Updated prevalence of latent prostate cancer in Chinese population and comparison of biopsy results: An autopsy-based study

Prostate cancer detected by autopsy is named latent prostate cancer.As the repertoire of clinical prostate cancer,latent cancer may better reflect the disease burden.Unlike clinical prostate specimens,which are obtained exclusively from biopsy-positive cases,prostate specimens obtained through autopsy provide information on biopsy-negative cases,helping calculate the true sensitivity of prostate biopsy.From 2014 to 2021,we collected autopsy specimens of the prostate from body donors in China and performed transperineal and transrectal biopsies on specimens before step-sectioning and pathological measurements.We found that the crude prevalence of latent prostate cancer in middle-aged and elderly men was 35.1%(81/231),which was higher than previous estimates for Chinese populations.The overall per-patient sensitivities of transperineal and transrectal biopsies were not significantly different(33.3%vs.32.1%,p=0.82),but the two approaches differed in preferential sampling area along the proximal-distal axis of the prostate.Transperineal biopsy had a higher sensitivity for detecting clinically significant lesions in the distal third(34.7%vs.16.3%,p=0.02)and distal half(30.6%vs.18.1%,p=0.04),while transrectal biopsy had a higher sensitivity for lesions in the proximal half(25.0%vs.13.9%,p=0.046).Both transperineal and transrectal methods of biopsy missed most small lesions(0.5 mL).In conclusion,the prevalence of latent prostate cancer in China has increased over the past 2 decades.Systematic transperineal and transrectal methods of biopsy had comparable sensitivities but had different preferential sampling areas.Both approaches miss one-third of large lesions.

The Bozhong Sag is the largest petroliferous sag in the Bohai Bay Basin,and the source rocks of Paleogene Dongying and Shahejie Formations were buried deeply.Most of the drillings were located at the structural high,and there were few wells that met good quality source rocks,so it is difficult to evaluate the source rocks in the study area precisely by geochemical analysis only.Based on the Rock-Eval pyrolysis,total organic carbon(TOC)testing,the organic matter(OM)abundance of Paleogene source rocks in the southwestern Bozhong Sag were evaluated,including the lower of second member of Dongying Formation(E_(3)d2L),the third member of Dongying Formation(E_(3)d_(3)),the first and second members of Shahejie Formation(E_(2)s_(1+2)),the third member of Shahejie Formation(E_(2)s_(3)).The results indicate that the E_(2)s_(1+2)and E_(2)s_(3)have better hydrocarbon generative potentials with the highest OM abundance,the E_(3)d_(3)are of the second good quality,and the E_(3)d2L have poor to fair hydrocarbon generative potential.Furthermore,the well logs were applied to predict TOC and residual hydrocarbon generation potential(S_(2))based on the sedimentary facies classification,usingΔlogR,generalizedΔlogR,logging multiple linear regression and BP neural network methods.The various methods were compared,and the BP neural network method have relatively better prediction accuracy.Based on the pre-stack simultaneous inversion(P-wave impedance,P-wave velocity and density inversion results)and the post-stack seismic attributes,the three-dimensional(3D)seismic prediction of TOC and S_(2)was carried out.The results show that the seismic near well prediction results of TOC and S_(2)based on seismic multi-attributes analysis correspond well with the results of well logging methods,and the plane prediction results are identical with the sedimentary facies map in the study area.The TOC and S_(2)values of E_(2)s_(1+2)and E_(2)s_(3)are higher than those in E_(3)d_(3)and E_(3)d_(2)L,basically consistent with the geochemical analysis resul

The fracture behaviors and associated mechanisms of metallic materials under biaxial stress are vital for their manufacturability and service performance.In this work,the fracture behaviors of commercially pure titanium(CP-Ti)under quasi-uniaxial and equi-biaxial tension were investigated by using the digital image correlation technique and finite element modeling.The fracture behaviors under quasi-uniaxial tension were characterized by a general normal fracture.In contrast,normal fracture firstly occurred per-pendicular to the rolling direction(RD)under equi-biaxial tension,followed by secondary shear fracture along the 45°direction relative to the RD.The normal fracture was attributed to the lower strain hard-ening ability in RD compared to the transverse direction(TD)induced by the TD-split type basal texture.The different hardening abilities introduced large shear stress in the 45°direction,which contributed sig-nificantly to the secondary shear fracture.An anisotropy parameter K(△S_(s)/σ_(s)),defined as the ratio of the equivalent effective traction stress to the yield strength,was proposed for the first time,to predict the fracture path with the impact of crystallographic preferred orientation.

Vanadium disulfide(VS_(2)) as a typical two-dimensional transition metal chalcogenide has excellent competitiveness for sodium-ion storage due to its wide layer spacing(0.575 nm),high theoretical capacity of 932mAh·g^(-1) originating from multi-electron electrochemical redox.However,continuous sodiation process accompanied by crystal structural evolution and collapse cause rapid capacity decaying.Herein,novel few-layer VS_(2)nanosheets with open(001) crystal planes are in-situ constructed on reduced graphene oxide to solve these issues mentioned above.It indicates that few-layer VS_(2)provides more Na^(+) storage activity due to the low Na^(+)surface migration energy barrier on exposed crystal(001)planes.The flexible and high electronic conductivity of carbon matrix also effectively builds multi-level buffer structure and electron transport kinetics to boost the Na^(+)insertion/conversion reactive activity on VS_(2) as well as Na^(+) pseudocapacitance storage kinetics on edges and defects of nano sheets.Those coupling effects result in high rate capability and long cycling stability as a battery/capacitor anode.It delivers conspicuous high energy density of 81 and 40 Wh·kg^(-1) at power density of 118 and 10,286W·kg^(-1),as well as 80% energy retention rate after 5000cycles,confirming its great application potential in sodiumbased storage devices.

Correlation between precipitates evolution and mechanical properties of Al-Sc-Zr alloy with Er additions during isothermal ageing were investigated by microhardness measurements,transmission electron microscopy,atom probe tomography and density functional theory-based simulations.The results demonstrate that the Er additions significantly improve the hardness during elevated temperature ageing,especially at 400℃.This is mainly because Er additions increase the nucleation rate of the Al_(3)(Er,Sc,Zr)precipitates,resulting in a higher density of fine and uniform dispersion of L1_(2)structured nanoparticles.First-principles calculations demonstrate that the second nearest neighboring solute-solute interactions for the species Sc,Zr and Er are energetically favored–a key feature to rationalize the observed precipitate structure and the underlying formation mechanism.The sequential formation of the core/shell precipitates in the Er-free alloy and core/double-shell precipitates in the Er-containing alloy arises due to the different solute-solute and solute-vacancy interaction energies,and the relative diffusivities of the Er,Sc and Zr species in Al.These results shed light on the beneficial effects of Er additions on the agehardening behavior of Al-Sc-Zr alloy and provide guidance for designing the ageing treatments for the Al-Sc-Zr(-Er)alloys.

Mixed-cation perovskite solar cells have attracted tremendous attention in space applications due to their excellent power conversion efficiency (PCE) and stability to light and heat.Although the evolution of photovoltaic performance in different space environments has been investigated,the role of inorganic cesium ions (Cs^(+)) in the enhancement of irradiation resistance needs to be further clarified.Herein,the structure and performance evolution of Cs-doped CH_(3)NH_(3)PbI_(3)(MAPbI_(3)) films and planar heterojunction devices under proton irradiation up to 1×10^(16)p cm^(-2) were studied.5%of Cs^(+) doping can increase the cohesive energy of MAPbI_(3)and effectively alleviate the lattice strain induced by proton irradiation,thereby enhancing the crystallinity and stability of films.The bandgap changes of irradiated Cs_(0.05)MA_(0.95)PbI_(3) films under the identical fluence were only one third of that of MAPbI_(3) films.Upon irradiation under the fluence of 1×10^(14)p cm^(-2),the density of trap states in the undoped and 5%Cs-doped films increased by 71%and 9%,respectively,and the average PCE of 20 corresponding devices decreased only by 12%and 9%,respectively.This proves that the replacement of organic methylamine ion with inorganic cesium ion contributes to the improvement of MAPbI_(3) resistance to proton irradiation,thus confirming the application prospects of mixed-cation or all-inorganic perovskite solar cells in spacecraft.

Interface wettability is a vital role in directly impacting the electrical contact characteristics of oxides/Cubased composites under arc erosion.Exploring its influence mechanism,especially at atomic/electronic scales,is significant but challenging for the rational design of oxides/Cu contacts.Here,we designed Zn_(2)SnO_(4)/Cu electrical contacts aiming to solve the poor wettability of SnO_(2)/Cu composites.It was found that Zn_(2)SnO_(4)could remarkably improve the arc resistance of Cu-based electrical contacts,which was benefited by the excellent interface wettability of Zn_(2)SnO_(4)/Cu.The characterization of eroded surface indicated that Zn_(2)SnO_(4)particles distributed uniformly on the contact surface,leading to stable electrical contact characteristic.Nevertheless,SnO_(2)considerably deteriorated the arc resistance of SnO_(2)/Cu composite by agglomerating on the surface.The effect mechanism of wettability on arc resistance was investigated through density function theory(DFT)study.It revealed that strong polar covalent bonds across the Zn_(2)SnO_(4)/Cu interface contributed to improving the interfacial adhesion strength/wettability and thus significantly enhanced the arc resistance.For binary SnO_(2)/Cu interface,ionic bonds resulted in weak interface adhesion,giving rise to deterioration of electrical contact characteristic.This work discloses the bonding mechanism of oxide/Cu interfaces and paves an avenue for the rational design of ternary oxide/Cu-based electrical contact materials.

情态述补结构“V得/不C”是汉语中的一种多义情态表达式,文章从语义-语用接口的角度,发现事件的[可控]和[意愿]两种特征都会对其情态类型的解读产生影响。[可控]是语义特征,对“V得/不C”的情态解读起到基础性作用,表现在:[+可控]会产生动力情态解读,[-可控]会产生认识情态解读。而[意愿]是在[可控]之上的语用特征,会改变[可控]对“V得/不C”情态解读的作用,表现在:[-可控]的事件如果具有[+意愿]特征,“V得/不C”就会反转为表达动力情态;[+可控]的事件如果具有[-意愿]特征,“V得/不C”就会反转为表达认识情态。
