A greenhouse experiment was conducted to evaluate the comparison of nutrient use efficiency,antioxidant assay,and nutritional quality of butter-head lettuce in five cultivation *** this experimental study,a split-boxes experimental arrangement in a completely randomized design(CRD)with three aeroponics systems(high pressure(T1),low pressure(T2),and ultrasonic nozzle(T3)),hydroponic system(T4),and conventional cultivation system(T5)was *** analyses of variance(ANOVA)were employed to assess yield,chlorophyll content,relative water content(RWC),nutrient use efficiency(NUE),2,2-Diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl(DDPh),hydrogen Peroxide(h2O2),Ferric Reducing Antioxidant Power(FRAP),total phenolic(TPC),flavonoid content(TFC)and nutritional quality of butter-head *** experimental comparative results indicated that the shoot and root(fresh and dry)weight,root-to-shoot ratio,chlorophyll contents,CWC,NUE,DDPh,h 2O 2,FRAP,TPC,TFC,nitrate,vitamin C,and protein level were significantly(phigher in T 2 treatment,and the values were significantly(pmentioned earlier,the median values of the above-mentioned parameters were measured in aeroponics systems with low-pressure nozzle(T 3).It also found a strong positive correlation(r>0.7)among the Shoot(FW),Chlorophyll,RWC,NUE,and among TPC,TFC,DDPh,h 2O 2,and *** study demonstrates that butter-head lettuce grown in aeroponics systems with high-pressure nozzles may serve as a potential dietary source and is rich in natural antioxidants.

Among the crop production factors,preceding crop and tillage management affect the sustainable use of soil resources and ultimately crop growth and *** study aimed at investigating the impact of preceding winter crops(grass or legume)and different tillage systems on forage yield,quality and nutritive values of three summer grass(Sudan grass,pearl millet and teosinte)and two legume forage crops(cowpea and guar)under arid *** results exhibited that growing forage crops after legumes(as berseem clover)produced the highest fresh and dry forage yields and quality attributes compared with grasses(as wheat)with the exception of crude fiber content,which was ***,tillage practices showed positive impact on forage yields and quality *** maximum forage yields and quality parameters were recorded under conventional tillage(CT)practice compared with reduced tillage(RT)and no-tillage(NT)*** the evaluated crops,the highest yields of fresh forage,dry forage,crude fiber,crude protein and total digestible nutrient were exhibited by grass forage crops(Sudan grass,pearl millet and teosinte),whereas the highest crude protein content and the digestible energy values were produced by legume forage crops(cowpea and guar).The maximum fresh forage,dry forage,crude fiber,crude protein,total digestible nutrient and digestible crude protein yields were produced by pearl millet followed by Sudan grass under CT and RT after berseem *** highest net return was recorded by sowing pearl millet after berseem clover and applying CT followed by RT practices,which could be recommended for the commercial ***,it could be assumed that the combination of growing grass forage crops after legume crops under CT or RT systems could enhance forage crop yield and quality with an improvement in soil properties for sustainable agriculture with low cost and the highest net income.

The Salvadora persica(***)*** stick,usually known as miswak,is still being em-ployed as an oral hygiene agent for plaque and gingivitis *** study aims to assess the antibacterial,antibiofilm,antioxidant,and phytochemical profile of *** *** ***-sica was purchased from a local market,grinded and extracted with petroleum *** disk dif-fusion,microdilution,and micro-plate assays were performed to evaluate the antibacterial and an-tibiofilm activities of the prepared extract at different concentrations against𝛽-lactam resistance Streptococcus *** radical scavenging 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl(DPPh)and stable radical cationic chromophore,2,2-azinobis-(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonate)(ABTS)methods were used to determine their antioxidant *** and spectrometric analyses were performed using gas chromatography-mass(GC-mS)*** minimum inhibitory concentration(mIC)of *** extract against𝛽-lactam resistance Streptococcus species ranged from 6.25 to 12.5 mg/*** maximum suppression of biofilm formation by *** extract was observed at mIC with a percentage of 68.66%,against Streptococcus *** *** ex-tract exhibited antioxidant activity with IC 50 of 20μg/mL and 35μg/mL from DPPh and ABTS,*** phytochemical characterization showed the presence of 22 compounds with ma-jor compounds;benzyl isothiocyanate(36.21%)and n-hexadecanoic acid(27.62%).The *** extract exhibited antibacterial activity against𝛽-lactam resistant Streptococcus species,showing a promising natural alternative that could be a treatment option.

Occupant-centric control (OCC) strategies rely on different algorithms to learn and predict occupants’ patterns and preferences, then utilize these predictions to optimize building operations. however, testing different OCC algorithms or fine-tuning their configurations in real buildings can be a lengthy process. To this end, we present a framework for testing OCCs in a simulation environment prior to field implementation. The proposed workflow entails using synthetic occupant behaviour models and simulating OCC strategies to learn their preferences. The goal is to enable quick comparison of different OCC configurations under various scenarios by modifying occupant behaviour assumptions, as well as climate and design parameters. For proof-of-concept, the proposed method was applied in a case-study to simulate OCCs for lighting and heating/cooling setpoint adjustments in a single office under various occupant types, as well as OCC settings and design configurations. Results demonstrated the benefits of the proposed framework and its potential for providing a more holistic evaluation of OCCs under different scenarios. Using the proposed framework, building designers and operators can identify potential issues with OCCs and fine-tune their settings prior to field implementation.

Triple Negative Breast Cancer(TNBC)immunotherapy has recently shown promising ***,some TNBC patients presented with *** of the reasons was attributed to the excessive release of cytokines at the tumor microenvironment(TmE)such as Tumor necrosis factor alpha(TNF-α)and Interleukin-10(IL-10).Fine regulation of these cytokines’levels via non-coding RNAs(ncRNAs)might alleviate the immune quiescent nature of TmE at TNBC ***,the extrapolation of ncRNAs as therapeutic tools is highly ***,disentanglement the nature for the isolation of natural compounds that could modulate the ncRNAs and their respective targets is an applicable translational therapeutic ***,this study aimed to targeting the chief immune suppressive cytokines at the TmE(TNF-αand IL-10)via ncRNAs and to examine the effects of Rosemary aerial parts extract on the expression levels of these ncRNAs in *** revealed miR-17-5p as a dual regulator of TNF-αand ***,an intricate interaction has been shown between miR-17-5p and the oncogenic lncRNAs:mALAT1 and *** down of mALAT1 and/or h19 caused an induction in miR-17-5p and reduction in TNF-αand IL-10 expression ***-17-5p was found to be down-regulated,while TNF-α,IL-10,mALAT1 and h19 were up-regulated in BC *** expression of miR-17-5p in mDA-mB-231 cells reduced TNF-α,IL-10,mALAT1 and h19 expression levels,as well as several BC *** a translational approach,ursolic acid(UA)isolated from rosemary induced the expression of miR-17-5p,mALAT1 and decreased h19 expression *** conclusion,this study suggests miR-17-5p as a tumor suppressor and an immune-activator miRNA in BC through tuning up the immunological targets TNF-α,IL-10 at the TmE and the oncological mediators mALAT1 and h19 lncRNAs.

Upper Footprint Dependent Nipple Position to Avoid high-Riding Nipple after Reduction mammoplasty

Introduction: high-riding nipple following reduction mammoplasty is a challenging problem for the plastic surgeons. To avoid such problem, many methods have been described for marking the correct nipple position but still controversial. We aimed in this study to present our experience in preventing excessive nipple elevation after reduction mammoplasty by using the upper footprint to set the new nipple position. material and methods: From march 2019 to march 2022, 25 female patients at a mean age of 38.3 years were included in this prospective study. They underwent reduction mammoplasty with inverted T scar and a combination of inferior pedicle and Würinger’s septum techniques. Resection weights, pre- and postoperative anthropometric measures were recorded. All patients were photographed at the follow-up visits and evaluated for complications if any, the nipple-areola complex (NAC) sensation, and subjective patient satisfaction using “The Breast Evaluation Questionnaire”. Results: The mean preoperative midclavicular point to nipple distance was 37.40 and 37.18 cm for the right and left breasts, respectively. The mean resection weight was 1270 and 1242 g from the right and left sides, respectively. None of our patients experienced NAC necrosis, while 2 breasts had minor wound dehiscence treated conservatively. After a mean follow-up period of 12 months, the NAC descended by an average of 1.40 cm, the distance from the ImF to nipple had an average increase of 2.24 cm, and all of patients were satisfied with the esthetic outcomes and convinced with their breast shape. Conclusion: The upper footprint dependent nipple position seems to have a real role in preventing high-riding nipple after breast reduction in hypertrophic and gigantomastic breasts. moreover, it can be applied easily and allow for more satisfying outcomes than other methods for setting the new nipple position.

New Polymer Syntheses Part 60: A Facile Synthetic Route to Polyamides Based on Thieno[2,3-b]thiophene and Their Corrosion Inhibition Behavior

Polyamides containing thieno[2,3-b]thiophene moiety were prepared via a simple polycondensation reaction of the diaminothieno[2,3-b]thiophene monomer la with different kinds of diacid chlorides （including oxalyl, adipoyl, sebacoyl, isophthaloyl, terephthaloyl, 4,4＇-azodibenzoyl, 3,3＇-azodibenzoyl, p-phenylene diacryloyl） in the presence of LiC1 and NmP as a solvent through lowtemperature solution polycondensation. The chemical structures of model compound and synthesized polyamides were confirmed by FTIR, nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy （including 1 h-NmR and 13 C-NmR） and elemental analysis. In addition, the thermal stability, crystallinity structure and surface morphology of synthesized polyamides were characterized via thermogravametric analysis （TGA）, wide-angle X-ray diffraction analysis （WAXD） and scanning electron microscopy （SEm）. Also, the corrosion inhibition behavior of selected examples ofpolyamides was investigated; the inhibitive effect of the investigated polymers for carbon steel in 1.0 mol＇L-1 hCI was studied using potentiodynamic polarization （PDP） and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy （EIS） methods. PDP results displayed that the polyamides containing thieno[2,3-b]thiophene moiety can be as mixed-type inhibitors. The inhibition efficiency （P, %） was found to be in the range from 67.13% to 96.01%. There is an increase in P by the synthesized polymers in comparison to the starting monomer. The adsorption of these polymers was found to obey Langmuir adsorption isotherm.

Role of multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging in the diagnosis and staging of urinary bladder cancer

Objectives:To assess the role of multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging(mp-mRI)in the diagnosis and staging of urinary bladder cancer(BC).materials and methods:Fifty patients diagnosed with bladder masses underwent mp-mRI *** results of 3 image sets were analyzed and compared with the histopathological results as a reference standard:T2-weighted image(T2WI)plus dynamic contrast-enhanced(DCE),T2WI plus diffusion-weighted images(DWI),and mp-mRI,including T2WI plus DWI and *** diagnostic accuracy of mp-mRI was evaluated using receiver operating characteristic curve ***:The accuracy of T2WI plus DCE for detecting muscle invasion of BC was 79.5%with a fair agreement with histopathological examination(κ=0.59);this percentage increased up to 88.6%using T2WI plus DWI,with good agreement with histopathological examination(κ=0.74),whereas mp-mRI had the highest overall accuracy(95.4%)and excellent agreement with histopathological data(κ=0.83).multiparametric mRI can differentiate between low-and high-grade bladder tumors with a high sensitivity and specificity of 93.3%and 98.3%,***:multiparametric mRI is an acceptable method for the preoperative detection and accurate staging of BC,with reasonable accuracy in differentiating between low-and high-grade BC.

A newly developed heuristic global optimization algorithm,called gravitational search algorithm(GSA),was introduced and applied for simultaneously coordinated designing of power system stabilizer(PSS) and thyristor controlled series capacitor(TCSC) as a damping controller in the multi-machine power *** coordinated design problem of PSS and TCSC controllers over a wide range of loading conditions is formulated as a multi-objective optimization problem which is the aggregation of two objectives related to damping ratio and damping *** minimizing the objective function with oscillation,the characteristics between areas are contained and hence the interactions among the PSS and TCSC controller under transient conditions are *** evaluation of effectiveness and robustness of proposed controllers,the performance was tested on a weakly connected power system subjected to different disturbances,loading conditions and system parameter *** eigenvalues analysis and nonlinear simulation results demonstrate the high performance of proposed controllers which is able to provide efficient damping of low frequency oscillations.
