The complexes of rare earth elements with 1,2-diphenyl-4-butyl-3,5-Pyrazolidinedione （PBH, phenylbutazone） were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductance, Ir, UV-Vis, EPr and magnetic moment measurements. Based on these studies the complexes were formulated as [Ln（PB）3（H2O）2].nH2O, where Ln=Eu（III）, Gd（III）, Tb（III）, Dy（III） and Er（III）. From Ir spectra, it was found that PBH acted as a bidentate mono-ionic ligand coordinating through two carbonyl oxygen of the pyrazolidinedione ring. The thermal analysis of all the complexes was carried out at a heating rate of 10 oC/min. The kinetic aspects of the complexes were evaluated. The nega-tive entropy value of the complexes indicated a more ordered state for the activated complexes. The photoluminescence property of Tb（III） complex was investigated. It showed all the characteristic emission peaks of Tb^3＋ with a life time of 0.98914 ms.

Lanthanide（III） complexes of 4-butyl-1-（4-hydroxyphenyl）-2-phenyl-3,5-pyrazolidinedione （OPB） were prepared by ho-mogeneous precipitation. The solid complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, magnetic susceptibility data, molar conduc-tivity measurements and Ir, UV-Vis, mass, 1H Nmr and 13C Nmr spectral methods. The thermal decomposition of the complexes under static air atmosphere was investigated by simultaneous TG/DTG at a heating rate of 10 °C/min. The final decomposition prod-ucts were found to be metal oxides. The spectroscopic data suggested that OPB acted as a bidentate, mono-ionic ligand coordinating through two carbonyl oxygens of the pyrazolidinedione ring. The kinetic and thermodynamic parameters such as activation energy, pre-exponential factor and entropy of activation for each step of the decomposition reactions were evaluated using Coats-redfern and macCallum-Tanner equations. The negative entropy values of the complexes indicated that the activated complexes had a more or-dered structure than the reactant and that the reactions were slower than normal. Investigations of antimicrobial activity of the com-pounds were carried out by the disk diffusion technique.

In this study, we investigate the complex relationship between western disturbances (WDs), the El Ni & ntilde;o-Southern Oscillation (ENSO), and extreme precipitation events (EPEs) in the western Himalaya (WH) during the extended winter season (November-march). WDs west of WH coincide with 97% of recorded EPEs, contributing substantially (32% in winter, 11% annually) to total precipitation within WH. WDs are 6% less frequent and 4% more intense during El Ni & ntilde;o than La Ni & ntilde;a to the west of WH. During El Ni & ntilde;o (compared to La Ni & ntilde;a) years, WDs co-occurring with EPEs are significantly more intense and associated with 17% higher moisture transport over "WH box" (the selected region where most of the winter precipitation over WH occurs). This results in twice the EPE frequency during El Ni & ntilde;o periods than La Ni & ntilde;a periods. A substantial southward shift (similar to 180 km) of the subtropical jet (STJ) axis during El Ni & ntilde;o brings WD tracks further south towards their primary moisture sources, especially the Arabian Sea. We have shown that WDs that are both more intense and pass to the south of their typical latitudes have higher levels of vertically integrated moisture flux (VImF) within them. VImF convergence in the most intense pentile of WDs is 5.7 times higher than in the weakest, and is 3.4 times higher in the second lowest latitude pentile than in the highest. Overall, this study demonstrates a direct link between changes in the latitudinal position and intensity of WDs associated with the winter STJ, and moisture convergence, which leads to the occurrence of EPEs over WH during ENSO phases.

We present the first search for pulsed CH maser emission potentially stimulated by PSr J1644-4559,conducted using the ultra-wide-bandwidth low-frequency receiver on murriyang,CSIrO's Parkes radio *** targeted three CHΛ-doublet transitions at 3264,3335,and 3349 mHz,with a variability timescale of78 *** detected ten CH emission features at 3335 and 3349 mHz,and seven features at 3264 mHz,during both pulsar-ON and pulsar-OFF *** observed velocities align with the OH emission and absorption reported by a previous study,suggesting a close spatial association between CH and OH *** derived column densities for CH clouds within the Parkes beam range from 0.05 to 9.8×1013cm-2,indicating that these clouds are likely in diffuse and translucent *** limits for CH column densities within the pulsar beam ranged from 0.3 to 9.8×*** of these column densities suggests that CH clouds may exhibit clumpiness and *** significant stimulated emission feature was detected in the optical depth ***,as part of our search for pulsed stimulated emission,we investigated the potential CH absorption of the pulsar signal and found none,in agreement with astrophysical *** upper limits for the potential maser amplification factors towards PSr J1644-4559 at 3264,3335,and 3349 mHz are 1.014,1.009,and 1.009,*** study demonstrates the feasibility of detecting pulsed CH maser emission in the interstellar medium stimulated by pulsar photons.

This study examines the nonlinear behaviors of a clamped-clamped porous pipe made of a functionally graded material(FGm) that conveys fluids and is equipped with a retaining clip, focusing on primary resonance and subcritical dynamics. The nonlinear governing equations for the FGm pipe are derived by the extended Hamilton's principle, and subsequently discretized through the application of the Galerkin *** direct method of multi-scales is then used to solve the derived equations. A thorough analysis of various parameters, including the clip stiffness, the power-law index, the porosity, and the clip location, is conducted to gain a comprehensive understanding of the system's nonlinear dynamics. Through the analysis of the first natural frequency, the study highlights the influence of the flow velocity and the clip stiffness, while the comparisons with metallic pipes emphasize the role of FGm composition. The examination of the forced response curves reveals saddle-node bifurcations and their dependence on parameters such as the detuning parameter and the power-law index, offering valuable insights into the system's nonlinear resonant behavior. Furthermore, the frequency-response curves illustrate the hardening nonlinearities influenced by factors such as the porosity and the clip stiffness, revealing nuanced effects on the system response and resonance characteristics. This comprehensive analysis enhances the understanding of nonlinear behaviors in FGm porous pipes with a retaining clip, providing key insights for practical engineering applications in system design and optimization.
