The aim of this study is to examin. the un.teady hydromagn.tic flow of n.n.n.wton.an.n.n.fluid past a stretchin. sheet in.the presen.e of variable magn.tic field an. chemical reaction. The system of n.n.lin.ar partial differen.ial equation. govern.n. the flow was solved usin. fin.te differen.e n.merical approximation.method. The resultin. n.merical schemes were simulated in.MATLAB software. Furthermore, the skin.friction.coefficien., Sherwood n.mber, an. n.sselt n.mber have been.presen.ed in.tabular form an. discussed. The fin.in.s demon.trated that in.reasin. Reyn.lds n.mber in.reases velocity profiles while in.reasin. permeability parameter, suction.parameter an. an.le of in.lin.tion.for the applied magn.tic field reduces the velocity profiles of the fluid flow. Temperature of the fluid in.reases as the an.le of in.lin.tion. magn.tic n.mber, Reyn.lds n.mber an. Eckert n.mber in.rease but decreases as Pran.tl n.mber in.reases. In.uced magn.tic field profiles decrease as magn.tic Pran.tl n.mber an. suction.parameter in.rease. Con.en.ration.profiles decrease as the chemical reaction.parameter an. Schmidt n.mber in.rease but in.rease as the Soret n.mber in.reases. The study is sign.fican. because fluid flow an. heat tran.fer mechan.sms with the variable magn.tic con.ideration. play an.importan. role in.magn.tohydrodyn.mic gen.rator or dyn.mo an. magn.tohydrodyn.mic pumps, n.clear reactors, vehicle thermal con.rol, heat exchan.ers, can.er therapy, woun. treatmen. an. hyperthermia.

We presen. optical an. in.rared photometric an. spectroscopic studies of two Be stars in.the 70-80-Myr-old open.cluster n.C 6834. n.C 6834（1） has been.reported as a bin.ry from speckle in.erferometric studies whereas n.C 6834（2） may possibly be a γ Cas-like variable. In.rared photometry an. spectroscopy from the Un.ted Kin.dom In.rared Telescope （UKIRT）, an. optical data from various facilities are combin.d with archival data to un.erstan. the n.ture of these can.idates. High sign.l-to-n.ise n.ar-IR spectra obtain.d from UKIRT have en.bled us to study the optical depth effects in.the hydrogen.emission.lin.s of these stars. We have explored the spectral classification.scheme based on.the in.en.ity of emission.lin.s in.the H an. K ban.s an. con.rasted it with the con.en.ion.l classification.based on.the in.en.ity of hydrogen.an. helium absorption.lin.s. This work also presen.s hitherto un.vailable UBV CCD photometry of n.C 6834, from which the evolution.ry state of the Be stars is iden.ified.

To properly appreciate the history of tecton.cs--an. its in.luen.e on.the deep Earth an. climate-it is imperative to seek an.accurate an. global model of paleogeography. However, owin. to the in.essan. loss of ocean.c lithosphere through subduction. the paleogeographic recon.truction.of ＇full-plates＇（in.ludin. ocean.c lithosphere） becomes in.reasin.ly challen.in. with age. Prior to 150 Ma ~60% of the lithosphere is missin. an. re- con.truction. are developed without explicit regard for ocean.c lithosphere or plate tecton.c prin.iples; in.effect, reflectin. the earlier mobilistic paradigm of con.in.n.al drift. Although these ＇con.in.n.al＇ re- con.truction. have been.immen.ely useful, the n.xt-gen.ration.of man.le models requires global plate kin.matic description. with full-plate recon.truction.. Moreover, in.disregardin. （or on.y loosely applyin.） plate tecton.c rules, con.in.n.al recon.truction. fail to take advan.age of a wealth of addition.l in.ormation.in.the form of practical con.train.s. Such a model is presen.ed here for the late Paleozoic （410-250 Ma） together with a review of the un.erlyin. data. Although we expect this model to be particularly useful for n.merical man.le modelin., we hope that it will also serve as a gen.ral framework for un.erstan.in. late Paleozoic tecton.cs, on. on.which future improvemen.s can.be built an. further tested.

We presen. the results obtain.d from exten.ive n.ar-in.rared （IR） spectro- scopic an. photometric observation. of the Be/X-ray bin.ry A0535＋262/HDE 245770 at differen. phases of its - 111 d orbital period. This observation.campaign.is part of the mon.torin. program of selective Be/X-ray bin.ry systems aimed at un.erstan.in. X-ray an. n.ar-IR properties at differen. orbital phases, especially durin. the perias- tron.passage of the n.utron.star. The n.ar-IR observation. presen.ed here were carried out usin. the 1.2 m telescope at the Mt. Abu IR Observatory. Though the source was relatively fain. for spectroscopic observation. with the 1.2 m telescope, we mon.tored the source closely durin. the 2011 February-March gian. X-ray outburst to primarily in.estigate whether an. drastic chan.es in.the n.ar-IR JHK spectra took place at the periastron.passage. Chan.es of such a strikin. n.ture were expected to be detectable in.our spectra. Photometric observation. of the Be star show a gradual an. systematic fadin. in.the JHK light curves sin.e the on.et of the X-ray outburst, which could suggest a mild evacuation.trun.ation.of the circumstellar disk of the Be compan.on. n.ar-IR spectroscopy of the object shows that the JHK spectra are domin.ted by the emission.lin.s of hydrogen.Brackett an. Paschen.series an. HeI lin.s at 1.0830, 1.7002 an. 2.0585 μm. The presen.e of all the hydrogen.emission.lin.s in.the JHK spectra, alon. with the absen.e of an. sign.fican. chan.e in.the con.in.um of the Be compan.on.durin. X-ray quiescen. an. X-ray outburst phases, suggests that the n.ar- IR lin. emittin. region. of the disk are n.t sign.fican.ly affected durin. the X-ray outburst.
