This study investigates the coupling response of cables inside a metal cavity under X-ray irradiation using the finite-difference time-domain method, particle simulation method, and transmission-line equation to solve the electromagnetic field inside the cavity and load voltage at the cable terminal under X-ray excitation. The results show that under a strong ionizing radiation environment of 1./cm2\documentclass[1.pt]{minimal} \usepackage{amsmath} \usepackage{wasysym} \usepackage{amsfonts} \usepackage{amssymb} \usepackage{amsbsy} \usepackage{mathrsfs} \usepackage{upgreek} \setlength{\oddsidemargin}{-69pt} \begin{document}$${1.\,{\hbox {J/cm}1.}$$\end{document}, a strong electromagnetic environment is generated inside the cavity. The cable shielding layer terminal couples a voltage of 1..32 V, whereas the core wire terminal couples a voltage of 0.31.V. Under strong X-ray irradiation, the metal cavity not only fails to provide electromagnetic shielding, but also introduces new electromagnetic interference. This study also provides a method for reducing the number of emitted electrons by adding low-Z materials, which can effectively reduce the coupled electric field and voltage.

A widespread and prolonged hot extreme hit the Yangtze River basin in summer 2022,with 300 sites established new temperature records and nearly 96%stations endured more than 40 hot *** the perspective of the combination effect of the global warming and La Nina condition,potential mechanisms of the hot extreme were *** a record-breaking hot extreme was caused by an extremely strong and westward-shifted western Pacific subtropical high(WPSH).The global warming effect contributed primarily to the abnormal hot days in the Yangtze River basin,coupled with the modulation of the La Nina *** sea surface temperature anomaly pattern under La Nina condition favored more convection activities over the western Pacific,encouraging an enhanced and westward-extended *** addition,an observation-based attribution analysis indicates that anthropogenic warming may increase the probability of such extensively persistent hot extremeby1.8 times.

The private set intersection(PSI) protocol allows two parties holding a set of integers to compute the intersection of their sets without revealing any additional information to each other. The unbalanced PSI schemes consider a specific setting where a client holds a small set of the size n and a server holds a much larger set of the size m(n ■ m). The communication overhead of state-of-the-art balanced PSI schemes is O(m + n) and the unbalanced PSI schemes are O(nlogm). In this paper, we propose a novel secure unbalanced PSI protocol based on a hash proof system. The communication complexity of our protocol grows only linearly with the size of the small set. In other words, our protocol achieves communication overhead of O(n). We test the performance on a personal computer(PC) machine with a local area network(LAN)setting for the network. The experimental results demonstrate that the client only takes 2.01.s of online computation, 4.27 MB of round trip communication to intersect 1.00 pieces of 32-bit integers with 220pieces of 32-bit integers with the security parameter λ = 51.. Our protocol is efficient and can be applied to resource-constrained devices, such as cell phones.

Numerical analysis on phase change material melting process of a conical spiral tube energy storage tank

Spiral tube heat exchangers have been widely used in phase change energy storage due to the compact structure and large heat transfer area. Therefore, this study numerically analyzes the effects of spiral tube diameter, number of rotations, and unsteady heat source on the melting process in conical spiral tube energy storage tanks using Fluent software. The results indicate that when the tube diameter is increased from 8 to 1. mm and the number of rotations is increased from 5 to 8, the melting time is extended by 1..74% and 1..83%, respectively. The energy storage capacity increases by 0.64% and 1.83%, respectively. The average energy storage rate decreases by 1..05% and 1..58%, respectively. Furthermore, the sinusoidal wave heat source with small heat source periods has little effect on the melting process, while large heat source periods can significantly accelerate the melting. And the influence of amplitudes on the thermal storage performance under large heat source periods is more *** the heat source period is increased from 2 to 1.0 min and the amplitude is increased from 5 to 20 K, the melting time is reduced by 24.50% and 1..20%, respectively. The total energy storage capacity decreases by 6.36% and increases by 1.62%,respectively. The average energy storage rate increases by 24.03% and 22.74%, respectively. The study provides guidance for the performance optimization of spiral tube phase change systems.
