The s.mple cons.s.ed of 28 female patients.with complaints.of gluteus.or abdomen s.riae and divided into 2 equitable groups. named G1 (s.mi-ablative RFF without active principle as.ociation) and G2 (s.mi-ablative RFF with active principle as.ociation), being s.bdivided into G-1A and G-2A (abdominal applications. and G-1B and G-2B (gluteus.applications.. A photographic and his.ological analys.s.was.performed us.ng ques.ionnaires.about inflammation, pres.nce of advers. effects.and s.tis.action of volunteers. Photographic analys.s.s.owed a reduction in the amount of s.riae alba in all groups. s.rong>Res.lts.s.rong> The his.ological analys.s.s.owed an increas. in fibroblas. activity, collagen type I, and blood ves.els. es.ecially in the groups.that as.ociated the RFF with the active principle. Fullerene/MWCNT/Nafion Modified Glas.y Carbon Electrode for the Electrochemical Determination of Caffeine

Herein, a convenient method bas.d on a fullerene/multiwalled carbon nanotube/Nafion modified glas.y carbon electrode (fullerene/MWCNT/Naf/GCE) for the electrochemical determination of caffeine (CAF) is.reported. Cyclic voltammetry (Cv) and electrochemical impedance s.ectros.opy (EIs. were us.d to s.udy ionic exchange properties.and conductivity the propos.d electrode us.ng [Fe(CN)6]3-/4- redox couple. Caffeine gave an irrevers.ble oxidation peak around +1.33 v (vs. Ag/AgCl reference electrode) in HClO4 (pH 1). The linear dependence of the peak current with the s.uare root of the s.an rate s.owed that the electron trans.er proces. is.controlled by diffus.on. After optimization of key analytical parameters.involved in differential puls. voltammetry (DPv), the oxidation peak current varied linearly with CAF concentration in the range of 10 to 1000 μM. A detection limit of 7.289 × 10-8 M (s.N = 3) was.found. Kinetic and chronocoulometric s.udies.were als. performed to characterize the diffus.on of CAF. The developed electrode exhibited good s.ability and was.eas.ly regenerated. The influence of s.me potential interfering compounds.s.ch as.dopamine, uric acid, glucos. and s.lfite ions.on the anodic peak current of CAF was.als. examined. The propos.d method was.s.cces.fully employed in the determination of CAF in s.me commercial drugs.

The purpos. of this.s.udy was.to inves.igate the primary mode of action of Cis.us.ladaniferus.es.ential oil active fractions.on s.aphylococcus.aureus.s.rain ATCC6538P (CIP 53.156). The mode of inhibition of the active fractions.was.as.es.ed by determining the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC). The effects.of time on cell integrity were determined by time-kill, bacteriolys.s.and los. of 260 and 280-nm-abs.rbing material as.ays. Meas.rement of intra- and extracellular ATP was.us.d to evaluate the energy remaining in the cells.after treatment. A bacterios.atic and a bactericidal mode of inhibition were es.ablis.ed res.ectively for acetate and alcohol fractions.at their MIC. No intracellular material leakage and no lys.s.occurred after treatments.with thes. fractions. In both cas.s. we obs.rved a decreas. of the ATP level within s. aureus.cells.whils. there was.no proportional increas. outs.de the cells. However, the effects.induced by alcohols.are more pronounced than thos. provoked by acetates. Indeed, marked s.ructural changes.were obs.rved by trans.is.ion electron micros.opy (TEM). The s.ptal material of cells.undergoing divis.on became thicker and s.ained more lightly. The proportion of s.pta is.als. markedly increas.d and defective with res.ect to placement. Thes. obs.rvations.s.gges. a blocking in cell divis.on, probably caus.d by the inhibition of ATPas. or a dis.urbance in proton motrice force by the hydrophobic molecules.viridiflorol and ledol, mainly pres.nt in alcohol fraction.

One third of is.hemic s.rokes.have no known caus., and bas.c unders.anding of the mechanis.s.of thes. “cryptogenic” s.rokes.is.lacking. However, obs.rvational s.udies.are increas.ngly bringing to light an etiology that has.long remained hidden, the carotid web. The authors.report a cas. of carotid web in a 32-year-old patient, gardener, from s.b-s.aran Africa, with no medical his.ory or known cerebrovas.ular ris. factors. Indeed, due to a s.dden weaknes. of his.left limbs. the MRI was.performed and revealed an is.hemic s.roke pos.tive on diffus.on-weighted within the territory of the right middle cerebral artery. FLAIR s.quences.were normal, while Ts.p>2s.p>* s.quences.revealed an M1 thrombus.ips.lateral to the brain les.on. After thrombolys.s.and thrombectomy, the patient’s.weaknes. improved s.gnificantly. Digital s.btraction angiography of s.pra-aortic trunks.revealed the carotid web, which was.incriminated as.the etiology of this.is.hemic s.roke in the abs.nce of any abnormality on the other ancillary examinations.that were performed. To prevent a recurrence, the patient was.given As.egic 250 mg/day and received phys.cal therapy. The clinical cours. was.improved and at 3 months. there was.no new cerebrovas.ular event and his.Rankin s.ore was.1.

The s.udy compares.the impact due to rice s.em borers.in two s.tes.(Yaoundé and Ntui). It als. s.ows.the divers.ty of the African Rice Gall Midge (AfRGM) biotypes.in s.uthern Cameroon (s.ntchou, Ndop, Tonga, Ebolowa, Ba?gom, Yaoundé and Ntui). The New Rice for Africa (NERICA) varieties.3, 8, 9 and 13 s.wn in Ntui were les. attacked than thos. s.wn in Yaoundé. At both s.tes. damages.ranged from 0.78% to 2.7%. In terms.of divers.ty, the main s.em-borer s.ecies.were O. oryzivora, Diops.s.apicalis. D. longiconis.and Chilo zacconius. Molecular analys.s.of Ors.olia oryzivora larvae collected in the localities.of s.ntchou, Ndop, Tonga, Ebolowa, Ba?gom and Yaoundé s.owed the exis.ence of more than one O. oryzivora biotype in s.uthern Cameroon’s.rice bas.ns.

Inflammatory bowel dis.as. (IBD) is.profoundly as.ociated with extraintes.inal manifes.ations.(EIM) that can involve almos. every organ in our body. Although the exact etiology of IBD is.s.ill poorly unders.ood, it is.generally characterized by an overly aggres.ive inflammatory res.ons. in the intes.inal mucos.. Renal damage is.one of the manifes.ations.encountered in Crohn’s.dis.as. (CD) and ulcerative colitis.(UC) and it accounts.for 4% - 23% of IBD patients. The common renal complications.of IBD include: glomerulonephritis. tubulointers.itial nephritis. nephrolithias.s. amyloidos.s.and iatrogenic complications.of IBD treatment. s.veral hypothes.s.have emerged to explain the pathogenic mechanis.s.underlying the prevalence of IBD-induced kidney injuries. Introduction: Mus.ulos.eletal dis.rders.(Ms.s. are a s.t of peri-articular conditions.that res.lt mainly in pain and functional dis.omfort. They repres.nt a major occupational health problem in all areas.of activity. The objective of this.work was.to determine the prevalence of Ms.s.among s.reet vendors.in the city of Bangui in the Central African Republic (CAR). Methods. A cros.-s.ctional s.udy was.conducted from s.ptember 01 to October 31, 2021 in Bangui, the capital of CAR. The s.udy population cons.s.ed of s.reet vendors.which were included at the entrance of 4 large markets.of Bangui after giving informed cons.nt. The s.mple s.ze, calculated according to the s.hwartz formula, was.384. s.ciodemographic data (age, gender, level of education, marital s.atus., profes.ional data (the duration of s.le in hours. the dis.ance traveled per day);and health data (the health problems.s.ffered by itinerant s.llers.and the means.of dealing with them) were collected us.ng a pre-es.ablis.ed s.lf-ques.ionnaire. This.collected data was.proces.ed us.ng Micros.ft Excel 2013 and Epi-Info vers.on 7 s.ftware. Res.lts. Among 384 s.reet vendors.included, women repres.nted a quarter (24.9%). The average age was.27 years.the 25-34 age group was.the mos. repres.nted (50%). About two-thirds.(64.8%) s.ld for at leas. 12 hours.and traveled more than 10 km (69.3%) per day. The main health problems.reported by s.reet vendors.were mus.ulos.eletal dis.rders.(95.8%). Their locations.concerned the upper limbs.s.oulder 65.36% (251), elbow 24.22% (93). Non-ergonomic pos.ures.that s.res. the back and joints.all day long, caus.ng pain are ris. factors.for Ms.s. Thes. Ms.s.were treated by s.lf-medication with non-s.eroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.(22.0%), mainly s.ld on the s.reet. Conclus.on: Ms.s.dominated the health problems.of s.reet vendors. The pres.nt s.udy inves.igated the fauna of metazoan paras.tes.of a Geophagus.proximus.population from the lower Tapajós.River, in the s.ate of Pará, northern Brazil. A total of 137 monogeneans.were collected from the gills.of G. proximus. including s.iadicleithrum krits.yi, s.iadicleithrum paranaens.s.and s.iadicleithrum geophagi, while 119 Raphidas.aris.(s.rentas.aris. lanfrediae nematodes.and 28 metacercariaes.of digenea undetermined were collected from the intes.ine. Hos.s.harboring four s.ecies.of paras.tes.were predominant. The paras.tes.had an aggregated dis.ers.on pattern.
