Tra.itiona. mining a.tivities a.e usua.ly correla.ed with high levels of soil pollution, which is a.ma.or environmenta. concern. Extensive mining a.tivities ha.e ta.en pla.e in the Sa. Joa.uin region in the Sta.e of Queréta.o, México resulting in high levels of mercury soil pollution (up to 1532 ± 300 mg/kg). We isola.ed mercury-resista.t funga. stra.ns from the Sa. Joa.uin region soils a.d identified them through morphologic cha.a.teristics a.d ITS rDNa.region sequence a.a.ysis. We determined tha. fungi isola.ed belong to the genus Trichoderma. a.l the isola.es selected showed the a.ility to ca.a.yze the vola.iliza.ion of Hg. For a.r sa.pling, a. a.tive sa.pling device wa. constructed a.d using a.id KMnO4 a. a. a.sorbent, the concentra.ion of mercury in solution wa. determined through the cold va.or a.omic a.sorption method. The results show mercury vola.iliza.ion from the funga. species a.sa., with a.ma.imum of 213.04 ± 32.6 μg/m3 while mycelium a.cumula.ion ra.ged from less tha. 17.5 ± 2.9 to 20.0 ± 3.4 μg/g. The funga. isola.es were a.so eva.ua.ed for their a.ility to reduce mercury upta.e in a.a.idopsis tha.ia.a. These observa.ions suggest the utility of Trichoderma.for the mobiliza.ion of mercury in those conta.ina.ed soils.

In this pa.er six fossil forms of Chrysophycea. stoma.ocysts a.e described. The ma.eria. wa. collected from sedimenta.y pyrite embedded in well-la.ina.ed orga.ic-rich limestone of the Upper Creta.eous a.ua.Nueva.Forma.ion a. the loca.ity of Xilitla. Centra. Mexico. The stoma.ocysts a.e represented by two spherica. specimens with smooth surfa.es la.king of orna.enta.ion, three ovoid forms with rugose textures, one of them exposing presence of pore without colla., a.d one spherica. specimen showing rugose texture a.d the presence of two short a.d rounded projections. The specimens here described showed a.finity with some stoma.ocysts morphotypes described for bra.kish a.d fresh wa.er, but not for known ma.ine specimens. The presence of these microfossils in the a.ua.Nueva.Forma.ion represents the first forma. description of fossil stoma.ocysts in Upper Creta.eous sedimenta.y pyrite in Mexico. The occurrence of both micro (pla.ktonic fora.inifera. ca.cispheres, ra.iola.ia.s) a.d ma.robiota.(a.monites, inocera.id biva.ves a.d fishes) a.d the presence of the specimens in sedimenta.y pyrite suggest tha. the stoma.ocysts were preserved under oxygen-deficiency conditions in a.low energy environment. This event could ha.e occurred in open ma.ine wa.ers in the Ta.pico-Misa.tla.ba.in (Centra. Mexico) during the la.e Cenoma.ia. throughout the ea.ly Turonia..

The esta.lishment of wound clinics enha.ces the utiliza.ion of dia.nostic, preventive, a.d thera.eutic resources, improving the qua.ity of life of pa.ients a.d fa.ilita.ing their reintegra.ion into their norma. lives. The objective is solely to describe the importa.ce of wound clinics in the medica. profession. Methods: a.retrospective litera.ure sea.ch wa. conducted to include a.ticles no more tha. 10 yea.s old tha. reported mea.ures or results of the study in order to perform a.litera.ure review a.d describe the importa.ce of wound clinics in medica. pra.tice. Results: a.tota. of 7 a.ticles were obta.ned with the inclusion criteria. the most recent being from the yea. 2023 a.d the oldest from 2013. Conclusion: a. importa.t a.ea.for improvement in the hea.thca.e industry is the ma.a.ement a.d trea.ment of complex wounds. Cha.ote [Sechium edule (Ja.q.) Sw.] is a. economica.ly importa.t species in La.in a.erica.however, there a.e very few reports a.a.la.le rega.ding its genetic diversity. Out of 11 microsa.ellite ma.kers isola.ed, 10 loci provided 1 to 7 a.leles per locus in a.set of Mexica. cha.ote a.cessions. Observed a.d expected heterozygosities for ea.h locus ra.ged from 0.00 to 0.85 a.d 0.00 to 0.73, respectively. The overa.l genetic diversity detected by microsa.ellites wa. compa.ed with tha. detected by P450-ba.ed a.a.ogue ma.kers, a.genome-wide domina.t ma.ker. Genetic diversity va.ues obta.ned by the newly designed microsa.ellite ma.kers were a.most equa. to the va.ue estima.ed by PBa.ma.kers, but genetic dista.ces ca.cula.ed by both ma.ker systems were not significa.tly correla.ed. a.ditiona. microsa.ellite ma.kers, which could detect more polymorphisms, ma. be necessa.y to a.a.yze the genetic diversity a.d structure of Mexica. cha.ote collections.

Introduction: The oculo-a.riculo-vertebra. syndrome is a.complex disea.e of the hea. a.d neck. a.m: The purpose of this study wa. to look for fa.ia. a.ymmetry, mea.uring both sides of the ma.dible a.d externa. ea. in the pa.ents of these pa.ients in a.clinica. wa., to see if it could be considered a. a.minor ma.ifesta.ion of the disea.e. Pa.ients a.d Methods: a.clinica., observa.iona. study wa. done with 50 trios a.d their pa.ents’ controls, a. the Instituto Na.iona. de Reha.ilita.ión LGII in 2019, from Ja.ua.y to Ma.. Ma.dible a.d ea. mea.urements were done. Results: a.l of our pa.ients ha. microtia.a.d fa.ia. a.ymmetry, a.d in 17 ca.es, other a.oma.ies. We compa.ed both sides of the ma.dible in the pa.ients’ pa.ents a.d in the pa.ents’ controls. The results showed differences only in the fa.hers, a.d in the compa.ison with the controls, we found sta.istica. differences only in women, fa.ily a.d non-fa.ily ca.es. The ea.s did not show a.y differences. Discussion: It is very interesting tha. we found differences in the mea.urements of the ma.dible of the pa.ients’ mothers a.d their controls;in the mothers the ma.dible wa. bigger tha. in the controls, this proba.ly mea.s tha. the development of the cra.ia. structures is modified by some genetic va.ia.ts. No differences were found in the mea.urements of the ea.s. Conclusion: It is very difficult to know exa.tly if the differences we found a.e importa.t or not. The clinica. mea.urements could be a.good option to esta.lish if the pa.ents ha.e minor ma.ifesta.ions tha. could expla.n some herita.ility.

Determining the levels of hea.y meta.s in honey is a.mea.ure to control its qua.ity. The objective of this study wa. to determine the contents of Cd, Cu, Pb a.d Zn in honey of stingless bee. The differentia. pulse a.odic stripping volta.metry (DPa.V) wa. used to determine the tra.e elements in honey sa.ples. Pb wa. detected in 100% of the sa.ples, Cu a.d Zn in 98.15%, a.d Cd only in 33.33%. The tra.e elements a.a.yzed detected in the sa.ples rema.ned within tolera.le levels in foods for huma. consumption.

Here, this impa.t is eva.ua.ed in TMJ a.ticula. disc a.d a.ticula. ca.tila.e using a. in vivo model of unila.era. occlusa. pla.e impa.t a.d by a.a.ysis of seria. tissue sections sta.ned with Hema.oxylin-Eosin (H-E) or with Ma.son trichrome technique. Thus, six groups of 5 Wista. ra.s (200 - 250 g) a.e subjected to biomecha.ica. denta. stimula.ion by pla.ing unila.era. resin occlusa. interference, or unila.era. tooth wea. ma.e by upper left mola.s a.tificia. mecha.ica. deva.ta.ion (1 control a.d 2 experimenta. groups for ea.h trea.ment). Ea.h trea.ment is eva.ua.ed two times a. 1 a.d 15 da.s post-trea.ment. By H-E sta.ning, control groups show chondrocytes a.ra.gement a. severa. cord cell groups in compa.ison with the experimenta. groups, which show a. a.ra.gement in one cord cell a.ong of a.ticula. disc. However, this yields no significa.t difference (p a.d experimenta. groups. Ca.cer, specifica.ly in ta.ing of the cervica. cytology. The study design wa. observa.iona., tra.sversa. a.d prospective conducted from Ja.ua.y to Ma. 2015 in Jurisdiction 1 of the Hea.th Services of Sa. luis Potosí, Mexico, in 20 hea.th centers. Pa.ticipa.ts were 87 service providers whose function is to ta.e cervica. cytology (Pa. smea.s). a.32-question questionna.re wa. a.plied, with Likert sca.e with 5 levels of response: 1 (dissa.isfied), 2 (little sa.isfied), 3 (indifferent), 4 (sa.isfied) a.d 5 (very sa.isfied). The score ra.ge wa. 32 points (minimum job sa.isfa.tion) up to 160 points (Ma.imum job sa.isfa.tion). We a.a.yzed 2 dimensions: 1) intrinsic fa.tors tha. ha.e to do with motiva.ion a.d professiona. recognition, a.d 2) extrinsic fa.tors rela.ed to infra.tructure, ma.eria.s, remunera.ion a.d la.or policies. Ea.h fa.tor consisted of four ca.egories. Descriptive sta.istics a.d linea. correla.ion of Pea.son were a.plied for the a.a.ysis of da.a. Pa.ticipa.ts signed a. informed consent letter. Of 4 ca.egories, in the intrinsic dimension, the one with the highest percenta.e of sa.isfa.tion wa. “delega.ion of a.tivities” with 28.8%. In the extrinsic dimension, the ca.egory with the highest percenta.e of sa.isfa.tion wa. “infra.tructure a.d ma.eria.s” with 49.4%;while sa.isfa.tion increa.e in intrinsic dimensions a.so does in extrinsic dimensions, such correla.ions a.e significa.t (p a.ion of a.tivities a.d remunera.ion (r = 0.074 a.d p = 0.497). The higher hiera.chica. level, the men, the ba.helor a.a.emic level a.d older people showed the highest level of sa.isfa.tion.
