Typically,smart grid systems enhance the ability of conventional power system networks as it is vulnerable to several kinds of *** vulnerabil-ities might cause the attackers or intruders to collapse the entire network system thus breaching the conﬁdentiality and integrity of smart grid ***,for this purpose,Intrusion detection system(IDS)plays a pivotal part in offering a reliable and secured range of services in the smart grid *** exist-ing approaches are there to detect the intrusions in smart grid framework,however they are utilizing an old dataset to detect anomaly thus resulting in reduced rate of detection accuracy in real-time and huge data *** as to overcome these limitations,the proposed technique is presented which employs both real-time raw data from the smart grid network and KDD99 dataset thus detecting anoma-lies in the smart grid *** the grid side data acquisition,the power trans-mitted to the grid is checked and enhanced in terms of power quality by eradicating distortion in transmission *** this approach,power quality in the smart grid network is enhanced by rectifying the fault using a FACT device termed UPQC(Uniﬁed Power Quality Controller)and thereby storing the data in cloud *** data from smart grid cloud storage and KDD99 are pre-pro-cessed and are optimized using Improved Aquila Swarm Optimization(IASO)to extract optimal *** probabilistic Recurrent Neural Network(PRNN)classiﬁer is then employed for the prediction and classiﬁcation of *** last,the performance is estimated and the outcomes are projected in terms of grid voltage,grid current,Total Harmonic Distortion(THD),voltage sag/swell,accu-racy,precision,recall,F-score,false acceptance rate(FAR),and detection rate of the classiﬁ*** analysis is compared with existing techniques to validate the proposed model efﬁciency.

The poor dissolution characteristics of water-insoluble drugs are a major challenge for pharmaceutical *** of the particle size/increase in the surface area of the drug is a widely used and relatively simple method for increasing dissolution *** objective of this study was to improve solubility,release and comparability of dissolution of a poorly soluble drug using two different types of formulations(solid dispersions and microspheres).Hydrochlorothiazide was used as a model *** solid dispersions and microspheres were prepared by solvent evaporation method using ethyl cellulose,hydroxypropyl methylcellulose in different drug-to-carrier ratios(1:1,1:2 w:w).The prepared formulations were evaluated for interaction study by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,differential scanning calorimetry,percentage of practical yield,drug loading,surface morphology by scanning electron microscopy,optical microscopy and in-vitro release *** results showed no interaction between the drug and polymer,amorphous state of solid dispersions and microspheres,percentage yield of 42.53%to 78.10%,drug content of 99.60%to 99.64%,good spherical appearance in formulation VI and significant increase in the dissolution rate.

An analysis is carried out to study the combined effects of viscous and Ohmic heating in the transient, free convective flow of a viscous, incompressible, and doubly stratified fluid past an isothermal vertical plate with radiation and chemical reactions. The governing boundary layer equations are solved numerically by an implicit finite difference scheme of the Crank-Nicolson type. The influence of different parameters on the velocity, the temperature, the concentration, the skin friction, the Nusselt number, and the Sherwood number is discussed with graphical illustrations. It is observed that an increase in either the thermal stratification or the mass stratification parameter decreases the velocity. An increase in the thermal stratification increases the concentration and decreases the temperature while an opposite effect is observed for an increase in the mass stratification. An augmentation in viscous and Ohmic heating increases the velocity and temperature while decreases the concentration. The results are found to be in good agreement with the existing solutions in literature.

Co-culture engineering is an emerging approach for microbial biosynthesis of a variety of *** this study,*** co-cultures were developed for heterologous biosynthesis of the natural product *** co-cultures were composed of two independent *** strains dedicated to functional expression of different portions of the biosynthetic pathway,*** co-culture biosynthesis was optimized by investigating the effect of carbon source,*** strain selection,timing of IPTG induction and the inoculation ratio between the co-culture *** with the monoculture strategy,the utilization of the designed co-cultures significantly improved the naringenin production,largely due to the reduction of metabolic stress,employment of proper hosts for improving pathway enzyme activities,and flexible adjustment of the relative biosynthetic strength between the coculture *** findings of this study extend the applicability of co-culture engineering in complex natural product biosynthesis.

An innovative approach to minimize excess sludge production in sewage treatment using integrated bioreactors

The present investigation deals with an application of integrated sequential oxic and anoxic bioreactor（SOABR） and fluidized immobilized cell carbon oxidation（FICCO） reactor for the treatment of domestic wastewater with minimum sludge generation. The performance of integrated SOABR-FICCO system was evaluated on treating the domestic wastewater at hydraulic retention time（HRT） of 3 hr and 6 hr for 120 days at organic loading rate（OLR）of 191 ± 31 mg/（L·hr）. The influent wastewater was characterized by chemical oxygen demand（COD） 573 ± 93 mg/L; biochemical oxygen demand（BOD5） 197 ± 35 mg/L and total suspended solids（TSS） 450 ± 136 mg/L. The integrated SOABR-FICCO reactors have established a significant removal of COD by 94% ± 1%, BOD5 by 95% ± 0.6% and TSS by 95% ± 4% with treated domestic wastewater characteristics COD 33 ± 5 mg/L; BOD59 ± 0.8 mg/L and TSS 17 ± 9 mg/L under continuous mode of operation for 120 days. The mass of dry sludge generated from SOABR-FICCO system was 22.9 g/m3. The sludge volume index of sludge formed in the SOABR reactor was 32 mL/g and in FICCO reactor it was 46 mL/g. The sludge formed in SOABR and FICCO reactor was characterized by TGA, DSC and SEM analysis. Overall, the results demonstrated that the integrated SOABR-FICCO reactors substantially removed the pollution parameters from domestic wastewater with minimum sludge production.

Thermally stable, solid-state luminescent organic materials are highly desired for the development of practical *** we synthesized new gold(I) complexes with N-heterocyclic carbene ligands, which have the ability to form strong metalorganic bond. Consequently, their thermochemical stability is enhanced at temperatures around 300 °C. Precise design of the molecular structure of the ligands, with a focus on ensuring low steric hindrance around Au atoms in order to limit disturbances to Au/Au interactions, provided a complex with a densely packed crystal with a shorter intermolecular Au–Au distance(3.17 ?)than the typical distance. In the solid state, this complex exhibited strong aurophilic interactions, which generated intense phosphorescence even in air at room temperature(quantum yield=16%) in spite of absence of any phosphorescence in *** behavior is characteristic for solid-state luminescence referred to as aggregation-controlled emission. Furthermore, the gold(I) complex displays capacity for mechano-and vapo-chromism—that is, the ability to change color reversibly in response to the application of external stimuli. We believe that the proposed design framework, which involves controlling thermal stability and luminescence property separately, provides a new opportunity for the development of practical applications using solid-state luminescent organic molecules.

Obstructive Sleep Apnea(OSA)is a respiratory syndrome that occurs due to insufficient airflow through the respiratory or respiratory arrest while sleeping and sometimes due to the reduced oxygen *** aim of this paper is to analyze the respiratory signal of a person to detect the Normal Breathing Activity and the Sleep Apnea(SA)*** the proposed method,the time domain and frequency domain features of respiration signal obtained from the PPG device are *** features are applied to the Classification and Regression Tree(CART)-Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO)classifier which classifies the signal into normal breathing signal and sleep apnea *** proposed method is validated to measure the performance metrics like sensitivity,specificity,accuracy and F1 score by applying time domain and frequency domain features ***,the performance of the CART-PSO(CPSO)classification algorithm is evaluated through comparing its measures with existing classification ***,the effect of the PSO algorithm in the classifier is validated by varying the parameters of PSO.

Sometimes user has the requirement to run a high bandwidth application over a low bandwidth network. But its implementation is not easy as the traditional network transmits data with only one path where its bandwidth is lower than the demand. Although the current network technology like SDN has the ability to precisely control the data transmission in the network, but till now the standard openflow protocol does not support splitting one flow to multiple flows. In this paper, a flow splitting algorithm is proposed. The algorithm splits a data flow to multiple sub-flows by extending the openflow protocol. A multiple paths routing algorithm is also proposed to implement the multi-path parallel transmission in the paper. The algorithm selects multiple paths and minimizes the cost of transmission under the constraint of maximum delay and delay variance. The simulations show the algorithms can significantly improve the transmission performance.

This paper explores the power of stock trading trend using an integrated New ThresholdFuzzy Cognitive maps(NTFCMs)markov chain *** new model captures thepositive as well as the negative jumps and predicts the trend for different stocks over 4months which follow an uptrend,downtrend and a mixed *** mean absolute percent error(maPE)tolerance limits,the root mean square error(RMSE)tolerance limits aredetermined for various stock indices over a multi-timeframe period and observed for theexisting methods lying within the defined *** results show for every‘n’number ofpredictions made,the predicted close value of the day’s stock price was within tolerancelimit with 0%error and with 100%accuracy in predicting the future trend.
