How to fabricate high-quality microcavities simply and at low cost without causing damage to environmentally sensitive active layers such as perovskites are crucial for the studies of exciton–polaritons,however,it remains challenging in the field of microcavity ***,once the top mirror is deposited,the detuning of the microcavity is fixed and there is no easy way to tune ***,we have developed a method for deterministically transferring silver mirrors,which is relatively simple and guarantees the active layer from damaging of high temperature,particle bombardment,etc.,during the deposition of the top ***,with the help of a glass probe,we demonstrate a replaceable silver transfer method to tune the detuning of the microcavity,thereby changing the coupling of photons and excitons *** developed deterministic and replaceable silver mirror transfer methods will provide the capability to fabricate high-quality and tunable microcavities and play an active role in the development of the exciton–polariton field.

Transferring high-quality exfoliated graphene flakes onto different substrates while keeping the graphene free of polymer residues is of great importance, but at the same time very challenging. Currently, the only feasible way is the so-called all-dry "pick-and-lift" method, in which a hexagonal boron nitride(hBN) flake is employed to serve as a stamp to pick up graphene from one substrate and to lift it down onto another substrate. The transferred graphene samples, however,are always covered or encapsulated by hBN flakes, which leads to difficulties in further characterizations. Here, we report an improved "pick-and-lift" method, which allows ultra-clean graphene flakes to be transferred onto a variety of substrates without hBN coverage. Basically, by exploiting the superlubricity at the graphene/hBN stack interface, we are able to remove the top-layer hBN stamp by applying a tangential force and expose the underneath graphene.

Reservoir computing has been considered as a promising intelligent computing paradigm for effectively processing complex temporal *** tunable and reproducible dynamics in the single electronic device have been desired to implement the “reservoir” and the “readout” layer of reservoir computing ***-dimensional moiré materials,with an artificial lattice constant many times larger than the atomic length scale,are one type of most studied artificial quantum materials in community of material science and condensed-matter physics over the past *** materials are featured with gate-tunable periodic potential and electronic correlation,thus varying the electric field allows the electrons in the moiré potential per unit cell to exhibit distinct and reproducible dynamics,showing great promise in robust reservoir ***,we report that a moiré synaptic transistor can be used to implement the reservoir computing system with a homogeneous reservoir-readout *** synaptic transistor is fabricated based on an h-BN/bilayer graphene/h-BN moiré heterostructure,exhibiting ferroelectricity-like hysteretic gate voltage dependence of *** the magnitude of the gate voltage enables the moiré transistor to switch between long-term memory and shortterm memory with nonlinear *** employing the short-and long-term memories as the reservoir nodes and weights of the readout layer,respectively,we construct a full-moiré physical neural network and demonstrate that the classification accuracy of 90.8% can be achieved for the MNIST(Modified National Institute of Standards and Technology) handwritten digits *** work would pave the way towards the development of neuromorphic computing based on moiré materials.

The characteristics of internal tides in the upper layer of the Luzon Strait are investigated on the basis of direct-observation current data recorded on April 25 and September 26, 2008 by an acoustic Doppler current profiler. Spectral analysis and energy estimation show that the diurnals and semidiurnals carry most of the energy of internal tides. Values of the depth-integrated total energy E for the three frequency bands of diurnal, semidiurnal, and high frequencies are 31, 6.9, and 3.4 kJ. m, respectively. Near-inertial peaks are only present in the baroclinic component. The behavior of typical tidal frequencies （i.e., O1, K1, M2, MK3, and M4） and the near-inertial frequency is basically consistent with linear internal wave theory, which predicts E＋（ω）/E_（ω）=（ω-f）2/（ω＋f）2 at depths above 66 m, while not all prominent tidal components coincide well with the relation of the linear internal wave field at other depths. Examinations of depth structures of the baroclinic tides and temporal variations show that the surface tides and internal tides are both of mixed type, having diurnal inequality and spring-neap fortnight periods. The K1 and O1 tides have comparable cross- and along-shelf components, while the M2 and S2 tides propagate toward the shelf in the northern South China Sea as wave beams. The amplitude and phase of internal tides vary with time, but M2 and S2 tides appear to have structures dominated by the first mode, while the K1 and O1 tides resemble second-mode structures. The minor to major axis ratios are close to expected values of flω in the thermocline.

There is an increasing understanding of the roles that microsatellite instability （MSI） plays in Lynch syndrome （by mutations） and sporadic （by mainly epigenetic changes） gastrointestinal （GI） and other cancers. Defi- cient DNA mismatch repair （MMR） results in the strong mutator phenotype known as MSI, which is the hall- mark of cancers arising within Lynch syndrome. MSI is characterized by length alterations within simple repeated sequences called microsatellites. Lynch syn- drome occurs primarily because of germline mutations in one of the MMR genes, mainly MLH1 or MSH2, less frequently MSH6, and rarely PMS2. MSI is also observed in about 15% of sporadic colorectal, gastric, and en-dometrial cancers and in lower frequencies in a minor- ity of other cancers where it is often associated with the hypermethylation of the IVlLH1 gene. miRNAs are small noncoding RNAs that regulate gene expression at the posttranscriptional level and are critical in many biological processes and cellular pathways. There is accumulating evidence to support the notion that the interrelationship between MSI and miRNA plays a key role in the pathogenesis of GI cancer. As a possible new mechanism underlying MSI, overexpression of m/R-IEE has been shown to downregulate expression of MLH1, IVlSH2, and MSH6. Thus, a subset of MSI-positive （MSI＋） cancers without known MMR defects may result from m/R-1E5 overexpression. Target genes of frameshift mutation for MSI are involved in various cellular func- tions, such as DNA repair, cell signaling, and apoptosis. A novel class of target genes that included not only epi- genetic modifier genes, such as HDAC2, but also miRNA processing machinery genes, including TARBP2 and XPO5, were found to be mutated in MSI＋ GI cancers. Thus, a subset of MSI＋ colorectal cancers （CRCs） has been proposed to exhibit a mutated miRNA machinery phenotype. AIM:To clarify the association of glypican-3(GPC3)expression with Wnt and other growth signaling molecules in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC). METHODS:Expression of GPC3,Wnt,matrix metalloproteinases(MMPs),sulfatase(SULF)1,SULF2,and other growth signaling molecules was analyzed in HCC cell lines and tissue samples by real-time reverse transcriptionpolymerase chain reaction,immunoblotting,and/or *** of various genes in GPC3 siRNA-transfected HCC cells was analyzed. RESULTS:GPC3 was overexpressed in most HCCs at mRNA and protein levels and its serum levels weresignificantly higher in patients with HCC than in non- HCC subjects(P<0.05).Altered expressions of various MMPs and growth signaling molecules,some of which were correlated with GPC3 expression,were observed in ***-regulation of GPC3 expression by siRNA in GPC3-overexpressing HCC cell lines resulted in a significant decrease in expressions of MMP2,MMP14,fibroblast growth factor receptor 1,insulin-like growth factor 1 ***3 expression was significantly correlated with nuclear/cytoplasmic localization ofβ-catenin. CONCLUSION:These results suggest that GPC3,in conjunction with MMPs and growth signaling molecules, might play an important role in the progression of HCC.

Impact of lymph node micrometastasis in hilar bile duct carcinoma patients

AIM- To immunohistochemicaUy examine micrometastasis and VEGF-C expression in hilar bile duct carcinoma （HBDC） and to evaluate the clinical significance of the results. METHODS： A total of 361 regional lymph nodes from 25 patients with node-negative HBDC were immunostained with an antibody against cytokeratins 8 and 18 （CAM 5.2）, and immunohistochemical staining of VEGF-C was performed in 34 primary resected tumors. RESULTS： Lymph node micrometastasis was detected in 6 （24%） of the 25 patients and 10 （2.8%） of the 361 lymph nodes. Patients with micrometastasis showed significantly poorer survival rates than those without （P= 0.025）. VEGF-C expression was positive in 17 （50%） of 34 HBDC, and significantly correlated with lymph node metastasis （P=0.042） and microscopic venous invasion （P=0.035）. CONCLUSIONS： It is suggested that immunohistochemically detected lymph node micrometastasis has an impact on the outcome of HBDC. VEGF-C expression is highly correlated with lymph node metastasis in HBDC and might therefore be a useful predictor.

This paper describes a CMOS voltage reference using only resistors and transistors working in weak inversion,without the need for any bipolar *** voltage reference is designed and fabricated by a 0.18μm CMOS *** experimental results show that the proposed voltage reference has a temperature coefficient of 370 ppm/℃at a 0.8 V supply voltage over the temperature range of-35 to 85℃and a 0.1%variation in supply voltage from 0.8 to 3 ***,the supply current is only 1.5μA at 0.8 V supply voltage.
