The accumulation of growth-promoting antibiotic residues in animal products and the resistance developed by bacteria in poultry farms has led to a search for natural compounds derived from plants. This study was designed to promote the production performance of broiler chickens using fresh Cupressus sempervirens leaves infusion. Fresh Cupressus sempervirens leaves were harvested, washed, chopped and ground to a paste using a blender and fermented for three days in a closed container at a rate of 500 g/L of water. The solution obtained was filtered and added at the rate of 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 ml/L of drinking water. The chickens fed on the graded level of the solution were compared to a control ration without an additive and positive control group supplemented with 1 g antibiotic/kg feed. At the finisher phase and throughout the study period, water intake increased significantly (P 0.05) affected by the inclusion of Cupressus sempervirens infusion. Haematological parameters significantly (P independently of the rate of incorporation of the infusion into the drinking water, with the exception of RBCs, MCHT and PCT. Serum content in total protein, globulins, LDL cholesterol and triglycerides were significantly (P < 0.05) high with 8 and 10 ml Cupressus sempervirens infusion/litre drinking water as compared to all other treatments. AST, ALT, urea, creatine, albumin, total cholesterol and HDL-cholesterol were not significantly affected. The lactic acid bacteria load increased significantly (P E. coli and salmonella counts decreased significantly (P < 0.05)

Studies were initiated for two consecutive years to find out the effect of time of transplanting and seedlings hill^-l on the productivity of rice in Dera Ismail Khan district of North West Frontier Province （NWFP）, Pakistan. The experiment was laid out in a randomized complete block design with split plot arrangements. Main plots consisted of four transplanting dates viz. 20th and 27th of June and 4th and 1 lth of July while sub-plots contained 1, 2, 3 or 4 seedlings hill^-1. Among transplanting dates, June 20th planted crop gave highest paddy yield and net return with I seedling hill^-1. It explains that the use of more seedlings hill^-1 not only adds to cost but is also a mere wastage of natural resources. Based on research findings, we conclude that the use of I seedling hill^-1 is most appropriate for timely sowing otherwise 4 seedlings hill^-1 should be used to compensate for the yield gap in late transplanted rice.

This paper presents the design and characterization of a via free planar single turn helix for 28 GHz broadband *** proposed antenna is designed using ROGERS RO4003 material,having a simple structure and end-fire radiation *** antenna comprises of a compact dimension of 1.36λ_(0)×0.9λ_(0) with a thickness of 0.0189λ_(0)(whereλ_(0) is the free-space wavelength at the central frequency of 28 GHz).Parametric study has been carried out to investigate the impact of key design parameters and to achieve an optimum *** show a good agreement between the simulated and measured results.A single turn helical inspired antenna covers−10 dB impedance bandwidth of 26.25-30.14 GHz having a peak gain of 5.83 dB and radiation efficiency up to 85%.Moreover,linear array configurations with 2 and 4 elements have been analyzed for applications with higher gain and space *** array configurations are suitable for applications having space constraints in one *** show that peak gain up to 8.2 dB and 11.1 dB can be achieved with 2 and 4 elements,*** to its simple planar and via free structure,this antenna is suitable for 5G communications and for sensing,imaging,IoT and tracking applications at 28 GHz band spectrum.

Contaminants,such as polychlorinated biphenyls(PCBs),polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs),heavy metals,and per and polyfluoroalkyl substances(PFASs),primarily reach the Arctic through long-range atmospheric and oceanic ***,local sources within the Arctic also contribute to the levels observed in the environment,including legacy sources and new sources that arise from activities associated with increasing commercial and industrial *** City of Iqaluit in Frobisher Bay,Nunavut(Canada),has seen rapid population growth and associated development during recent decades yet remains a site of interest for ocean protection,where Inuit continue to harvest country *** the present study,seven dated marine sediment cores collected in Koojesse Inlet near Iqaluit,and from sites in inner and outer Frobisher Bay,respectively,were analyzed for total mercury(THg),major and trace elements,PAHs,PCBs,and *** sedimentary record in Koojesse Inlet shows a period of Aroclor 1260-like PCB input concurrent with military site presence in the 1950e60s,followed by decades of input of pyrogenic PAHs,averaging about ten times background ***-surface sediments in Koojesse Inlet also show evidence of transient local-source inputs of THg and PFASs,and recycling or continued slow release of PCBs from legacy land-based *** in PFAS congener composition clearly distinguish the local sources from long-range *** Koojesse Inlet but still in inner Frobisher Bay,9.2 km from Iqaluit,sediments showed evidence of both local source(PCB)and longrange *** outer Frobisher Bay,an up-core increase in THg and PFASs in sediments may be explained by ongoing inputs of these contaminants from long-range *** context for ocean protection and country food harvesting in this region of the Arctic clearly involves both local sources and long-range transport,with past human activities leaving a long legacy insofar as levels of persistent o

Limiting toxic elements from being exposed to the world’s atmosphere has been the biggest challenge among environmental researchers and *** change conferences have been counselling the global economies to take serious steps toward profound decarbonization to keep the universal temperature below 1.5*** this context,the direction of environmental research has changed,and researchers are more focused on tracing how to limit pollution and keep it below the threshold *** this milieu,nuclear energy can make a big difference along with other alternatives to fossil ***,we extend the extant literature by exploring the dynamic effects of atomic energy and ICT on carbon emissions(CO_(2))for top nuclear energy countries using data from 1990 to *** obtain robust findings,we deploy a novel non-parametric econometric approach(i.e.,method of moments quantile regression).The results suggest that nuclear energy is a sustainable alternative to historical fossil fuel as it curbs CO_(2)emissions in the lower,middle,and upper ***,our findings corroborate that ICT penetration through the internet,mobile and telephone plays a vital role in improving environmental ***,we unveil that linear economic growth jeopardizes the environment by unleashing harmful *** findings also support the existence of the Environmental Kuznets Curve(EKC)hypothesis by confirming the negative association between the polynomial economic growth(squared-GDP)and CO_(2)emissions among the designated ***,the Granger causality test reaffirms the causal nexus among selected series that runs from nuclear energy and technological innovation to CO_(2)emissions,indicating that any policy shock in both series leads to environmental ***,therefore,advocate that the designated territories keep enriching their energy baskets with nuclear energy and boost ICT penetration to achieve a 100%decoupling of economic growth from pollution.

互联网加快了全球化进程,但随之而来的是由过度使用互联网所带来的负面影响。目前,玩网络游戏已经成为全球特别是亚洲国家的青少年最喜欢的消遣活动。随着互联网的普及,互联网和网络游戏的成瘾性使用的报告不断增多。APA在DSM-V中增加了网络游戏障碍,这一问题仍有待进一步的研究。这导致了对网络和视频游戏成瘾性使用研究的激增。但它的定义或诊断分析在概念上并不清晰,而且,迄今也缺乏标准的理论框架。本研究旨在评估宜昌地级市病态网络游戏使用成瘾率,测试病态网络游戏使用对青少年主观幸福感和睡眠质量的影响,评估睡眠质量在病态网络游戏使用与主观幸福感之间的中介作用。并探讨自我控制对睡眠质量的中介效应的调节作用。另一个主要目的是测试理论框架的组合,以了解病理性网络游戏使用对青少年的影响。本研究从2767名初中和高中生(7、8、9、11、12年级)的样本中收集数据。这项研究的概念框架是基于过去研究中经常使用的理论框架的组合来理解互联网和病理性网络游戏的使用及其效果。结果表明,4.1%的青少年达到了病态网络游戏上瘾的标准。此外,病理性网络游戏的使用也对参与者的睡眠质量和主观幸福感产生了负面影响。睡眠质量是影响病理性网络游戏使用对主观幸福感预测作用的中介因素。此外,在病理性网络游戏使用中,自我控制调节了睡眠质量的中介作用。

Sixth-Order Compact Finite Difference Method for 2D Helmholtz Equations with Singular Sources and Reduced Pollution Effect

Due to its highly oscillating solution,the Helmholtz equation is numerically challenging to *** obtain a reasonable solution,a mesh size that is much smaller than the reciprocal of the wavenumber is typically required(known as the pollution effect).High-order schemes are desirable,because they are better in mitigating the pollution *** this paper,we present a high-order compact finite difference method for 2D Helmholtz equations with singular sources,which can also handle any possible combinations of boundary conditions(Dirichlet,Neumann,and impedance)on a rectangular *** method is sixth-order consistent for a constant wavenumber,and fifth-order consistent for a piecewise constant *** reduce the pollution effect,we propose a new pollution minimization strategy that is based on the average truncation error of plane *** numerical experiments demonstrate the superiority of our proposed finite difference scheme with reduced pollution effect to several state-of-the-art finite difference schemes,particularly in the critical pre-asymptotic region where kh is near 1 with k being the wavenumber and h the mesh size.
