Objective:To identify members of genera of rickettsia and *** ***:Rapid and duplex and nested PcR methods have been established by designing primers based on the conserved regions of heat shock protein GroEL gene.345 mouse viscera samples including liver,spleen and kidney,96 Xenopsylla cheopis and 32 chiggers collected from Hongta areas of Yuxi city,Yunnan province were tested by the new PcR ***:The result of the study showed that the new PcR methods could identify most members of genera -Rickettsia and Orientia simultaneously with 100%specificity and its sensitivity could test one copy per *** results of detection prevalence of rickettsioses in mouse,flea and mites DNA samples showed that the total rickettsia infection rate in mouse was 34.78%(120/345).The total infection rates in ***,O.t Karp and *** of mouse samples were 28.12%(97/345),19.71%(68/345) and O. 29%(1/345) ***-infection rates in *** and 0.t Karp of mouse samples were 13.33%(46/ 345).O.t Karp type has been the main epidemic strain in these ***:We concluded that this PcR method could be used to detect multi-genera rickettsia *** evidences provided in this and previous studies strongly support that Hongta areas of Yuxi city are a natural focus for typhus and scrub typhus with the common occurrence of their confection.

Postnatal development of rat retina:a continuous observation and comparison between the organotypic retinal explant model and in vivo development

The organotypic retinal explant culture has been established for more than a decade and offers a range of unique advantages compared with in vivo experiments and cell ***,the lack of systematic and continuous comparison between in vivo retinal development and the organotypic retinal explant culture makes this model controversial in postnatal retinal development ***,we aimed to verify the feasibility of using this model for postnatal retinal development studies by comparing it with the in vivo *** this study,we showed that postnatal retinal explants undergo normal development,and exhibit a consistent structure and timeline with retinas in ***,we used SOX2 and PAX6 immunostaining to identify retinal progenitor *** then examined cell proliferation and migration by immunostaining with Ki-67 and doublecortin,***-67-and doublecortin-positive cells decreased in both in vivo and explants during postnatal retinogenesis,and exhibited a high degree of similarity in abundance and distribution between ***,we used ceh-10 homeodomain-containing homolog,glutamate-ammonia ligase(glutamine synthetase),neuronal nuclei,and ionized calcium-binding adapter molecule 1 immunostaining to examine the emergence of bipolar cells,müller glia,mature neurons,and microglia,*** timing and spatial patterns of the emergence of these cell types were remarkably consistent between in vivo and explant *** study showed that the organotypic retinal explant culture model had a high degree of consistency with the progression of in vivo early postnatal retina *** findings confirm the accuracy and credibility of this model and support its use for long-term,systematic,and continuous observation.

Polyesters,such as polylactide(PLA),are a class of biodegra-dable and biocompatible polymers that have received increasing attention in biomedicine,agriculture,and commodity thermoplastics[1-2].However,the lack of pendant functionality of conventional polyesters makes it difficult to modify and modulate the physicochemical properties in subsequent applications[3-4].Since 2006[5],the ring-opening polymerization(ROP)of O-carbox-yanhydrides(OcAs),which can be readily synthesized from amino acid or hydroxyl acid precursors,has been recognized as a promising route to functionalized polyesters[3-4].However,due to the increased methine c-H acidity,significant racemization of the stereogenic center and decreased stereoregularity have been identified for most OcAs,for instance,manOcA[6](OcA from mandelic acid)and SerOcA[7](OcA from serine),when using typical 4-(dimethylamino)pyridine(DmAP)as *** minimize epimerization,some classical metal-based catalysts of coordination polymerization have been introduced to mediate ROP of OcAs,furnishing isotactic polyesters[8].

control of the formation and stability of reverted austenite is critical in achieving a favorable combination of strength,ductility,and toughness in high-strength *** this work,the effects of cu precipitation on the austenite reversion and mechanical properties of maraging stainless steels were investigated by atom probe tomography,transmission electron microscopy,and mechanical *** results indicate that cu accelerates the austenite reversion kinetics in two manners:first,cu,as an austenite stabilizer,increases the equilibrium austenite fraction and hence enhances the chemical driving force for the austenite formation,and second,cu-rich nanoprecipitates promote the austenite reversion by serving as heterogeneous nucleation sites and providing Ni-enriched chemical conditions through interfacial *** addition,the cu precipitation hardening compensates the strength drop induced by the formation of soft reverted *** tensile deformation,the metastable reverted austenite transforms to martensite,which substantially improves the ductility and toughness through a transformation-induced plasticity(TRIP)*** cu-added maraging stainless steel exhibits a superior combination of a yield strength of~1.3 GPa,an elongation of~15%,and an impact toughness of~58 J.

Ordered intermetallics possess attractive high-temperature properties; however, low ductility and brittle fracture limit their use as engineering materials in many cases. This paper provides a comprehensive review on the recent progress in the development of ductile ordered intermetallics and summarizes the strategies used to improve the tensile ductility of ordered intermetallics, including control of ordered crystal structures,engineering grain-boundary structure and chemistry, eliminating environmental embrittlement, microstructure optimization, control of phase stability, and promoting transformation-/twining-induced plasticity. The basic ideas and related mechanisms underlying these ductilizing strategies are discussed. In addition, a brief mention of the current use of intermetallic alloys for structural and corrosion applications is made.

ZnBiYO4 was synthesized by a solid-state reaction method for the first time. The structural and photocatalytic properties of ZnBiYO4 were characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and UV-Vis diffuse reflectance. ZnBiYO4 crystallized with a tetragonal spinel structure with space group I41/A. The lattice parameters for ZnBiYO4 were a = b = 11.176479 A and c = 10.014323 A. The band gap of ZnBiYO4 was estimated to be 1.58 eV. The photocatalytic activity of ZnBiYO4 was assessed by photodegradation of methyl orange under visible light irradiation. The results showed that ZnBiY04 had higher catalytic activity compared with N-doped TiO2 under the same experimental conditions using visible light irradiation. The photocatalytic degradation of methyl orange with ZnBiYO4 or N-doped TiO2 as catalyst followed first-order reaction kinetics, and the first-order rate constant was 0.01575 and 0.00416 rain-1 for ZnBiYO4 and N-doped TiO2, respectively. After visible hght irradiation for 220 min with ZnBiYO4 as catalyst, complete removal and mineralization of methyl orange were observed. The reduction of total organic carbon, formation of inorganic products, SO24- and NO3^-, and evolution of cO2 revealed the continuous mineralization of methyl orange during the photocatalytic process. The intermediate products were identified using liquid chromatog- raphy-mass spectrometry. The ZnBiYO4/（visible light） photocatalysis system was found to be suitable for textile industry wastewater treatment and could be used to solve other environmental chemical pollution problems.

As sessile organisms, plants have evolved with complex signaling networks to cope with the constantly changing environment. Receptor-like kinases （RLKs） and calcium both play important roles during the early stage of envi- ronmental responses in plants. RLKs are trans-membrane receptor kinases that sense extracellular signals, such as hormones, peptides, and pathogens, and trigger sig- nal transduction pathways leading to cellular responses （Osakabe et al., 2013）.

The catellani reaction,originally discovered by catellani in 1997,and further developed by catellani,Lautens and others,has emerged as a powerful strategy for the synthesis of polysubstituted arenes,which would be difficult to access via traditional *** this process,both ortho-and/pso-positions of aryl halides could be functionalized simultaneously with different electrophiles and terminating agents under the cooperative catalysis of palladium and norbornene(NBE).This review focuses on the significant progress of such transformations,and the section of typical catellani reactions is divided into five parts according to the functionalization mode of ortho-c-H bond:alkylation,arylation,amination,acylation or thiolation.

Preparation of Zrc-Sic composite coatings by chemical vapor deposition and study of co-deposition mechanism

In this work, the Zr c-Sic composite coatings were co-deposited by chemical vapor deposition(cVD)using Zrcl4, mTS, cH4 and H2 as raw materials. The morphologies, compositions and phases of the composite coatings were characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEm), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDS) and X-ray diffraction(XRD). The results indicated that the morphologies, compositions and phases of the composite coatings were related to the deposition temperature, the flow rate of the carrier H2 gas, and the ratio of c/Zr. moreover, the co-deposition mechanism of the composite coatings was also studied. It was found that different deposition temperatures resulted in different deposition mechanisms. At temperatures in the range of 1150–1250℃, the Zr c-Sic co-deposition was controlled by the surface kinetic process. At temperatures in the range of 1250–1400℃, the Zr c-Sic co-deposition was controlled by the mass transport process.

Seismic rock physical modelling for gas hydrate-bearing sediments

There are ambiguities and uncertainties in the recognition of gas hydrate seismic reflections and in quantitative predictions of physical information of natural gas hydrate reservoirs from seismic data. Rock physical modelling is a bridge that transforms the seismic information of geophysical observations into physical information, but traditional rock physics models lack descriptions of reservoir micro-structures and pore-filling materials. considering the mineral compositions and pore microstructures of gas hydrates, we built rock physical models for load-bearing and pore-filling gas hydrate-bearing sediments,describe the mineral compositions, pore connectivity and pore shape using effective media theory, calculated the shear properties of pore-filling gas hydrates using Patchy saturation theory and Generalized Gassmann theory, and then revealed the quantitative relation between the elastic parameters and physical parameters for gas hydrate-bearing sediments. The numerical modelling results have shown that the ratios of P-wave and S-wave velocities decrease with hydrate saturation, the P-wave and S-wave velocities of load-bearing gas hydrate-bearing sediments are more sensitive to hydrate saturation, sensitivity is higher with narrower pores, and the ratios of the P-wave and S-wave velocities of pore-filling gas hydrate-bearing sediments are more sensitive to shear properties of hydrates at higher hydrate saturations. Theoretical analysis and practical application results showed that the rock physical models in this paper can be used to calculate the quantitative relation between macro elastic properties and micro physical properties of gas hydrate-bearing sediments, offer shear velocity information lacking in well logging, determine elastic parameters that have more effective indicating abilities, obtain physical parameters such as hydrate saturation and pore aspect ratios, and provide a theoretical basis and practical guidance for gas hydrate quantitative predic
