A monte Carlo approach is used to estimate hole mobilities in molecularβ−copper phthalocyanine(CuPc)crystal for different applied electric field *** to the crystal symmetry,the twelve neighboring molecules in the three-dimensional crystal are selected in the hopping rate *** functional theory is employed to derive the molecular interaction between the central and neighboring molecules for various applied electric *** derived molecular hopping rate is applied to 80×80×80 lattice sites under periodic boundary *** order to achieve accurate statistics,each calculation includes 6561 particles with more than 10000 hopping steps under an applied electric field of 0.5–3.5 mV/*** results indicate that the molecular hopping strongly depends on the molecular orientation and neighboring sites related to the applied electric field *** estimated carrier mobility can be described by the percentage occupation in each neighboring site and the obtained hole mobility value is in the same range of the measured values of single crystal *** calculated mobility for applied electric field along the c crystal axis exhibits the highest values while the mobility along the b axis has the smallest value.

The intrinsic ferromagnetism of CoBr2 bulk was investigated using DFT(density functional theory)combined with the full potential linear augmented plane wave method and monte Carlo *** ground state of CoBr2 exhibits ferromagnetic behavior and a semiconductor *** used the generalized gradient approximation(GGA)and GGA+U(Hubbard correction)approximations to determinate the magnetic *** magnetic moment reached the experimental value and was in good agreement with the other theoretical *** value obtained was used as an input to a monte Carlo study to calculate the thermal magnetization and magnetic hysteresis *** behavior was observed and was found to be due to an positive exchange *** results lead us to believe that this material could be a promising spintronic material.

Selective area electron diffraction(SAED)patterns can provide valuable insight into the structure of a ***,the manual identification of collected patterns can be a significant bottleneck in the overall phase classification *** this work,we utilize the recent advances in computer vision and machine learning(mL)to automate the indexing of SAED *** performance of six different mL algorithms is demonstrated using metallic plutonium-zirconium *** most successful approach trained a neural network(nn)to make a classification of the phase and zone axis,and then utilized a second nn to synthesize multiple independent predictions of different tilts in a single sample to make an overall phase *** results demonstrate that automated SAED phase identification using mL is a viable route to accelerate materials characterization.

Identifying rare patterns for medical diagnosis is a challenging task due to heterogeneity and the volume of *** summarization can create a concise version of the original data that can be used for effective *** this paper,we propose an ensemble summarization method that combines clustering and sampling to create a summary of the original data to ensure the inclusion of rare *** the best of our knowledge,there has been no such technique available to augment the performance of anomaly detection techniques and simultaneously increase the efficiency of medical *** performance of popular anomaly detection algorithms increases significantly in terms of accuracy and computational complexity when the summaries are ***,the medical diagnosis becomes more effective,and our experimental results reflect that the combination of the proposed summarization scheme and all underlying algorithms used in this paper outperforms the most popular anomaly detection techniques.

Due to advances in numerical modelling, it is possible to capture complex support-ground interaction intwo dimensions and three dimensions for mechanical analysis of complex tunnel support systems,although such analysis may still be too complex for routine design calculations. One such system is theforepole element, installed within the umbrella arch temporary support system for tunnels, whichwarrants such support measures. A review of engineering literature illustrates that a lack of designstandards exists regarding the use of forepole elements. Therefore, when designing such support, designersmust employ complex numerical models combined with engineering judgement. With referenceto past developments by others and new investigations conducted by the authors on the Driskos tunnelin Greece and the Istanbul metro, this paper illustrates how advanced numerical modelling tools canfacilitate understanding of the influences of design parameters associated with the use of forepole *** addition, this paper highlights the complexity of the ground-support interaction whensimulated with two-dimensional （2D） finite element software using a homogenous reinforced region,and three-dimensional （3D） finite difference software using structural elements. This paper further illustratessequential optimisation of two design parameters （spacing and overlap） using numericalmodelling. With regard to capturing system behaviour in the region between forepoles for the purpose ofdimensioning spacing, this paper employs three distinctive advanced numerical models： particle codes,continuous finite element models with joint set and Voronoi blocks. Finally, to capture the behaviour/failure ahead of the tunnel face （overlap parameter）, 2D axisymmetric models are employed. Finally,conclusions of 2D and 3D numerical assessment on the Driskos tunnel are drawn. An enhanced close-in phase noise LC-VCO using parasitic V-nPn transistors in a CmOS process

A differential LC voltage controlled oscillator （VCO） employing parasitic vertical-nPn （V-nPn） transistors as a negative gm-cell is presented to improve the close-in phase noise. The V-nPn transistors have lower flicker noise compared to mOS transistors. DC and AC characteristics of the V-nPn transistors are measured to facilitate the VCO design. The proposed VCO is implemented in a 0.18 μm CmOS RF/mixed signal process, and the measurement results show the close-in phase noise is improved by 3.5-9.1 dB from 100 Hz to 10 kHz offset compared to that of a similar CmOS VCO. The proposed VCO consumes only 0.41 mA from a 1.5 V power supply.
