The coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic affects all countries and populations worldwide,significantly impacting people with autism with a high risk of morbidity and mortality due to *** 25%of children with autism have an asymptomatic or symptomatic immune deficiency or *** addition,they frequently have various comorbid conditions that increase the severity of *** addition,severe COVID-19 during pregnancy may increase the risk of autism in the ***,severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 could target human nervous system tissues due to its neurotrophic *** COVID-19 pandemic intensely impacts many patients and families in the autism community,especially the complex management of autism-associated disorders during the complete *** the complete lockdown,children with autism had difficulties coping with the change in their routine,lack of access to special education services,limited physical space available,and problems related to food and ***,children with autism or intellectual disabilities are more liable to be abused by others during the pandemic when the standard community supports are no longer functioning to protect *** detection and vaccination of children with autism against COVID-19 are highly *** should be prioritized for testing,vaccination,and proper management of COVID-19 and other infectious *** this review,we discuss the various effects of COVID-19 on children with autism,the difficulties they face,the increased risk of infection during pregnancy,how to alleviate the impact of COVID-19,and how to correct the inequalities in children with autism.

Cultural Eating Practices among Jordanians

Culture has an enormous impact on individuals’ food choices and practices. This research aimed to screen cultural eating practices among Jordanians. Jordanian adults (N = 4750) completed a survey with regard to common eating practices in Jordan. Practices were classified into 4 themes, namely regular eating practices (7 practices), seasonal eating practices (4 practices), eating practices in social occasions (6 practices), and eating practices in religious occasions (10 practices). Interestingly, most nutritional practices during Ramadan and Eids (religious occasions) were agreed upon from 100% of the participating sample. In conclusion, culture in Jordan has a huge influences eating practices and food choice. Negative culture’s influence over eating practices may exist, thus increasing awareness about unhealthy eating practices related to culture is necessary.

We have studied the genotoxic and apoptotic potential of ferric oxide nanoparticles（Fe_2O_3-NPs） in Raphanus sativus（radish）.Fe_2O_3-NPs retarded the root length and seed germination in *** sections of treated roots showed subcellular localization of Fe_2O_3-NPs,along with the appearance of damaged mitochondria and excessive *** cytometric analysis of Fe_2O_3-NPs（1.0 mg/m L） treated groups exhibited 219.5%,161%,120.4% and 161.4% increase in intracellular reactive oxygen species（ROS）,mitochondrial membrane potential（ΔΨm）,nitric oxide（NO） and Ca2＋influx in radish protoplasts.A concentration dependent increase in the antioxidative enzymes glutathione（GSH）,catalase（CAT）,superoxide dismutase（SOD） and lipid peroxidation（LPO） has been *** assay showed a concentration dependent increase in deoxyribonucleic acid（DNA） strand breaks in Fe_2O_3-NPs treated *** cycle analysis revealed 88.4% of cells in sub-G1 apoptotic phase,suggesting cell death in Fe_2O_3-NPs（2.0 mg/m L） treated *** together,the genotoxicity induced by Fe_2O_3-NPs highlights the importance of environmental risk associated with improper disposal of nanoparticles（NPs） and radish can serve as a good indicator for measuring the phytotoxicity of NPs grown in NP-polluted environment.

中国古代北方少数民族骑射、赛马、角力等项活动,最初是在其游牧经济基础上发展的。其入中原后,因受汉族农耕经济的影响,生活环境和方式发生了变化,因此用于狩猎和骑战的骑射等渐趋式微,并逐渐退出了历史舞台。而普遍存在于岁时节日和宗教礼仪活动中的体育内容,则因其民族习俗的因袭力,承袭至近、现代。在其历史发展中,又不断吸收了中原汉族社会诸多体育内容,并成为其文化的一部分。近、现代北方少数民族传统体育活动多是在承袭古代北方民族体育文化的基础上发展的。

Effect of Seeds Size on Germination of Faba Bean Plant

The study was conducted in al-Qassim region in February 2020 and the study aimed to know the effect of seed size on germination and some morphological parameters in Faba bean (Vicia faba L.) plant, by dividing the seeds into three sizes large 2.5 - 2.3 cm, medium 2.0 - 2.2 cm, and small 1.7 - 1.9 cm and planting them. The results showed that the germination percentage in the large seeds was the highest (100%), and the size of the seeds affected the length of the root and shoot as the large seeds gave the highest length for root (8.37 cm) and shoot (14.2 cm) compared to the medium and small seeds. So, for these results, the seed size is closely related to root and shoot length, number of leaves.

Comparative Study of Streamers＇ Characteristics in Different Seed Based Insulating Oils under Lightning Impulse Voltages

This paper is aimed at the streamers in natural esters （vegetable oils） in point--plane electrode arrangement under lightning impulse voltage. The shape, stopping length, velocity and current of streamers are investigated. Six untreated commercial oils extracted from grape seeds, sunflower and rape seeds, corn, rice and sesame that could constitute potential liquids for high voltage applications are tested. A naphthenic mineral oil is also tested for comparison. It＇s shown that the streamers are filamentary for both polarities. For a given voltage, the stopping lengths （Lf） of streamers are longer when the point is positive than when it is negative; also, except mineral oil when the point is negative, the values of Lf-are very close in all tested oils. The streamers＇ velocities are in the same range for all vegetable oils and they vary between 0.4 km/s and 1.2 km/s for positive polarity and 0.2 km/s and 0.8 km/s for negative polarity.

A Personnel Detection algorithm for an Intermodal Maritime Application of ITS Technology for Security at Port Facilities

With an overwhelming number of containers entering the United States on a daily basis, ports of entry are causing major concerns for homeland security. The disruption to commerce to inspect all containers would be prohibitive. Currently, fences and port security patrols protect these container storage yards. To improve security system performance, the authors propose a low cost fully distributed Intelligent Transportation System based implementation. Based on prior work accomplished in the design and fielding of a similar system in the United States, current technologies can be assembled, mixed and matched, and scaled to provide a comprehensive security system. We also propose the incorporation of a human detection algorithm to enhance standard security measures. The human detector is based on the histogram of oriented gradients detec- tion approach and the Haar-like feature detection approach. According to the conducted experimental results, merging the two detectors, results in a human detector with a high detection rate and lower false posi- tive rate. This system allows authorized operators on any console to control any device within the facility and monitor restricted areas at any given time.

The Effect of Balanced Hypocaloric Diet on the Anthropometric and Basic Metabolic Indicators in Infertile Women with Gluteofemoral Obesity

Purpose: To evaluate the effect of balanced hypocaloric diet therapy on the anthropometric and basic metabolic indicators in obese women with infertility. Methods: The follow up interventional clinical study included 23 infertile women in reproductive age with grade I gluteofemoral obesity. all patients have prescribed a balanced hypocaloric diet (1200 kcal/day), underwent exercise and behavioral therapy. Before and after 12-month treatment, an anthropometric study was conducted, determining the level of metabolic and hormonal indicators. Results: The total final number of study participants was 20 patients. A decrease in body weight was achieved in 87% of patients from 4 to 24 kg, on the average, by 10.58 ± 5.70 kg, there was also a decrease in BMI from 32.53 ± 1.40 to 28.55 ± 2.50 kg/m2 (p 0.001). The decrease in body weight was accompanied by a statistically significant decrease in leptin levels (p 0.001), E1 (p = 0.049), E2 (p = 0.032), fasting glucose (p 0.001), HOMA-IR (p = 0.002), cholesterol (p al cycles were resumed in all women (p = 0.007) and pregnancy occurred within a year in 1 patient. Conclusion: The implementation of a hypocaloric diet for 12 months in infertile women with first-degree obesity helps to normalize metabolic and hormonal indicators, reduces body weight and restores ovulatory menstrual cycle in all patients.

Implementation &Comparative Analysis of 10, 18 &24 Level Diode Clamped Inverters Using “Trust Region Dog Leg” Method

Multilevel inverters are used in many industrial applications because of good power quality, minimum losses and less harmonics contents. Multilevel inverters require no series connected synchronized switching devices, transformer and complex filters. In this paper 10, 18, 24 diode clamped multi-level inverters (DCMLI) are implemented using trust region dog leg optimization method to find the optimized values of switching angles (θ). It decreases the total harmonic distortion (THD) of the output voltages and to reduce the complexity of external filter required. The multi-level inverters are implemented in MATLAB Simulation and results are compared in terms of harmonics, system complexity and efficiency.

Effect of Field Treatment on microfloral Respiration and Storability of Canola under Different Storage Conditions

Whether different field treatments such as straight cut, swathing, or pre-harvest aid application can influence the canola storage is the critical information for growers. The effect of these different field treatments on the infection and development of microflora on canola seeds with 9%, 11%, and 14% moisture content at 20°C, 25°C, 30°C and 35°C was determined. To evaluate the microfloral infection and development, concentration of CO2 and O2 in 150 g canola bulks were measured every 3 d. At the beginning and end of the study (66 d), the seed moisture content, germination, visible mold, invisible fungal infection, and yellow seed count were measured. The swathed and nature ripened canola had a slightly higher respiration rate at ≥30°C and ≥ 2 wk than the seeds with other field treatments. The swathed canola had a marginally lower initial germination and higher germination at 66 d. The Glyphosate treated and nature ripened canola seeds had a slightly higher chance of visible model development. However, all these differences were not significant at α = 0.05 level and different field treatments and storage conditions did not influence the yellow seed count.
