviews the tuning of electronic structure along with catalytic performances,synthetic methodologies,chemical properties,and DFT calculations on various nanostructured earth-abundant electrocatalysts for oER in alkaline ***,this review discusses the tuning of the electronic structure of the several nanostructured earth-abundant electrocatalysts including oxide,(oxy)hydroxide,layered double hydroxide,alloy,metal phosphide/phosphate,nitride,sulfide,selenide,carbon containing materials,MoF,core-shell/hetero/hollow structured materials,and materials with vacancies/defects for oER in alkaline environment(including activity:overpotential(η)of ≤200 mV at10 m A cm^(-2);stability:≥100 h;durability:≥5000 cycles).Then,this review discusses the robust stability of the electrocatalysts for oER towards practical ***,this review discusses the in situ formation of thin layer on the catalyst surface during *** addition,this review discusses the influence of the adsorption energy of the oER intermediates on oER performance of the ***,this review summarizes the various promising strategies for tuning the electronic structure of the electrocatalysts to achieve enhanced performance for oER in alkaline environment.

Aqueous suspension of anise “Pimpinella anisum” protects rats against chemically induced gastric ulcers

AIM： To substantiate the claims of Unani and Arabian traditional medicine practitioners on the gastroprotective potential effect of a popular spice anise, ＂Pimpinella anisum L.＂ on experimentally-induced gastric ulceration and secretion in rats. METHoDS： Acute gastric ulceration in rats was produced by various noxious chemicals including 80% ethanol, 0.2 mol/L NaoH, 25% NaCI and indomethacin. Anti-secretory studies were undertaken using pylorusligated Shay rat technique. Levels of gastric non-protein sulfhydryls （NP-SH） and wall mucus were estimated and gastric tissue was also examined histologically. Anise aqueous suspension was used in two doses （250 and 500 mg/kg body weight） in all experiments. RESULTS： Anise significantly inhibited gastric mu- cosal damage induced by necrotizing agents and indomethacin. The anti-ulcer effect was further confirmed histologically. In pylorus-ligated Shay rats, anise suspension significantly reduced the basal gastric acid secretion, acidity and completely inhibited the rumenal ulceration. on the other hand, the suspension significantly replenished ethanol-induced depleted levels of gastric mucosal NP-SH and gastric wall mucus concentration. CoNCLUSIoN： Anise aqueous suspension possesses significant cytoprotective and anti-ulcer activities against experimentallynduced gastric lesions. The anti-ulcer effect of anise is possibly prostaglandin-mediated and/orthrough its anti-secretory and antioxidative properties.

Isolated antibody to hepatitis B core antigen in patients with chronic hepatitis C virus infection

AIM： To evaluate the prevalence of isolated anti-HBc in patients with chronic hepatitis C virus （HCV） infection, and its relation to disease severity. METHoDS： We screened all patients with chronic HCV infection referred to King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center for hepatitis B surface antigen （HBsAg）, antibody to hepatitis B surface antigen （anti- HBs）, and anti-HBc. one hundred and sixty nine patients who tested negative for both HBsAg and anti-HBs were included in this study. RESULTS： Pathologically, 59 had biopsy-proven cirrhosis and 110 had chronic active hepatitis （CAH）. of these 169 patients, 85 （50.3%） tested positive for anti-HBc. Patients with CAH had significantly higher prevalence of isolated anti-HBc than patients with cirrhosis, 71 （6d.5%） and 14 （23.7%） respectively （P 〈 0.001）. Twenty-five patients were tested for HBV DNA by qualitative PCR. The test was positive in 3 of them （12%; occult HBV infection）. CoNCLUSIoN： Isolated anti-HBc alone is common in Saudi patients with chronic HCV infection, and is significantly more common in those with CAH than those with cirrhosis. Therefore, a screening strategy that only tests for HBsAg and anti-HBs in these patients will miss a large number of individuals with isolated anti-HBc, who may be potentially infectious.

Ultrasound-guided transrectal extended prostate biopsy:a prospective study

Aim:To evaluate the diagnostic value of the 10 systematic transrectal ultrasound-guided (TRUS) prostate biopsy compared with the sextant biopsy technique for patients with suspected prostate ***:one hundred and fifty-two patients with suspected prostate cancer were included in the *** were entered in the study because they presented with high levels of prostate specific antigen (PSA) (over 4 ng/mL) and/or had undergone an abnormal digital rectal examination (DRE).In addition to sextant prostate biopsy cores,four more biopsies were obtained from the lateral peripheral zone with additional cores from each suspicious area revealed by transrectal ***,lateral peripheral zone and suspicious area biopsy cores were submitted separately to the patho- logical ***:Cancer detection rates were 27.6 % (42/152) and 19.7 % (30/152) for the 10-core and sextant core biopsy protocols,*** the lateral peripheral zone (PZ) to the sextant prostate biopsy showed a 28.6 % (12/42) increase in the cancer detection rate in patients with positive prostate cancer (Pon rate in patients who presented with elevated PSA was 29.3 % (34/116).When serum PSA was 4-10 ng/mL TRUS-guided biopsy detected cancer in 20.6 %,while the detection rate was 32.4 % and 47.0 % when serum PSA was 10-20 ng/mL and above 20 ng/mL,***:The 10 systematic TRUS-guided prostate biopsy improves the detection rate of prostate cancer by 28.6 % when compared with the sextant biopsy technique alone,without increase in the *** therefore recommend the 10-core biopsy protocol to be the preferred method for early detection of prostate cancer.

It is well known that the nonparametric estimation of the regression function is highly sensitive to the presence of even a small proportion of outliers in the *** solve the problem of typical observations when the covariates of the nonparametric component are functional,the robust estimates for the regression parameter and regression operator are *** main propose of the paper is to consider data-driven methods of selecting the number of neighbors in order to make the proposed processes fully *** use thek Nearest Neighbors procedure(kNN)to construct the kernel estimator of the proposed robust *** some regularity conditions,we state consistency results for kNN functional estimators,which are uniform in the number of neighbors(UINN).Furthermore,a simulation study and an empirical application to a real data analysis of octane gasoline predictions are carried out to illustrate the higher predictive performances and the usefulness of the kNN approach.

Implementation Study of Dynamic Load Balancing Algorithm of Parallel Tree Computation on Clusters of Heterogeneous Workstation

The rapid growth of interconnected high performance workstations has produced a new computing paradigm called clustered of workstations computing. In these systems load balance problem is a serious impediment to achieve good performance. The main concern of this paper is the implementation of dynamic load balancing algorithm, asynchronous Round Robin (ARR), for balancing workload of parallel tree computation depth-first-search algorithm on Cluster of Heterogeneous Workstations (CoW) Many algorithms in artificial intelligence and other areas of computer science are based on depth first search in implicitty defined trees. For these algorithms a load-balancing scheme is required, which is able to evenly distribute parts of an irregularly shaped tree over the workstations with minimal interprocessor communication and without prior knowledge of the tree’s shape. For the (ARR) algorithm only minimal interprocessor communication is needed when necessary and it runs under the MPI (Message passing interface) that allows parallel execution on heterogeneous SUN cluster of workstation platform. The program code is written in C language and executed under UNIX operating system (Solaris version).

Antimicrobial activity of Sapindus mukorossi and Rheum emodi extracts against H pylori: In vitro and in vivo studies

AIM： To evaluate the antibacterial activity of Sapindus mukorossi （S. mukorossl） and Rheum emodi （R. emodl）. METHoDS： Powders of S. mukorossi and R. emodi were extracted successively with petroleum ether, benzene, chloroform and ethanol and were concentrated in vacuum. The disk diffusion method was used for in vitro studies and in vivo studies were performed on male Wister rats. Thirty resistant clinical isolates of H pylon, as determined by their antibiotic sensitivity patterns by E-test, along with two Gram ＋ve （S. aureus, B. subtilis） and two Gram -ve （E. coli, P. vugaris） organisms were screened for their susceptibility patterns against these extracts. RESULTS： In our screening, all 30 resistant isolates and the other four organisms （two Gram ＋ve S. aureus, B. subtilis and two Gram -ve, E. coli, P. vugaris） were sensitive to the test compounds. It was found that ethanol and chloroform extracts of S. mukorossi and ethanol and benzene extracts of R. emodi inhibited Hpylori at very low concentrations, In the in vitro study, the isolates showed a considerable zone of inhibition at very low concentrations （10 μg/mL） for both the extracts. In the in vivo study, the H pylori infection was cleared with minimal doses of extracts of S. mukorossi （2.5 mg/mL） and R. emodi （3.0 mg/mL） given orally for seven days. CoNCLUSIoN： We can conclude from this study that the extracts of S. mukorossi and R. emodi inhibited the growth of pylori in vitro and, in in vivo studies, the H pylori infection cleared within seven days at very low concentrations. We also found that H pylori did not acquire resistance against these herbal extracts even after 10 consecutive passages.

Comparative assessment of agricultural technology generating practices in universities and research institutes in north central zone of Nigeria

To understand the technology generating practices among universities and research institutes in north central zone of Nigeria,this study examined sources of funds for technology generating activities,compared agro-technology generating practices and identified constraining factors hindering technology generating *** hundred and fifty-two academic staff were randomly selected from universities and one hundred and thirty-six respondents were drawn from research *** questionnaires with reliability coefficient of r=0.92 were used to elicit *** were analyzed using descriptive statistics,Likert-scale,T-test and Factor ***(93.4%)of universities’respondents used their personal funds to generate new technology compared to their counterparts in research *** most widely employed mechanism for generating agricultural technologies was joint radio programmes(mean=3.38)while the least was biotechnology(mean=2.57).Major areas of differences in technology generation between the two institutions were the physical distance(t=13.54;Pon in field research trials(t=8.50;Po-finance of adaptive research trials(t=3.77;Po workers(t=2.05;Pors constraining technology generation for universities were poor access to knowledge and information on new innovation(r=0.815)while for research institutes it was limited physical resources(ICT,Telephone)(r=0.801).It was recommended therefore that respondents should look into options of writing alternate fund proposals and submitting to a wider range of funding *** of innovation could be strengthened through the formation of a formal technological linkage advisory council.
