Association of plasma vitamin A level with type 2 diabetes mellitus:a community aging population-based cross-sectional study

Recent studies indicated that vitamin A(VA)might be involved in the pathology of type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM).This cross-sectional study was conducted to explore the association between circulating VA level and T2DM.A total of 1818 subjects aged 50 years old and above were recruited from the *** logistic regression and restricted cubic spline(RCS)were applied to analyze the association of plasma VA level with the risk of *** VA and lipid-adjusted VA levels of T2DM patients were significantly higher than that of non-T2DM subjects(Pma VA/total cholesterol(TC),VA/high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-c)and VA/low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-c)were positively associated with the risk of T2DM in the aging population(Pma VA/triglyceride(TG)have decreased risk of T2DM(odds ratio(OR)Q2=0.68,P_(Q2)=0.021;ORQ3=0.59,P_(Q3)lipids and VA might affect the relationship between VA and *** middle and aging subjects with higher ratios of plasma VA/TC,VA/HDL-c,and VA/LDL-c displayed increased risk for T2DM,but the moderate ratio of VA/TG might protect against risk of T2DM.

Cold surges(CSs)often occur in the mid-latitude regions of the Northern Hemisphere and have enormous effects on socioeconomic *** report that the occurrences of CSs and persistent CSs(PCSs)have rebounded since the 1990s,but the trends related to the frequencies of strong CSs(SCSs)and extreme CSs(ECSs)changed from increasing to decreasing after *** highest-ranked model ensemble approach was used to project the occurrences of various CSs under the SSP1-2.6,SSP2-4.5,and SSP5-8.5 *** frequencies of the total CSs show overall decreasing ***,under the SSP1-2.6 scenario,slight increasing trends are noted for SCSs and ECSs in *** circulations that are characterized by an anomalous anticyclonic circulation with a significantly positive 500-hPa geopotential height(Z500)anomaly at high latitudes along with significant negative anomalies in China were favorable for cold air intrusions into *** addition,the frequencies of all CS types under the SPP5-8.5 scenario greatly decreased in the long term(2071-2100),a finding which is thought to be related to negative SST anomalies in the central and western North Pacific,differences in sea level pressure(SLP)between high-and mid-latitude regions,and a weaker East Asian *** terms of ECSs,the decreasing trends observed during the historical period were maintained until 2024 under the SSP1-2.6 *** to the SSP1-2.6 scenario,the Z500 pattern showed a trend of strengthened ridges over the Ural region and northern East Asia and weakened troughs over Siberia(60°-90°E)under the SSP2-4.5 and SSP5-8.5 scenarios,contributing to the shift to increasing trends of ECSs after 2014.

Virtual water trade(VWT)provides a new perspective for alleviating water crisis and has thus attracted widespread ***,the heterogeneity of virtual water trade inside and outside the river basin and its influencing factors remains further *** this study,for better investigating the pattern and heterogeneity of virtual water trade inside and outside provincial regions along the Yellow River Basin in 2015 using the input-output model(MRIO),we proposed two new concepts,i.e.,virtual water surplus and virtual water deficit,and then used the Logarithmic Mean Divisia Index(LMDI)model to identify the inherent mechanism of the imbalance of virtual water trade between provincial regions along the Yellow River Basin and the other four regions in *** results show that:1)in provincial regions along the Yellow River Basin,the less developed the economy was,the larger the contribution of the agricultural sector in virtual water trade,while the smaller the contribution of the industrial sector.2)Due to the large output of agricultural products,the upstream and midstream provincial regions of the Yellow River Basin had a virtual water surplus,with a net outflow of virtual water of 2.7×10^(8) m^(3) and 0.9×10^(8) m^(3),respectively.3)provincial regions along the Yellow River Basin were in a virtual water deficit with the rest of China,and the decisive factor was the active degree of trade with the *** study would be beneficial to illuminate the trade-related water use issues in provincial regions along the Yellow River Basin,which has farreaching practical signific-ance for alleviating water scarcity.

Novel Yb_(x)Ce_(1-x)O_(2-0.5x)(x=0-0.8)ceramics,designed by replacing Ce^(4+)with Yb^(3+)ions were prepared by conventional oxide reaction,and the structural stability of the cubic fluorite structure was assessed using lattice energy and ionic properties of Ce/Yb-O *** oxygen vacancy caused by unequal substitution,which played a decisive role in bond ionicity and lattice energy,was analyzed experimentally by XPS and also theoretically by first *** Yb_(x)Ce_(1-x)O_(2-0.5x) ceramics maintain a stable cubic fluorite structure when x≤0.47,corresponding to the minimum lattice energy of 4142 kJ/mol with the lowest ionicity as ƒ_(i)=87.57%.For microwave dielectric properties,when the Yb_(x)Ce_(1-x)O_(2-0.5x)(x=0-0.4)ceramics are pure phase,the porosity-corrected permittivity is dependent on the bond *** Q×ƒ values are related to the lattice energy and grain *** temperature coefficient of resonance frequency has been analyzed using bond *** the Yb_(x)Ce_(1-x)O_(2-0.5x)(x=0.5-0.8)ceramics are multiple phases,the microwave dielectric properties are associated with the phase composition and grain growth.

Nanopore-based electrochemical technique is a promising tool for detecting single ***,detecting single proteins using a nanopipette in their native state without labeling is challenging due to the rapid translocation,which results in an inefficient signal *** our study,we finely tuned the driving force equilibrium between electrophoretic force(EPF)and electroosmotic flow(EOF)inside the nanopipette for efficient sensing of single glucose oxidase(GOD)*** duration time of GOD within the nanopipette is extended to about 4 *** strategy provided clear ionic current signals with a signal-to-noise ratio of *** EPF increased in the direction opposite to the motion of GOD,we observed a nonlinear growth in GOD’s duration *** extended the duration to about 4.4 times longer at−1000 mV compared to at−800 ***,nanopore-based electrochemical sensing could be used for single GOD molecule analysis as an ultrasensitive method.

With the promotion of digital currency,how to effectively solve the authenticity,privacy and usability of digital currency issuance has been a key *** signature scheme(RSS)can provide the verification of the integrity and source of the generated sub-documents and solve the privacy problem in digital currency by removing blocks from the signed ***,it has not realized the consolidation of signed documents,which can not solve the problem of merging two digital ***,we introduce the concept of weight based on the threshold secret sharing scheme(TSSS)and present a redactable signature scheme with merge algorithm(RSS-ma)using the quasi-commutative *** scheme can reduce the communication overhead by utilizing the merge algorithm when transmitting multiple digital currency ***,this can effectively hide the scale of users’private monetary assets and the number of transactions between *** meeting the three properties of digital currency issuance,in order to ensure the availability of digital currency after redacting,editors shall not remove the relevant identification information block form digital ***,our security proof and the analysis of efficiency show that RSS-ma greatly improves the communication and computation efficiency when transmitting multiple signatures.
