BACKGROUND Despite significant advancements in liver transplantation(LT)surgical procedures and perioperative care,post-LT biliary complications(BCs)remain a significant source of morbidity,mortality,and graft *** addition,data are conflicting regarding the health-related quality of life(HRQoL)of LT ***,the success of LT should be considered in terms of both the survival and recovery of *** To assess the impact of BCs on the HRQoL of live-donor LT recipients(LDLT-Rs).METHODS We retrospectively analysed data for 25 LDLT-Rs who developed BCs post-LT between January 2011 and December 2016 at our *** Short Form 12 version 2(SF 12v2)health survey was used to assess their *** also included 25 LDLT-Rs without any post-LT complications as a control *** The scores for HRQoL of LDLT-Rs who developed BCs were significantly higher than the norm-based scores in the domains of physical functioning(P=0.003),role-physical(P<0.001),bodily pain(P=0.003),general health(P=0.004),social functioning(P=0.005),role-emotional(P<0.001),and mental health(P<0.001).No significant difference between the two groups regarding vitality was detected(P=1.000).The LDLT-Rs with BCs had significantly lower scores than LDLT-Rs without BCs in all HRQoL domains(P<0.001)and the mental(P<0.001)and physical(P=0.0002)component summary *** The development of BCs in LDLT-Rs causes a lower range of improvement in HRQoL.

The energy market in Libya is expected to face substantial changes in the next few years:electrical energy consumption will increase by 50% within the next 4 ***,there is a plan to gradually increase renewable energy sources in the power network by 2030 to 30%.Solar photovoltaic(PV)plants will play a significant role in the energy transition and the mix of energy sources in *** article is a study conducted to investigate the challenges of power-flow management and power protection from integrating PV power plants into the Libyan power *** particular,a simulation model is built for the Kufra PV power plant(10 MW)with eight buses to assess the power network performance in terms of power quality such as voltage profile,power losses and ***,the impact of the PV plant on the short-circuit level and the power-protection system is presented under different operating *** fault ride-through(FRT)is operated using standard ambient temperature and a wide range of irradiation intensity,and is verified by using the Libyan grid *** results show that the integration of the PV plant into the grid has a significant impact on the short-circuit level and the FRT over the different fault levels and locations on the *** initial period of the three-phase fault shows that the PV plant will be disconnected from the grid due to a decrease in the root mean square value voltages where the reactive and active power of the grid reach 938 MVAR and 261 MW,*** results show that increasing the fault level will lead to an increase in injecting the active *** work is considered the first extensive investigation into the challenges of modern power-flow management and power protection for the power network system in Libya.

New 3D Aware Formulation of MoM-GEC Method for Studying Planar Structures with Vertical Sources

This paper proposes a generalization of the MoM-GEC method [1] needed for studying planar structures excited with a source located at perpendicular plan relative to circuit plan. A general formulation is detailed to allow modeling excitation of a planar structure with one or more sources located in plans other than the circuit plan. The numerical approach elaborated is based on the definition of new admittance operators and rotational transformations describing the transition from one plan to another. To validate this approach, we consider the case of a single source located in the perpendicular plan to the circuit.

High moisture content wheat kernels are subject to elevated respiration rates due to enzyme activity and mould growth that reduce the dry grain and may produce suffi-cient energy which may be harmful to wheat *** aeration provides a powerful nonchemical stored grain insect ***,aeration is a suitable and economical device to overcome this *** moisture management is vital to prevent spoilage in stored *** objective of this study is to investigate the influence of using low relative humidity(RH)aeration on the wheat moisture *** numerical investigation based on heat and mass balances is developed and used to simulate the evolution of grain temperature and moisture under various air RH in a wheat storage *** show that the dehumidification of blown air had greater potential for decreasing RH of interstitial air and wheat moisture at 30◦C temperature and RH of 40%,50%and 60%.

First Report of Abnormal Spermathecae in Phlebotomus （Larroussius） Iongicuspis Nitzulescu, 1930 （Diptera： Psychodidae）, in Tunisia

Phlebotomine sandflies （Diptera： Psychodidae） constitute a large group of flies, many of which have been described as vectors of leishmaniasis, a disease caused by Leishmania （Kinetoplastida： Trypanosomatidae） parasites. In Tunisia, a total of 17 species belonging to both genera Phlebotomus and Sergentomyia were described. In this work we report on an abnormality found in spermathecae of a female specimen ofPhlebotomus （Larroussius） longicuspis Nitzulescu, 1930. Sandflies were collected in SidiSaad locality, in the govemorate of Kairouan, central Tunisia, where zoonotic cutaneous leishmaniasis is endemic, during the June to November 2011 period, using CDC light traps. Males were washed and directly identified and females were dissected and morphologically identified using the head and the last two abdominal segments containing spermathecae and ducts. 162 flies were morphologically described. Among 33 females identified as Phlebotomus （Larroussius） longicuspis, one specimen was found abnormal and presented with three spermathecae. An additional spermathecae located in a short bifurcation on the upper extremity of one duct was found. This anomaly is for the first time described in Tunisia. Morphological abnormalities are important to report in order to avoid erroneous sandfly identification or description of new species.

A New Method for Cardiac Diseases Diagnosis

The objective of this work is to perform automatic diagnosis using a non invasive method which consists on the bioimpedance signal processing. Bioimpedance signal (BIS) represents the aorta impedance variation during the heart cycle activity. BIS is detected by mean of two electrodes located at the level of the ascendant aorta. Automatic diagnosis method consists on preparing, first, a data base with a set of cepstral parameters of different BIS according to normal case and different cardiac diseases. This data base is composed from n classes Yk corresponding to n diseases. The classification of anonymous individuals is based on the determination of Fisher distance between anonymous disease and class Yk using Fischer formula. Our method permits to calculate seven relevant cepstral parameters. The application of Fisher method has allowed us to perform the diagnosis of five anonymous cases. The major interest of this method is its especially useful for the exploration of cardiovascular system anomalies for emergency cases, children, elderly and pregnant women who can’t support surgical operations especially at the level of the heart.
