Pregnancy,childbirth and neonatal outcomes associated with adolescent pregnancy

Objective:To assess the obstetric and neonatal outcomes associated with adolescent pregnancy in ***:We retrospectively assessed women who gave birth between January 1st,2020,and January 1st,*** pregnant women were separated into two groups:(1)women aged 19 and younger;(2)women aged 20-34 *** outcome measures include preterm birth,maternal comorbidities,preeclampsia,eclampsia,low birth weight(LBW),intrauterine growth restriction(IUGR),placenta abnormalities,placenta abruption,cho-rioamnionitis,meconium fluid,fetal distress,methods of delivery,rate of cesarean section(CS),perineal lacer-ations,postpartum hemorrhage,childbirth trauma,shoulder dystocia,congenital malformation,and unfavorable maternal and neonatal *** regression models were used to determine the influence of teenage pregnancy on adverse pregnancy and childbirth ***:Of 7033 deliveries,92.4%of women were adults,and 7.6%were *** residing in rural districts were more common than adults(42.3%vs.33.7%).However,access to prenatal facility care was the same as the majority of women had 6-10 prenatal care visits during their *** was no difference in the risk of preeclampsia,placenta abruption,placenta previa,fetal distress,preterm labor,shoulder dystocia,perineal lacerations,childbirth trauma,congenital malformation,postpartum hemorrhage,intensive care unit admission,maternal death,and unfavorable neonatal outcome including stillbirth,neonatal intensive care unit admission,neonatal death in adolescent pregnancies compared to *** had a significantly higher risk of LBW(OR:1.47,95%CI:1.01-2.73),IUGR(OR:1.96,95%CI:1.31-2.45),and meconium fluid(OR:1.74,95%CI:1.41-2.32),however,there was no statistically significant difference after adjusting the confounding *** with adults,adolescents had a significantly lower risk of CS(aRR:0.67,95%CI:0.51-0.77)and a lower risk of gestational diabetes(aRR:0.78,95%CI:0.51-0.95)

Effect of Aqueous-Alcoholic Extract of Ducrosia Anethifolia Boiss on the Fetal Liver of Diabetic Rats

Objective:Moshgak(Ducrosia anethifolia)is a wild plant with medicinal *** present study aimed to evaluate the effect of Moshgak on the liver tissue of the diabetic rat *** and Methods:In this animal study,the aqueous-alcoholic extract of Moshgak was prepared in the standard *** rats were divided randomly into five groups,including control,sham,and three diabetic *** rats were diabetic with intraperitoneal injection of a single dose of streptozotocin(80 mg)and 2 diabetic groups were treated with Moshgak extract(280 and 560 mg/kg/bw)for 19 *** rats were anesthetized and their blood was taken to measure the blood glucose,insulin,and ***,their fetuses were *** fetal liver sections were obtained by using the stereological *** micrometry of the liver tissue was performed and data were ***:The finding showed a statistically significant increase(P<0.01)in the total volume of liver,connective tissue,sinusoid,and hepatocytes in diabetic rats compared to control rats,while these parameters decreased significantly in treated groups with *** cell count hepatic decreased in the treated ***,the changes in blood glucose,malondialdehyde,and insulin in diabetic rats were improved significantly by Moshgak *** dilation of sinusoids,hepatocyte vacuolation,and mild lymphocytosis was observed in all diabetic groups except the treatment group with Moshgak 560 mg/kg/***:According to obtained results,Moshgak extract was able to compensate partially the changes induced by diabetes in the fetal liver ***,due to the side effects of diabetes during pregnancy,further research on anti-diabetic properties of Moshgak is suggested.

Global systematic review and meta-analysis of knowledge, attitudes, and practices towards dengue fever among the general population

Objective:To determine the global level of knowledge,attitudes,and practices towards dengue fever among the general ***:To complete this systematic review and meta-analysis,a thorough search for pertinent English-language literature was undertaken during the study's extension until October *** search used Google Scholar,Scopus,PubMed/MEDLINE,Science Direct,Web of Science,EMBASE,Springer,and ProQuest.A quality assessment checklist developed using a modified Newcastle-Ottawa Scale for the cross-sectional study was used to evaluate the risk of bias in the included *** variance and Cochran Q statistics were employed in the STATA software version 14 to assess study *** there was heterogeneity,the Dersimonian and Liard random-effects models were ***:59 Studies totaling 87353 participants were included in this *** investigations included 86278 participants in 55 studies on knowledge,20196 in 33 studies on attitudes,and 74881 in 29 studies on *** pooled estimates for sufficient knowledge,positive attitudes,and dengue fever preventive behaviors among the general population were determined as 40.1%(95%CI 33.8%-46.5%),46.8%(95%CI 35.8%-58.9%),and 38.3%(95%CI 28.4%-48.2%),*** exhibits the highest knowledge level at 63.5%,and Africa shows the lowest at 20.3%.Positive attitudes are most prevalent in the Eastern Mediterranean(54.1%)and Southeast Asia(53.6%),contrasting sharply with the Americas,where attitudes are notably lower at 9.05%.Regarding preventive behaviors,the Americas demonstrate a prevalence of 12.1%,Southeast Asia at 28.1%,Western Pacific at 49.6%,Eastern Mediterranean at 44.8%,and Africa at 47.4%.Conclusions:Regional disparities about the knowledge,attitude and preventive bahaviors are evident with Europe exhibiting the highest knowledge level while Africa has the *** findings emphasize the importance of targeted public health interventions tailored to regional

Life-threatening constrictive pericarditis accompanied by synthetic cannabinoid use:A case report and literature review

Introducing scalable 1-bit full adders for designing quantum-dot cellular automata arithmetic circuits

Designing logic circuits using complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor(CMOS)technology at the nano scale has been faced with various challenges *** leakage currents,the short-effect channel,and high energy dissipation are some of the ***-dot cellular automata(QCA)represent an appropriate alternative for possible CMOS replacement in the future because it consumes an insignificant amount of energy compared to the standard *** key point of designing arithmetic circuits is based on the structure of a 1-bit full adder.A low-complexity full adder block is beneficial for developing various intricate *** paper represents scalable 1-bit QCA full adder structures based on cell *** proposed full adders encompass preference aspects of QCA design,such as a low number of cells used,low latency,and small area ***,the proposed structures have been expanded to larger circuits,including a 4-bit ripple carry adder(RCA),a 4-bit ripple borrow subtractor(RBS),an add/sub circuit,and a 2-bit array *** designs were simulated and verified using QCA Designer-E version *** tool can estimate the energy dissipation as well as evaluate the performance of the *** results showed that the proposed designs are efficient in complexity,area,latency,cost,and energy dissipation.

Predictors of readiness for discharge in mothers of preterm infants: The role of stress, self-efficacy and perceived social support

Objective:To determine the predictive role of stress,self-efficacy,and perceived social support on readiness for discharge in mothers of preterm ***:The present cross-sectional,descriptive-analytical study was conducted on 120 mothers of preterm infants admitted to hospitals affiliated to Lorestan University of Medical Sciences,Iran in *** were selected by a convenience sampling method and based on inclusion *** collection tools included the demographic questionnaire of mothers and infants,parent perceptions of their child's hospital discharge,parental stressor scale:neonatal intensive care unit,perceived maternal parenting,and multidimensional scale of perceived social *** were analyzed using Pearson correlation and stepwise regression at the significance level of ***:Infant behavior and appearance,situational belief,and family support achieved the highest mean score from parents'stress,self-efficacy,and perceived social support dimensions,*** was a significant relationship between stress,self-efficacy,and perceived social support with readiness for discharge in mothers of preterm infants(P<0.001).The score of mothers'readiness for discharge decreased by 0.07 per 1-point increase in stress score,and the score of readiness for discharge in mothers of preterm infants rose by 0.35 and 0.43,respectively,for a unit increase in the scores of self-efficacy and perceived social ***:Stress,self-efficacy,and perceived social support can be considered as predictors of readiness for discharge in mothers of preterm *** is suggested that nurses in neonatal intensive care units provide a better platform for the readiness for discharge in mothers of preterm infants by reducing stressors and increasing maternal self-efficacy and social support.

The present study was conducted aiming at investigating the effect of social media-based intervention according to the Theory of Planned Behavior(TPB)to control the academic stress of the *** study comes in two descriptive and quasi-experimental sections in the Academic Year *** order to determine the effect of planned behavioral constructs on stress levels,the descriptive study was conducted on 320 *** quasiexperimental study was organized to determine the effect of a social media-based educational intervention on the TPB on 180 *** collection was conducted through questionnaires of personal information,Gadzella’s Student-Life Stress Inventory,and researcher-made questionnaire based on the TPB,with a confirmed validity and *** predicted 15.1%of the variance of academic stress among students and the perceived behavioral control construct had the most significant effect(p<0.001).The mean score of knowledge and subject norms in the experimental group was significantly increased during the study(p<0.05).The social media intervention could reduce the students’academic stress to some extent and lead to the student’s subject norms development.

The plurality effect of topographical irregularities on site seismic response

Topography can have signifi cant eff ects on seismic ground response during an earthquake because topographic irregularities cause considerable diff erences between the seismic waves emitted by the source and the waves reaching the ground surface. When a seismic motion happens in a topographically irregular area, seismic waves are trapped and refl ected between the topographic features. Therefore, the interaction between topographies can amplify seismic ground response. In order to reveal how interaction between topographies infl uences seismic response, several numerical fi nite element studies have been performed by using the ABAQUS program. The results show that topographic features a greater distance between the seismic source and the site would cause greater seismic motion amplifi cation and is perceptible for the hills far away from the source and the ridges. Also, site acceleration response is impacted by surrounding topography further than site velocity and displacement response.

A Stable Analytical Solution Method for Car-Like Robot Trajectory Tracking and Optimization

In this paper, the car-like robot kinematic model trajectory tracking and control problem is revisited by exploring an optimal analytical solution which guarantees the global exponential stability of the tracking error. The problem is formulated in the form of tracking error optimization in which the quadratic errors of the position, velocity, and acceleration are minimized subject to the rear-wheel car-like robot kinematic model. The input-output linearization technique is employed to transform the nonlinear problem into a linear formulation. By using the variational approach, the analytical solution is obtained, which is guaranteed to be globally exponentially stable and is also appropriate for real-time applications. The simulation results demonstrate the validity of the proposed mechanism in generating an optimal trajectory and control inputs by evaluating the proposed method in an eight-shape tracking scenario.
