Eight novel Schiff Bases, from 6,6′-diformyl-2,2′-bipyridyl (1a, 43%)with O, N, S and F containing amines: Thiosemicarbazide (2a, 70%), 4-Ethyl-3-thiosemicabazide (2b, 75%), 4,4-Dimethyl-3-thio-semicarbazide (2c, 75%), S-benzyldithiocarbazide, SBDTC (2d, 80%), (Trifluromethyl) phenylhy-drazine (2e, 80%), 4-Phenyl-3-thiosemcarbazide (2f, 80%), Thiocarbazide (2g, 70%), 2-Amino-thiophenol (2h, 65%), have been synthesized. The conventional method of synthesis of the Schiff bases involves refluxing the reaction mixture containing the diformyls and amines for 1 hour. The solid products that had formed were filtered off using suction filtration. In few reactions, 2 - 3 drops of conc. sulfuric acid were used to obtain high yield. The structures of all eight novel synthesized compounds have fully been characterized by spectroscopic (IR, NMR, MS) methods.

＜正＞The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of total and partial substitution of dietary wheat flour（WF） by macaroni wastes（MW） on growth and feed conversion ratio（FCR） of rainbow trout,Oncorhynchus *** iso-nitrogenous and iso-energetic diets replacing 0,5, 10 and 15 percent WF by MW were *** diet was randomly allocated to 4 groups of fish in 12 cages and each cage was stocked with 25 fish（initial weight 125±3g）.Fish were fed twice daily for 7 *** water temperature ranged from 17 to 19℃and dissolved oxygen concentration was measured as 7 - 7.9 ppm during the experimental *** was no mortality over the course of the *** results of the present study shows that partial or total substitution of WF with MW in diets of the fish does not affect growth and feed efficiency. Although there were no significant differences（p＞0.05） in body weight gain（BWG） and feed efficiency among all treatments,but numerically,the lowest（219.43g/fish） and highest （228.39g/fish） weight gain were found with fish fed 15%MW and 10%MW diets,respectively. After 7 weeks of rearing,when the fish reached a size of around 219 grams,the lowest（1.29） and highest（1.43） feed efficiencies were in fish fed 15%WF（control） and 10%MW diets, *** results were also obtained for specific growth rate（SGR） data,that means, there were no significant differences in SGR between the control fish and that of fish fed the test ***,unlike BWG and FCR,the lowest（1.099） and highest（1.55） SGR were in the fish fed 15%WF and 5%MW *** is concluded that replacing up to 15%of WF with MW in the feeds of rainbow trout until the size of 228.39g has no marked effect on its growth performance.

Designing of surgical arm rest carrying smart materials is based upon a new and innovative idea of using novel smart material i.e. magnetorheological fluid （MR Fluid） in surgical arm rests. MR fluid was previously used in automotive industry for providing smooth movements to cars and is best known for its unique solidifying behavior on application of magnetic field. The fluid is practical, price effective and provides easy to use mechanism when applied to arm rest in the form of small solidifying pockets. The smart material based arm rest will provide great help to surgeons in long operations and surgeries which cause an extra amount of pressure on a surgeon’s ulnar nerve, increases the numbness in arm, loss of sense and feeling in the performer’s arm, reduced steadiness during a surgery, lack of stationary movements and failure of holding capabilities which is a key to any successful surgery. Usage of stainless steel makes the arm rest less corrosive, unsubstantial in weight and reusable. Easy clamping of the arm rest to the railing of operating table makes it portable and unobtrusive in the theatre. Usage of screws, pins and notches are avoided during the designing of arm rest, this is done to reduce the chances of equipment’s failure giving it a long lasting and highly reusable approach. The surgical arm rest carrying magnetorheological fluid provides complete freedom of movements to the surgeon with solidification when required using a single button resulting in a safe, secure, cost effective and a steady hand smooth surgery.

Soil microbiome plays an imperative role due to their multifunctional activities including suppression of soil-borne *** sclerotiorum is a notorious soil-borne pathogen of various important crops and produce sclerotia to survive within soil for long *** is enriched in carbohydrates,fats,proteins and chitin which can be utilized by microbes to obtain nutrients required for their optimum *** in view the sclerotia as a nutritional source for microbes,we hypothesized that sclerotia in soil may affect the microbial diversity directly or/and *** this study,we incubated sclerotia of *** in soil collected from field to observe shift-in microbial diversity across three months using 16S rRNA and ITS sequencing *** observed surprising shift-in microbial diversity with non-amended soil having more diverse microbes than sclerotia-amended soil *** diversity indices confirmed the decline in diversity of sclerotia-amended soil samples of bacterial and fungal communities with the exception of 3 month in fungal community where more diverse community was observed in sclerotia-amended soil samples compared to the non-amended ***-amended soil activated the antagonists and plant growth promoting microbes whereas,several plant-pathogenic fungi depicted decline in their abundances with the passage of ***,bacteria with potential role in plant growth promotion showed enhanced abundance in sclerotia-amended soils,such as Burkholderia,Chitinophaga and Dyella ***,fungal diversity exhibited enrichment of fungi with reported antagonistic activities such as,Clonostachys,Trichoderma and Talaromyces *** the contrary,we observed a drastic decline in abundance of numerous notorious plant-pathogenic fungi such as,Alternaria alternata,Botrytis cinerea,Fusarium graminearum,***,***,*** and Sclerotiumrolfsii *** sclerotia-amended soil ***,we conclude that

Eight new Schiff bases of 5-nitro and 5-bromo-substituted 1,10-phenanthroline-2,9-dicarboxaldehydes with sulfur-containing amines, thiosemicarbazide, S-alkyl/aryl dithiocarbazates and 2-mercaptoaniline have been synthesized and characterized by a variety of spectroscopic methods. The condensation reactions of the dialdehydes with the amines were carried out both in the presence and absence of conc. sulfuric acid. A significant increase in yield of the Schiff bases was observed when the reactions were carried out in the presence of sulfuric acid.

Development of oedema and hypoproteinaemia in a liver transplant recipient may be the first signs of graft dysfunction and should prompt a full assessment. We report the novel case of a patient who, years after liver transplantation developed a functional blind loop in an incisional hernia, which manifested as oedema and hypoproteinaemia secondary to protein losing enteropathy. After numerous investigations, the diagnosis was made by flurodeoxyglucose positron emmision tomography (FDG-PET) imaging. Surgical repair of the incisional hernia was followed several months later by resolution of the protein loss, and confirmed at a post operative FDG-PET scan at one year.

横斑腹小鸮(Athene brama)是巴基斯坦旁遮普中部农业生态系统中最常见但研究匮乏的猛禽。我们通过分析吐弃块(n=498)以了解其季节性和地域性食性变化。结果显示:小型哺乳类占所有食物生物量的98.4%,而昆虫类在数量上占据绝对优势(56.4%)。在小型哺乳类食物中,鼠类(38.8%)是稳定的食物成分。而在昆虫食物中,甲虫最多(42.8%)。横斑腹小亦捕食鼩鼱类(2.3%)和鸟类(1.7%)。昆虫类食物还有蟑螂(6.4%)、臭虫(3.3%)、蝗虫(6.7%)和蚂蚁(3.2%)。小家鼠(Mus musculus)和柔毛鼠(Rattus meltada)在鼠类食物中出现频次最多。不同地区中,Hafizabad的食物多样性最高(2.07),而秋季的食物多样性最高(1.99)。

研究表明,许多过去被注释为非编码的RNA,都可能具有编码蛋白的能力.目前已发现了数十个定位于不同细胞器的这类蛋白,它们在多个生物学过程中发挥着重要作用.脂滴(lipid droplet,LD)是一种由单层磷脂膜及外周蛋白包被中性脂核心的独特细胞器.脂滴与细胞脂质稳态的维持,以及人类代谢疾病的发生发展关系密切.而脂滴上是否存在由非编码RNA编码的蛋白仍然未知.本文发现了这类蛋白在脂滴上的存在,并进行了鉴定.作者从纯化的脂滴入手,通过富集小分子量蛋白,利用质谱学方法,发现了15个脂滴相关的非编码RNA来源的新蛋白(LD-associated noncoding RNA-encoded proteins,LDANPs).对LDANP1的进一步研究,确认了LDANP1定位在脂滴上,验证了其内源性表达,同时发现骨骼肌细胞中的LDANP1能够影响脂质贮存以及胰岛素信号.非编码RNA来源的蛋白在脂滴上的发现,为脂滴生物学,以及脂质代谢和代谢疾病的研究提供了崭新的思路及方向.

Four new Schiff bases of 1,10-phenanthroline-2,9-dicarboxaldehyde with sulfur-containing amines such as 2-mercaptoaniline, S-alkyl/aryl dithiocarbazates and thiosemicarbazide have been synthesized and characterized by spectroscopic and X-ray crystallographic techniques. A comparative study of the methods of synthesis has been made using both traditional and microwave techniques. A significant reduction in reaction time has been observed when the microwave method was used. In some of the reactions, the yields also increased significantly.

目的探究布地奈德(BUD)对宫内感染致支气管肺发育不良(BPD)新生大鼠肺部血管发育及血管内皮生长因子(VEGF)和核苷酸结合寡聚化结构域样蛋白3(NLRP3)表达的影响。方法将孕15 d的SD大鼠分为对照组和感染组[0.35 mg/(kg·d)脂多糖腹腔注射],并将各组所产的新生大鼠分为BUD组(0.5 mg BUD悬液)、正常对照组(NC组,等量9 g/L盐水)、BPD组(等量9 g/L盐水),每组40只,均采用雾化吸入,2次/d,持续14 d。分别于出生时及给药后3 d、7 d、14 d选取10只新生大鼠,HE染色后观察肺组织病理变化和放射状肺泡计数(RAC),并测量肺泡呼吸膜厚度;免疫组织化学法检测肺组织血小板-内皮细胞黏附分子(PECAM-1/CD_(31)),并计算肺微血管密度;免疫印迹法检测肺组织VEGF、NLRP3及半胱天冬氨酸蛋白酶-1(Caspase-1)蛋白表达水平;酶联免疫吸附试验检测血清白细胞介素(IL)-1β、IL-18水平。结果随日龄增加,NC组新生大鼠肺组织逐渐发育成熟,肺泡结构清晰、大小均匀、计数明显增加,未见明显病理变化;BPD组新生大鼠肺组织结构紊乱,肺泡大小不一、计数少,肺泡腔或肺泡间隔有炎症细胞渗出;与BPD组相比,BUD组新生大鼠肺组织病理变化显著减轻,给药后3 d、7 d、14 d,与NC组比较,BPD组和BUD组新生大鼠RAC减少,CD31阳性细胞平均积分光密度值、肺微血管密度、肺组织VEGF蛋白水平降低,差异均有统计学意义(均P<0.05),呼吸膜厚度增大,肺组织NLRP3、Caspase-1蛋白水平及血清IL-1β、IL-18水平升高,差异均有统计学意义(均P<0.05);与BPD组比较,BUD组新生大鼠RAC增多,CD31阳性细胞平均积分光密度值、肺微血管密度、肺组织VEGF蛋白水平明显升高,差异均有统计学意义(均P<0.05),呼吸膜厚度减小,肺组织NLRP3、Caspase-1蛋白水平及血清IL-1β、IL-18水平明显降低,差异均有统计学意义(均P<0.05)。结论宫内感染致BPD新生大鼠病理变化的发生发展可通过肺组织炎症反应影响肺血管发育。BUD可通过降低炎症反应及上调VEGF表达,促进肺组织血管重塑,增加肺组织微血管密度,缓解BPD新生大鼠肺组织病理变化。
